Sergio pulled his hood down, he leaned forward onto the counter, as if to shield Hannah from others. He was relieved to see that the people who had catcalled her weren't feeling persistent tonight. He turned his attention fully to Hannah. He nodded in understanding. This wasn't just any bar, as it may look like that. The bar was being used as a cover. Towards the back is where the real reason people were here for. He leaned in so she could hear him over the loud environment of the building. The people seemed to cheer louder than the actual music playing in the background. That was saying something, as it was some heavy rock song. "It's called The Ring."

Turning slightly, he motioned to a dimly light part of the room. They were too far to be able to see what was going on back there, but the large tall chain link fencing of the Ring could be seen. However, the fight that was probably going on couldn't be seen. "It's illegal fighting." He said quickly, as if someone would hear him. He watched her, waiting for negative reaction from her. He has made his own assumptions that she possibly already heard this from a rumor, but tonight she would see for herself it wasn't just some rumor. She would get a glimpse into his night life. See for herself just how violent and deadly this 'sport' could be. It was strange because at this point he didn't fully bring her here just to prove to her, he wasn't all talk. He himself couldn't quite pin point the real reason why he choose to show her a side of him no one has seen.

Every time he walked into that Ring there was always a chance he wouldn't walk back out. The stakes were high. Leave with a wad of cash or take your last breath. Life or death. Literally. But that was the part he loved about it. It tested his skills he worked hard, for years to build up. He could try out new moves that would either be successful, or give him a bloody nose. Half the time he wasn't even doing it for the money, but just for the surreal rush he got every time.

Noticing that Tony had a tiny break from filling out orders he signaled for him. Tony offered a smile at the sight of his best friend. Then a confused look at the girl that was next to him. Sergio didn't wait for Tony to ask questions as he made his way over to them. He jabbed a thumb towards Hannah, "This is Hannah. Look I need to ask a favor from you." He wasted no time for introductions. It wasn't like he planned on bringing Hannah here often, this was a one time thing. Tony nodded as he sent a warm smile towards Hannah, "Nice to meet you Hannah. I'm Tony." He quickly introduced him, while Sergio rolled his eyes. He offered her his hand. This would probably the only positive interaction Hannah would have here from anyone.

Hannah kept running her eyes over the room, trying to take in as much detail as possible. The place seemed like something Sergio would definitely be into, lots of people, it’s loud, a little obnoxious, people who wouldn’t hesitate to fuck you up if you accidentally said the wrong thing to them. It slightly scared her, but at the same time, it intrigued her. This sort of place hadn’t been her scene but it wasn’t not her scene. She may have been really shocked at it at first, but once it all settles down, it’s not all that bad really.

The place itself doesn’t actually look anything like what it actually is inside. When you’re on the street, it looks very innocent, an easily place to look at and not think twice about. The building was discreet, easy to hide and it certainly seemed to work. With the amount of people here and the fact that it was still up and running proved her whole point. They hadn’t been found out by the police yet, and as long as they kept doing whatever is was that they were currently doing, they likely wouldn’t get caught for a long while yet.

Hannah nodded, bringing her attention back to him. When he had told her that he was going to show her what he was really like, this wasn’t what she had first thought of. This was something that would have taken years to make and build and let grow on its own, she doubted it was something that one could just stumble upon and now they’re a part of it. The people didn’t seem as close as her racing community, but then again, Hannah could have been totally wrong about that, chances are, she likely was just reading the room wrong.

Hannah turned to the man, Tony, smiling slightly. A friendly encounter was rather refreshing after everything that had happened as they arrived here. “It’s nice to meet you too, Tony” she told him, giving a weird look to Sergio. What sort of favour was he needing? Did it have anything to do with her? It kind of sounded serious, which either meant that it did have something to do with her being here, or he was in something he shouldn’t be. Neither of which would surprise her at this point. Hannah watched him carefully, taking note on the little details.

Sergio walked around the counter lifting the bar flip up entrance, he signaled for Tony to follow him. He quickly leaned over to Hannah, "Stay here. I'll be back in a minute." With that he headed to a secluded looking area, out of view of any possible prying eyes. Turning towards Tony he was seconds from telling him what he needed him to do, but Tony interrupted. "She's cute but I don't think letting her see you beat someone to a bloody pulp will impress her." He snorted slightly, a knowing smile on his face. Sergio rolled his eyes. "I'm not trying to impress her dumb ass. She's just a friend. Look can you just look out for her while I'm in the Ring. Make sure no one trys anything." He paused for a moment, taking the pistol out of his waistband and handing it over to Tony. "Here's this in case anything gets out of hand. Once it's over I'll meet you guys back at the bar." He explained to his friend.

