Name: Fenrys
Age: 5
Gender: Male
Rank: Master Cheftain of the Wild Hunt
Desired Rank: He says he's content. Whether he thinks that is a different story
Reputation: Well, with a bit of an ego to start. Fenrys is a bit difficult to deal with - more so if he doesn't like you - but if you can tolerate him, he can tolerate you. If you want his ear and for him to not be as dismissive and closed off, it would have helped if you didn't rub off as an idiot on first encounters with him. Oh, that's already happened? Sorry, can't help you anymore. He's more inclined to talk to people who aren't idiots in his eyes.
Thoughts On The Trials: Well, they work. While he's amicable with the trials themselves... in all honesty, he doesn't want a youngster jumping from being below him to being the boss of him in the span of a day. He doesn't care how good they are. Something about ascending like that sits like a sour lemon inside him. The thought that he too will eventually be replaced-
Appearance:
Fenrys has a mixed greyscale coat. He has high white socks that terminate at his shoulders, and a strip of white along the bottom of his stomach. The rest of his lower body gradients to a lighter shade of grey, and the middle and upper half of his body are a shade of dark gray.
The light grey creeps up the front of his chest and gives Fenrys a slightly lighter chest with a hint of white and gray in it.
Fenrys's jaw also has a similar property, with his lower jawline being a slightly lighter shade of grey than his upper jawline and his forehead. His face is slightly lighter than the rest of his body, however.
It's more of the way he holds himself that marks him, however. Proud of what he's done in the pack, unflinching because he has enough confidence to know that he can cope. At almost 60 kgs, and a shoulder height of around 85cm with a build to match (apologies to the Americans out here, but I'm part of the Commonwealth), he's got enought self-confidence to know what he can and can't do. He holds himself tall and straight, with maybe a tad too much ego.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), a lot of it falls on the "can" side.
Personality:
Fenrys is a bit of a character. Honestly, it depends on whatever Fenrys thinks when he first sees one that shapes what he thinks of them no matter what. First impressions matter to this guy a lot.
To any outsider, Fenrys starts off almost unbearably. Extremely dismissive of others that he doesn't like or doesn't know (or both), it's a marked challenge for once you get on his bad side to get back. Not that anyone really wants to, but he's put up a mental wall agains you and will literally turn his back.
Anyone who's passed the first step of being able to tolerate him and not rubbing off on first impressions as someone that he'd instantly dislike, he's more willing to tolerate. And listen to - somewhat. Depending on how close you are, he might have a tendency to nod along and just straight up ignore whatever you said if it's not important. Honestly, it depends if he wants to be your friend or not is the deciding factor here - congratulations, you're not instantly disliked! Now the problem is if Fenrys actually wants to associate with you.
Anyone passing that final step pretty much just gets Fenrys' ear. He naturally has a bit of an ego from his build, and he's a bit difficult to deal with. He's got more of an open mind once you pass this point, though.
He's willing to discuss matters with those that he can associate with, though, and hey! Behind that cold and dismissive exterior is... oh, I'm sorry, only a slightly less cold and less dismissive attitude in the interior. And to think anyone thought otherwise...
Fenrys knows what he thinks and doesn't doubt it, even if it's incorrect. And he makes that known. Resultantly, he doesn't believe in "redemption" or hidden interiors of gems. What you've got on the outside is what you've got on the inside, give or take with a bit of trust. Result - he keeps a lot of his thoughts to himself, especially when they're not helpful. He's not winning popularity contests - he holds himself slightly seperate from everyone else. He's earned his rank through fighting for it, and he's unrepetant of it (as well as everything else) and is planning to keep it as long as he's able to. No shame and no pain in what he thinks is right, really. He believes in himself.
Despite all this, Fenrys can have a "happy" side - or, really, as happy as his muzzle, locked in a permanent separatist expression, is really able to. He's willing to be happy for someone or himself when the occasion deserves it. The key word there, as he'd highlight, is only when it's deserved. He's not going to be happy about something that he really thinks is below his attention.
He can even form close relationships - but only if he wants to. Again, it's not like he wants to be close to everyone and whatnot.
Another thing that runs deep in his blood is his analysis side. He's already judgemental, no? Adding a deeper analysis that he inwardly thinks doesn't make that any better. Not only is Fenrys judgemental, but then he's quite nify about analyzing not only wolves but everything else. Partly how he's risen to this role, he's actually smart about what he does and he analyzes... freaking everything. Coming to conclusions and making a decision from it is second naure to him - whether it's where did the prey go to what should he do about this particular wolf.
Overall, Fenrys isn't the best one to come to with a sob story. He's judgemental, and will often act on his decisions - but never let it be said he doesn't think first. He does. He thinks, and acts at the same time. He's able to form close ties where he doesn't judge one, and doesn't dismiss one. But those relationships are few and far between nowadays.
Crush: Absolutely not.
Relationship Status: To the world, Larkspur is his mate on paper only, tied by their son, and in all practicality forbidden contact due to her status. To the world, they barely have any contact, and are only still mates because of their son.
To Fenrys, Lark is much more than that. And the world doesn't know, and never will know, how far he's willing to go for her.
Familial Ties: If he did have any alive parents, it's likely he wouldn't use them much to the point where he's distant from them.
Familial Relationships: Fenrys doesn't hold many close relationships, and his family is not one of them. If he does (and I doubt it), he'd likely slightly distance himself.
Offspring: Cairo - Son. While Cairo is definitely his mother's son, due to the inability to communicate Fenrys still is pulling his full weight as a parent, inwardly somewhat happy with him - he just rarely shows it.
Pack Affiliations: Filled in later I believe
Other: Oh, this is a tricky one. Hmmm.
A cow can jump over a two meter fence (no joke), but a wolf can jump a 3 meter fence. Chew on that next time you try make something "wolf-proof" or whatnot - jumping isn't solely limited to humans, in fact we have terrible jumping skills compared to other animals. Only one and a half meters? That's not even the height of ourselves... even cows and wolves can do better.
