Appearance: we're doing post-res, guys- He is a male kitsune/elf hybrid, stands at 6'3" (1.9m), and has a wiry, muscled figure. Without his muscle mass, he would be considered underweight. What's visible of his pale skin is covered in scars, both old and new, and his lips, hands, forearms, and collarbones are covered in scabs and small cuts/bite marks. This combines into a image of frailty, like a skinny and wounded animal. He has a long, V-shaped torso with curvy hips and a broad chest. He has three long diagonal scars over his heart, closer to his sternum, spanning over the height of his entire left pec. The scars are bright gold, reminiscent of kintsugi, though the tissue is twisted and knotted. His arms are slightly longer than a humans', which, along with his digitigrade legs, allows for easier quadrupedal movement. His body is mostly covered in thick, fluffy fur, generally following the pattern of human body hair. It covers the outsides of his arms, his chest and back, and his entire waist/hips and legs. He also has some fur on his forehead and nose, which quickly transitions into his hair, and fluff on his cheeks. His hair connects to the fur on his back, creating a thick, scruff-like mane. The fur is patterned as a red fox's typically is, with white on his belly and chest, orange on his back, shoulders, and waist, and black on his arms and legs. Both his hands and feet have sharp claws, though the ones on his feet are worn down. His ears are those of a red fox, technically set on the sides of his head but appear as being set on the top of his head, and he has the tail of a red fox, too, which reaches down to about his ankles when relaxed. Both are very fluffy. His hair is a soft auburn with bolder orange highlights, and is straight but fluffy, reaching down to about the bottom of his shoulder blades when it's dry. He typically has it down. He has a broad, animalistic nose and defined cheekbones. His teeth are more similar to fox fangs, and his tongue is barbed, like a fox's. He almost has a muzzle, with his nose slightly elongated to be almost snout-like while retaining human resemblance. His eyes are almost rectangular in shape, and have a slight positive canthal tilt. He has black/dark brown sclera, and golden irises. His pupils are vertical, and dilate under high emotion or in low light. His tapetum lucidum is bright green. He has thick brows. He typically has a nervous expression, with a frown line between his brows and slight worry lines on his forehead. His resting body temperature is around 101°F (38°C), so he feels almost feverish to the touch, though it's a dry heat, not a clammy one.
His clothing style is basically whatever he can grab. He has next-to-no sense of aesthetic or fashion. Where he's from, clothes are simply a survival tool, to protect from the elements and other harm. That being said, when he can, he prefers to grab loose-fitting clothes with low collars or hemlines. Under the care of others, he wears whatever they decide to give him. When given his own choice, he tends to pick darker neutral shades, natural fibers, and older fashion styles- tunics, poet shirts, slim jodhpurs, etc. He also likes shawls, belts, and cloaks. He also especially likes feminine clothing (e.g. skirts and dresses), and will often choose to wear those over more masculine clothing if possible. He dislikes layering, as it causes him to overheat easily, and despises hats. He cannot wear shoes. He also often wears bits of jewelry and other acessories, most often things that won't make much noise like rings, necklaces, and leather or fabric bracelets.
Personality: Half-feral is probably the best way to describe him. He's always checking over his shoulder for enemies or danger, always in a constant state of near-panic. He twitches quite a bit, and often picks at the skin on his arms or hands. Despite that, in the face of actual danger or battle, he is quite collected, if not exactly calm. He is a seasoned fighter, both with man-made weapons and hand-to-hand, and is not at all afraid to fight dirty. He would prefer not to kill anybody if he doesn't have to, as he feels he has too much blood on his hands already. But then again, at this point, what's a little more? He likes cool, shaded places like forests more than anything wide-open and hot, since he overheats and sunburns easily. He is always, always hungry, and will eat absolutely anything, even old corpses. He struggles with eating in communal spaces, though, expecting his food to be stolen at any moment, and will start fights over it. He scurries through any space he has to move through, and can often be found hunched in a corner trying to draw as little attention to himself as possible. When approached, he's very defensive, trying to get out of the conversation as quickly as possible- that, or he's going to start a fight. He never makes eye contact, and hates being stared at. His entire demeanour is devoted to not being noticed, stemming from a fear of being chosen to become a spectacle. Unfortunately, all his agressiveness upon being approached makes him into something of a spectacle.