Tony took the gun tucking it away in his own waistband. The man was also just as familiar with guns as Sergio was. He nodded in understanding. He nudged Sergio's shoulder, "Oh come on, you don't have female friends. I mean you slept with Zoey. You really think I'm going to believe that you haven't already slept with that chick?" He snorted. It was clearly odd and out of character for Sergio. He knew the male didn't bring anyone here, he watched every single one of Sergio's fights. Every time he came in he was alone. He was curious as to why he did it now all of a sudden. What was so special about this Hannah girl? At least to Tony she was too pretty and probably easily revolted by what she was about to witness. This sport wasn't for the faint of heart. Tony couldn't decide if Sergio was trying to scare her, or something else. The male had to have a lot of trust in the girl to bring her here and expect she wouldn't rat out to the cops. So many aspects that didn't make any sense, Tony wasn't alone in that, but Sergio wouldn't reveal that to him.

Sergio rolled his eyes again, "That was in the past, Zoey and I aren't like that anymore and you know that. Now cut it out you asshole. She is just a friend and thats it." He said, as the annoyance was beginning to build. Tony quickly put his hands into the air as if surrendering. Tony was beginning to find this whole ordeal very interesting. He was only messing with his friend and yet the male was getting so easily annoyed at him. Usually Sergio and Tony could go back and fourth without anyone getting pissed off, but this subject was apparently off limits for Sergio. He'd have to pester him later on the matter. The two males quickly walked back to the bar. Tony jumped back into work, while Sergio leaned against the counter next to Hannah.

Now that everything was set up, he felt better about the situation. More relaxed even. He leaned over to Hannah, "I hope you don't scare easily." He teased, a smirked playing on his features. The first sign of his playful side since they got here. Now all he had to do was wait for his turn. Frankly, Tony did get into his head. He was the first person to question him and Hannah's relationship. Before, he thought nothing of it. Yeah, they had their fair share of steamy moments, but it didn't mean anything. He couldn't really pin point what to label them as. Friends maybe? But do friends really kiss each other and feel up one another? Probably not.

His mind was coming up with possible titles for whatever they were. He almost recoiled at the thought of possibly dating. That was out of the question, he couldn't even believe his mind even went there. He liked being around Hannah, but not enough for anything like that. He highly doubted she was even interested in him like that either. He wouldn't break his own rule, for a girl he barely knew anything about, anyways. She was so private about her life. There was no way of knowing what her story was, unlike Sergio's which was already broadcasted all over social media on the daily. Except the few things he kept pretty well hidden. He finally decided on 'crime partners.' And they'd never be anything more, nothing less.

Hannah frowned slightly but nodded as he got up and left. She didn’t know what was going on, but it was clear to her whatever it was, it was likely none of her business and she should just stay out of it. Casting a nervous glance around the room, she bit the side of her cheek as she noticed a few stares back. After that little incident when they first arrived, nobody had said or done anything, that she’d noticed anyway. But Hannah knew that was entirely because of Sergio being with her, people probably thought that they were together.

Turning back around, she bounced her leg nervously, trying to ignore the pointed stares and whispers she could hear. Hannah had gotten enough of those at school, she didn’t want them here. But she doubted that she’d be back here again, or if she wanted to come back here again. Hannah didn’t know why he had brought her here exactly. She’d heard about his fights, with a friend who was interesting in that sort of thing, but she doubted he’d bring here to show her one of these fights. But if he had, what did that mean for them?

Hannah smiled as she saw them returning, grateful the awkward tension around her would be over. She knew why people were suspicious of her, it was likely because she was new, nobody here knew her, that she knew of, and they didn’t know if they could trust her or the fact that she had showed up with none other than Sergio. Relaxing a little, she felt her nerves immediately fade as the eyes on her moved away the moment they had returned from wherever they had gone. Frankly, at this point, Hannah wasn’t entirely sure if she wanted to know anymore.

Looking at him with an odd look on her face, she felt a familiar smirk appearing on her features. Cocking an eyebrow at him, she looked him over before meeting his eyes once more. “Oh please, don’t tell me you mean scared of you, I thought we were pats that, lover boy” she told him, putting emphasis on her last two words, keeping her gaze cool. Hannah didn’t know if pushing him in this sort of environment was a good idea, but she really couldn’t help it around him. Besides, he was crazy hot when he got pissed off at her.

Sergio shrugged his shoulders, a dangerous glint appearing in his eyes. "Well see about that." His gaze flickered to the cage like arena. Soon enough he'd be in there. He looked back to her, meeting her eyes. "After this, I don't think you'll associate me with love anymore." A dark undertone to his words. He wouldn't admit it, but he believed Hannah wouldn't want to associate with him after this, period. Any variation of love and him didn't belong together. He truly believed he didn't have a good bone in his body. What kind of sick person found joy in severely hurting others for a high title and money? That was Sergio.

It wasn't like he wanted to see fear in her eyes, aimed at him. It was more so he wanted to prove her wrong, that she was just like everyone else. She would soon see in real time, what exactly landed him in prison for a few months. In a way he was no different from these people. He only got lucky that the judge let him off fairly easy. He'd never understand why though. What he did was a vicious unprovoked attack. Sort of. He poked her collarbone, his eyes narrowed. "When I said don't start shit, that includes me you fucking dolce emicrania (Sweet headache)." The Italian words flowed smoothly out of his mouth. That even surprised Sergio, except he didn't show it. Damn, Hannah could even bring out the Italian in him. He never really spoke his native language in front of anyone outside of his family. Most probably wouldn't have even known Sergio spoke anything other than English. First glance at him, it wasn't easy pin pointing his ethnicity. Yet, another secret Hannah would uncover about him. He needed better security.

