Appearance:
Black as the darkest of nights out in the middle of the sea, Nyxara rocks an almost melanistic appearance out of the light, or when her powers are not in use. Once the light hits her scales, though, an iridecence is created. As her powers are in use, her underbelly and neck, alight with a smoky amethyst glow. Her eyes are a deep plum color, and are ridged in small, tiny spikes like eyebrows.
"Through light the shadows seek their power."
Her thick, muscle corded body stands at a towering twenty feet tall, her length (If you don't count her tail) being almost equal to her height. Her wingspan is an impressive length, though recorded records of such are unavailable to her unwillingness to have them measured. She boasts many spikes along her body, all except for her rider's spot, which is surprisingly accomedating. Her head carries a crown of spikes, and two large, sharp horns that jut out into a slight curve.
At all times, shadows swirl and dance around the dragon, whether she is actively using power or snoozing (Which she loves to do.) (As I go, I'm sure I'll add more to her, I need to draw her now.)

Can summon shadows to do any and all of her bidding. (They work as if they're physical.)
Can create a black out, essentially. Like ninja smoke but shadows.
Shoots out a void beam instead of fire. (Just as hot, if not more, and disstigrates its target on contact.)

Strengths
1. Flying. Just like riding a bike, but thousands of feet in the air.
2. Intelligence. She's extremely intelligent and can act swiftly when needed.
3. Quick.
4. Silent and deadly.
5. Talented in her power.

1. She isn't the strongest.
2. She sometimes bites off more than she can chew.
3. When she bonds, it's a deep bond and effects her emotionally if she loses her rider.

2. Arrogant to-be riders. You won't win her bond that way.
3. Being forced to try and bond with anyone.
4. Her naps being interrupted for stupidity.
