Every morning he went through the same rituals. He always found the hallways ridiculously long and twisty, but he preferred to walk them. One it was part of his ritual, and two he didn't like to waste energy warping. Generally, these walls were quiet. All he could hear, while he walked, was the swish - swish - swish of his robes, and the plop - plop - plop of his shoes.
He was getting a little surprised, because he hadn't even seen a servant yet. He was getting quite hungry, because he was walking. He decided that he would find a servant and tell it to tell the kitchens what he wished to eat for breakfast, and to get breakfast going, so it would be ready by the time he got to the dining hall. He found a servant before he got to the dining hall and told it to tell the kitchens to have fluffy croissants, chocolate chip muffins, and blueberry muffins prepared for his breakfast before he arrived at the dining hall. The servant only knew of one way to tell the kitchen before Lord Hervis got there, so it quickly warped.
The warping happened in the blink of an eye. It still startles Hervis when he observed warping or warped himself. He thought it pointless to stand around here, so he was about to continue onwards, when the decorations on a table caught his eye. The servant must have been cleaning the stuff. It was half done.
He felt a little guilty for interrupting the servant's work. He continued toward the dining hall. Hervis had gotten out of eye sight range, but he not hearing range, when he heard the servant warp back to where it had been working. Daucus considered walking good for the health, so he tried to as much as possible. It wasn't hard, when he had to often move around the castle. |
