I don't have any images for this yet since it's random. But on the random chance that I fail looking in grendel's lair or taking a closer looks at the sleeping dreki and I'm supposed to battle them. I can't I go to move off the tile to prompt the battle button to come up but they just dissappear. I also have never been able to do this one specific event encounter. All my wolves (for explore) are maxed in everything except maternal and charsmia like how do you get a coin from this. (See image) |

Yes and no I 9/10 times get the coins for the Dreki and Grendel. But on the off occasion I need to battle him I can't they just disappear.

Grendel's Lair isn't a bug, your wolves back down from fighting and no battle is supposed to start. If I get the Dreki event / fail it I'll double check that too. As for the cottage tile, I agree there might be something funky going on with it - it's possible I've just been unlucky but my wolves have never toggled an event with it. |

The dreki one doesnt/isnt meant to start a battle either (just got it) Also, I have got a gold coin fron the old human building, I believe I just finished a quest for it. Unless there's two, I think the name of the one I had a quest for is the Mead Hall? It'd be strange that my wolves with how little CP they have could find the coin |

I've gotten the Mead Hall before too! But I thought they were different buildings? The cottage is smaller/has a mossy roof (like in the original post) and I believe the Mead Hall is a longer building with a more yellow/gold roof

Follow-up to this, just got the Mead Hall and it does appear to be a different building than the cottage

I don't think you can get a coin from the green roof one I took my max CP wolf out alone with a pup just to check and I got the green roof one, it just doesn't give anything. I think it's just splash text that just adds flavour but does nothing |
