I bought a wolf a couple of weeks ago, I'm pretty sure it was from the trading post. At the time I had also gotten another mela, I think this one from an auction. I may have them backward though.

I sold the one I didn't like as much.

I just noticed, though, that the one I kept doesn't have melanism anymore. I know I specifically looked up the defect melanism in the trading post. No matter which of the two wolves I got from the trading post, I know they both had melanism.

i mean I doubt anything can be done, since it doesnt say the wolf has the defect

its not an Mela he has Maelstorm pelt

oh yea this too, it looks dark. but a mela is a wolf with the defect:melanism and a dark look

Maybe you accidently sold the one with the actual defect (if you liked the wolf) and kept the one from the auction?

Nooo, they both said Defect: melanism. I kept the one I liked more and days later I realized his defect was gone.

But it's okay, I've just given up.