In truth, he is desperately touch-starved, and subconciously searching for someone willing to weather the storm of his fear and guilt so that he can attach himself to them and hide behind them. Once- or if- someone is able ot break through his tough exterior, he's very clingy, and never wants to leave that persons side. He'll also be very deferential and obedient, which could work against him. He's a huge cuddler, it just takes a lot to get him to calm down and have trust.
Strengths:
Physical prowess- He is very strong, agile, and flexible. His balance is also excellent, and he will win (or be able to run from) most fights, even against a stronger opponent. He typically goes on all fours to sneak around or run faster.
Alert to his surroundings- He's always in panic mode, so he's constantly taking inventory of dangers and possible traps. Not much gets by him, as most of his senses are very keen.
Pretty- He's inept at flirting, but if given the chance, he can sometimes charm his way into places he's not supposed to be. Sure, that sometimes comes at a cost to his dignity or bodily health, but neither of those were great in the first place.
Underestimation- Due to the fact that he looks so beat up, and how he slouches/scurries and tries to hide from everything, it's common for his physicial ability to be underestimated. He can often take people by surprise with his strength and skill.
Magnetic sense- Like a fox, he can sense the earth's magnetic fields, and uses that to esimate distance in lieu of being able to see distance. Due that, he's basically a compass- just don't expect him to remember directions or landmarks. It also helps him with accuracy when hunting or fighting.
Weaknesses:
Alert to his surroundings- Because he's in panic mode, Daniel gets overwhelmed easily by stimuli such as loud noises, lots of smells, and large amounts of people. Cities and crowds are his worst enemies, but he forces through it anyway. He gets bad headaches and sometimes panic attacks because of it.
Heat sensitive- Because the fur on his body is typically enough for Daniel to withstand chillier temperatures, he overheats easily, which makes him feel sick. He also sunburns easily, due to his fair skin, and the fact that he's not accustomed to sunlight.
Anxious- He is very socially anxious. He hates talking to people, and would much rather take care of his business without interacting with a single person. Unfortunately, that's not always the case, and when interacting, he typically fumbles over his words. He also worries a lot in general, about everything.
Bodily degeneration- Not sure what else to call this as it encompasses a few things. Daniel's twitching sometimes causes him to be very clumsy, and he often drops things or accidentially hits things or people. He's very adept at slamming his hips on every doorknob and the corners of every table or counter, and has a lot of bruises from that. Also, because of how often he picks at his skin or bites himself, he's sometimes missing entire chunks of flesh. While, in general, he is physically able, his dexterity is low and he's suseptible to infection from his wounds.
Vision problems- Daniel is entirely red/green colorblind, so he sees the world only in shades of blue, yellow, and grey. He is also very nearsighted, but excellent at detecting motion at any range.
Magnetic sense- If he encounters a strong enough artificial magnetic field, it will disorient him and render him practically blind.
Special ability- Overuse of his illusion magic also gives him headaches. If the headaches get too bad, he becomes shaky on top of his twitching, and sick-feeling.
Backstory: He was bred by some kind of illicit organisation to be a spectacle for any sort of reason. His reason happened to be illegal fighting rings. Since he was young, he was forced to fight against opponents far out of his class, and became scrappy and volatile as a result. These fights were often held underground or at night, and as such, he's not used to being out, or even awake, during the day. Whatever police system there is here busted an event that Daniel was fighting in, and Daniel died during the raid. Somehow, some part of him was preserved, and he was ressurected, with his form changed. He actually loves the changes on his body from the ressurection, feeling safer in a more animalistic form. After he was ressurected, he was found after attacking innocents and sent to the academy against his will to try to control his behaviour and intregrate him into society.

Other: He has magic! Due to his kitsune heritage, he has the ability to create small-scale illusions that alter the apperance of an object or person, or change how a specific target percieves the world. For example, he can make food look mouldy, a pebble look like a diamond, or wood to look like steel. He can also change parts of a person's features such as shape of facial features, hair length/texture/color, and body type. For changing how a target perceives the world, he can plunge them into darkness, change the color of the sky, make eyes appear on everything they look at, etc. He can only do this on one target at a time, and it takes far more concentration than changing the appearance of something. If his concentration is broken, the illusion immediately disappears. If he tries to hold any kind of illusion for longer than a few minutes, he gets an awful headache. He can fight through it if he wishes, but he typically doesn't. There usually isn't a physical component to his illusions; though he can create one, it gives him a pounding headache regardless of how long he's holding the illusion for or how complicated it is. His ability is most useful for sudden distractions, tricks, and somewhat fragile disguises.
