what font are you using? - Charlie looked behind her worried, she stopped hearing the man say "This doesn't have to be as hard as it needs to be. If we help each other survive, you'll have to play war prisoner for a bit." she laughed a little at 'you'll have to play war prisoner for a bit' like hell she was going to do that, but what other choice does she have? shes lost, its cold, if she doesnt give up to him she would most likely die in this winter cold. charlie decided to keep going, not backing down. she could feel that she was close to the tribe. "HELP!" she cried out the wind blowing into her face making her cough out. nothing absolutly nothing. no one except for this man and her out here 'why did i have to come out here' charlie kept going pushing and pushing her way through the snow trying hard to get away, the man was the enemy and she had to get away just had to. - the wind blew harder, her face turning red as the winter wind hit her. charlie finally gave up and collapsed. the snow burring her. charlie curls up her breathing hard as she tried to warm herself up, no use. charlie closed her eyes in attempt to give up. her hands freezing her body shivering, cold, so cold. 'father would understand... right?' she thought as she felt her body start to relax in the snow. 'no more war, no more blood.. not for me' charlie lays in the snow still curled up. the wind slowly dying down. 'father, im sorry" she thought, thinking this was the last thing she would think.

Times new roman! If it's hurting your eyes at all let me know// - "Listen, I know what I just said is probably the stupidest thing you can hear right now." Atticus rolled his eyes at his own words. Who was he kidding? Telling someone they had to play war prisoner was probably the worst thing he could come up with right now. He watched as she struggled away, farther ahead of him. His breath heaved in his chest, burning, as though a snowstorm was whirling in his own lungs. - Atticus lost sight of the woman ahead of him awfully fast, the beauty of the snowflakes seemingly taunting him. You're a clan leader, and you can't even persuade someone on the brink of death to stay with you? What a charmer. He mocked himself before pushing forward, knowing that standing still could only slow blood flow. Giving up on her, Atticus pulled the wolf fur shawl closer to his neck and and by his chin. The cold seemed to be running through his very veins. Atticus saw a lump, only a few feet ahead, already half buried with snow. Though the wind was slowing, the cold nipped at any part of his hands it could. - A dead body? As he got closer, he squinted, recognizing the glimpses of fiery ginger through the snow covering the person. The girl from earlier. Atticus groaned out of annoyance, reaching down with an arm and scooping up her limp body. Atticus carefully put her over his shoulder, holding her close for the sake of body heat and if she was squirming. Both of his arms were preoccupied with carrying her, so he picked up the pace and tried to speed up, using his balance as a motor. As the wind slowed, the snow fall was more tame. Atticus huffed, finally seeing a pocket in the mountain foothills. Entering the cave cautiously, he set the woman down against the wall as gently as possible, before turning his head to look back outside to check on the storm.

no not at all i like it so im gonna use it if thats ok- - It was warm, warmer than before. still cold though, the feeling of being carried had charlie opening her eyes. her eye sight blurry, she thought nothing of it, thinking it might be a clan member. she closed her eyes not bothering to question. soon she felt her body being setted down on the hard cold gound. she slowly opened her eyes, cautius of what she might face. It was the man who was going after her. she quickly and swiftly got up and was about to bolt, then she remembered that she wouldnt get far in the snow, it was clearing up so it was easier to see. - "who are you and what do you want?" charlie said in a stern yet shaky voice worried what this man could do. she didnt want to find out. charlie had her arms around her body and decided to sit down against the cave wall. she looked to see if she could start a fire but nothing. nothing would start if she found anything outside it'd be too wet to start a fire. charlie shook her head not wanting to think about anything right now. not with this unknown man here with her. she knew she'd have to keep her mind clear if something were to happen. she hoped nothing would. - the wind slowed and clouds started to fade off. 'theres probably going to be another blizzard later maybe something lighter' she shrugged not noticing that shes acting out motions as she thought in her head. what is she going to do? her father has probably already started a new war to find her. hopefully she will get home soon and fast.

I don't mind at all ^^// - Atticus heard her stirring, but didn't turn over to look at her. Showing his identity too soon would probably not lead to anything good. Staring at the land splayed out before him and covered in snow, he reached his arms back to re-tie up the upper layer of his hair, which had finally thawed after the icy wind. There were no landmarks in sight, absolutely nothing, just empty and barren land, maybe the skeleton of a tree every hundred or so meters. Holding his hands to the back of his neck in attempt to get them warmer, Atticus decided to sit and think for a moment before he was questioned or attacked. - 'If we stay here, we won't get anywhere, but if we leave we could be mauled by wild animals or worse. There's no mountains nearby, if we somehow reached the edge of the valley it could take days to get back, nevermind how long it takes to go from camp to the warzone.' Considering anything sane that he could come up with, Atticus dusted the clumped up snow off of his pants before standing up from the crouch he had sunken into. - "My name is Atticus, whether you recognize my name or not isn't important right now. My clan has accused yours of killing my father, and here we are. I can't say I recognize you, though." Atticus admitted, raising his eyebrows slightly as he looked over her appearance swiftly; checking for any ranking identification that matched the small carved wolf fang dangling from his left ear. Looking away in case a lingering gaze could be considered rude, Atticus decided to sit down at the enttrance again. He had abandoned his own people, who were either terrified or enraged. Perhaps both. Atticus knew his mother would be taking over until he returned, unless his people had already assumed him dead/sitting in some bank frozen over somewhere. Mumbling under his breath, he took off the jacket over a black turtle neck-esque shirt that had desaturated cyan armoured padding around the torso. Atticus looked it over for tears, before placing it flat over a boulder to dry.

