What talent is needed? Could it be maternal?

I never fail other empathy tiles but I fail this one occasionally.

However, there aren't any other tiles with maternal nor charisma so-

Are you talking about the snake tile? If so, yes you need maternal. If you do chase away the snake, you get +5 moves
