I've tried writing a book with someone. It didn't work because we had different ideas about E V E R Y T H I N G. Roleplaying is good for keeping writing skills and character development, but I don't feel like it's the best for improving writing content.

Glace, I agree. Sequin, I would say personally, rps have way improved my writing skills. I'm up to being able to pump out 700 words at least now usually.

Personally, when people say it's all about quality not quanity, normally with quality comes quantity. I've seen that in my own writing. It depends on what writing skills you are talking about. I have WP to thank for being able to quickly write papers. However, I am not sure how much quality content WP has helped me. Edit: I feel like I am contradicting myself so if someone can explain to me what I mean, that would be great Edited at August 26, 2020 01:25 PM by ~Non Sequitur~

I don't know XD I feel like WP is what improved my writing and has me so far ahead of most people in my school in terms of composistion. I don't take long to write essays and I feel like my post quality is pretty good and the style I developed is a very personal one. I am able to deliver with both quanitiy and quality. In all honesty I feel like it doesn't matter if you have a long post and I only have two paragraphs to respond to out of that, because to me, that was a waste of time because it doesn't further the rp. I want my partners to make progress in the story too without me directing every plot movement and that's what makes rping fun. So I'm a quality over quantity person, but I pick partners who can give me long posts with great quality writing. and honestly, as someone who joined this site at a barely semi-lit and have only been literate rping for a little over a year, I'd say WP was a major contribution to my progress. But honestly everyones experiences are different, I've just done a ton of rping here and have always been trying to improve.

I think I get what you are saying and I really believe it is just different for different people I guess. Based on how committed you are to actually learning and all that stuff. Sorry if I start sounding philosophical at times, sociology is really getting to me.

I feel like I would like sociology even though I don't understand why someone would take that

It's a requirement so I have to take it. Not a choice. Anyway, interesting to an extent. I can post one of my discussion pieces on here if you want a taste of what I have to do. Lol