Charlie stared at the mans back he answered her and she reconized the name. she got up ran and takcled him putting him in a choke hold "you dont need to know me, but youre not my people, youre the reason why theres a war outside, my chief has never killed anyone, so rage somewhere else!" charlie let go of him and kicked him in the back "see what your people and mine have done sickens me" she growls, charlie sees that the weather has cleared up and decides to go outto look for food or something usefull. - charlie shakes her head hoping that Atticus doesnt come after her 'the enemies leader saved me, i rather be dead than caught with him, might as well be dead.' everything is turning upside down. theres nothing outside just snow, snow, and more snow. charlie looks up at where the cave is then starts running hoping to get away, the weather is clear, not as cold, but still not easy to run in. - charlie keeps running hoping to get away as fast as possible, the snow slowing her down very much. 'damn snow! i could be out of sight right now if the damn snow wasnt here' charlie looks back to see how far she's gotten, not far, not far at all. 'i have to get home, i have to get to my father' charlies auburn hair blows in her face as the wind picks up. her hazel eyes scanning the area. somewhere to take cover. no use, the only place was that cave. 'maybe i should go back' she thought, 'no i cant go back' she kept going but slowed down. the snow wasnt helping her at all.

Atticus grunted as the air was knocked out of him, watching as the person almost a foot shorter than him managed to get him in a strong chokehold. If he hurt her, it would only be worse. "Sometimes the full truth is safer hidden. Nobody knows the real story." He spoke slow, trying to keep it where he wasn't antagonizing her. This earned him a kick in the back, which didn't do much due to the padding besides shove him back a bit. Rubbibng his neck to help with the pain of it being squeezed, he watched in mild amusement as she fled the cave. - Atticus followed her movements with his eyes until she was nothing but a speck, looking back and forth while running. He grunted. 'As far as I know, she has no weapon nor sense of direction. Maybe it's just a cooldown walk, but I still think her clan at least contributed to something that happened.' Making use out of his returning energy, Atticus scrounged around until he could find enough dry twigs scattered around from other animals and general wind blowing against the stone. Setting them down in a neat pile, he gathered old leaves that almost crumbled to dust in his grasp. Grabbing his axe and a stone he prayed was flint in the other hand, Atticus struck the two together repeatedly. His hands were scarred enough, if he slipped, another wouldn't cause an apocalypse. - Minutes past, agonizingly scraping by as they went. He swore that the sky was painted with the faintest signs of dawn, but it was too dark and cold to tell. Nevermind the sky being almost as white as the ground. The fire finally caught, and the sticks crackled and hissed below his hands, shaking ever so slightly. The cave was a safe place for a fire, smoke couldn't form an almost beacon for people without a clan or even cannibals. Who knows anymore. Sighing to himself, the only thing he could find was a mouse scurrying silently a few meters away. It was.. less than appetizing compared to his fish based diet, along with cervidae like deer and caribou. A mouse wasn't far from his range of diet, and pondered for a few minutes if it was worth it. During his consideration, it had popped into the wall, now far gone. Looking back at the fire, he pulled out a wineskin hooked to his belt. - After the snow had boiled to sanitary water, Atticus chugged the full thing and redid the process, leaning it against a rock far away. Perhaps she'd give up and come back, though he didn't doubt he'd have to fight, physical or verbal. Edited at January 23, 2022 07:06 PM by Cirri

I really enjoy where this is going so far, would it be alright if we discussed a couple things super quick? - Just a couple questions, is it possible if we can world build a little bit around the kinda lore between each clan, what the land looks like, and a bit about dragons? Nothing too detailed, just to help clear some stuff up to make dynamics a bit easier! - I was thinking kind of like the two main camps are separated by the forest, and in the clearing in where the war takes place is the sort of middle ground no-man's-land, Charlie and Atticus went past Charlie's clan's camp and crossed a mountain pass, over a frozen and snowed over river, and maybe we could have them going the like complete opposite direction up a mountain and not able to tell from how much snow there is, and maybe finding dragons closer to the peak before finding a way back? It was dark, anyone could tell that. Charlie sat down, pondering on what to do. she found herself two options, options that arent very good one choice is to go back to the cave, the other was to stay outside in the cold. of course she chose the first option. charlie groaned and started walking back, charlie wasnt stupid, as she walked back she tried to keep her gaurd up. she could probably believe anything the man said but she didnt want to, she got back to the cave after her "journey". she went to the back of the cave and sat far from atticus and the fire. she watched atticus, her eyes scanned him, his posture, his hands, his hair, his face. she leaned her head against the cool stone of the cave, she knew nothing of this man only that he was the leader of the enemy clan and that he wants revenge for his fathers death. 'does he know that revenge isnt the answer? that starting a war makes everything worse? my people and his dead, probably under all this snow. war isnt everything why cant people see that?' charlie looks at atticus again watching how his hair glows in the fire's light, his sharp jawline. charlie picks up a small rock and throws it at the wall behind him just barely missing his face. she closes her eyes resting her head against the wall again trying to get some rest before everything goes downhill from here. charlies last thought before she went into a deep sleep was "will i ever get home?' {sorry its bunched up i forgot to space it out}