He rolled his eyes, turning away from her and facing the large crowd. Their backs were to them. The majority were cheering and raising their fists into the air. Some even chucking their beer bottles at the cage. If anyone could get Sergio riled up in a matter of minutes it was Hannah. Even if she did managed to get him pissed off in the moment, he would just take it out on his victim in the Ring. He turned fully this time, leaning his elbows back onto the counter. Waiting for Hannah to say a snarky comment, that was bound to piss him off further.

Hannah strongly doubted that whatever she was going to see, it would scare her off or make her think badly of him, well, more than she already does. They both had their secrets, they knew that, this was one of his and she needed to respect that. Although it goes without saying, she was rather grateful he was even trusting her enough to bring her here, for what reason that was, it didn’t matter, he still trusted her with this. Hannah was weirdly happy at that thought, but quickly hid it from her face, not wanting him to know it.

Hannah laughed quietly, taking note of his comments. It made her think that maybe she wasn’t the first one who he’d brought here, maybe he’d brought other girls here, maybe to impress them, and it didn’t turn out the way he wanted it to. Maybe that was the beginning of his reputation, and likely his criminal record as well. She didn’t doubt that either all of, or most of, the people here had a criminal record, despite if they came across as nice people or the kind of people you knew would have one. That was the beauty of it.

Hannah watched him, adjusting the way she was sitting slightly, before re-folding the jacket she’d placed on her lap. “You underestimate how much I truly enough insulting you, trust me, whatever it is, you’re not getting rid of me that easily” she told him, her amusement clear in her voice. Looking around once more, she noticed how nobody would meet her eyes anymore, as they had since Sergio and Tony had come back to where she was. It was almost laughable really, how terrified, or intimidated, of him they were. He was just a big teddy bear, nothing rather scary.

Hannah’s jaw dropped the tiniest bit at him, shocked at the sudden reveal of the foreign language. She hadn’t known that he could speak another language, it was something she would have never guessed, but here she was. She had taken a few classes in the previous semester, but had given up afterwards, not really enjoying it. Vaguely understanding him, she let her eyebrow raise at him, laughing to herself before she got up. Standing close to him, she pushed him further back against the counter, not really caring what anybody thought. “Say that one more time, I dare you”

Sergio's eyes glittered in excitement as he saw a glimpse of someone being slammed up against the the fencing. He could hear a few insults being thrown from the crowd towards the fighter they were against. For whatever reason he could feel a mix of excitement and nervousness building. Almost clashing together inside of him. What he was so nervous about was beyond him. He needed to get a grip before he stepped a foot in the Ring. The last thing he needed was to be distracted by his own thoughts. One slip up and it all goes down hill from there.

Although it was loud, Sergio was close enough to hear her laugh. A part of him was glad she seemed to be relaxing even with the environment he brought her in. It was understandable when one couldn't feel relaxed here, so he wouldn't blame her if she remained uncomfortable the entire time. However, he ignored it. Still staring off towards the crowd. Observing their reactions. He couldn't wait until it was his turn to demonstrate his skills. The skills it took years to perfect. When he was younger he knew exactly what he wanted to do in life. Clearly life had a different route for him. An illegal one.

Sergio lazily titled his head towards her, listening to what she had to say. A bored look playing on his features, "Whatever you say, Hannah." He glanced back to the crowd once more. He frowned when Hannah blocked his view, from his slouched position. He watched her for a moment, before he glanced away, but slowly returned his gaze back to her. Almost in an embarrassed manner. His heart practically skipped a beat at her words. Had she understood him? It wasn't that he was afraid she knew he was basically giving her a backhanded insult, but the fact that he slipped up. It had taken him years to erase his accent. Finally managing to hide the fact that he wasn't from here. Now he had to go and ruin that.

He gazed up at her with a blank look. He really couldn't tell if she understood him or not. He debated for a second. It wasn't like it matter now, he said what he said. Now she knows. "You're. A. Fucking. Emicrania. (Headache)" With each word he leaned forward, as much as she would let him, with her hands on him. He skipped past the 'sweet' part this time. Maybe she wouldn't notice. He didn't even know why he said that, it just came out. Just like how there was no love in him, it didn't seem like there was sweetness in her. Maybe he'd find it. He doubted it.

Hannah had heard some sort of commotion going on in the background, but soon realized she likely didn’t really want to know, or care enough. Refusing to let herself get distracted by whatever was going on, she thought for a moment. He seemed rather riled up, whether that was from her or something else, she didn’t really care. It was too amusing to ignore it. Smiling innocently, she pouted at him. Quickly dropping the smile into a glare, she let go of him, stepped away from him before glancing around the room. Quickly spotting the person she was looking for.

Turning back to him, she chuckled, knowing this was going to get her, or him, into something rather fired up. Hannah didn’t really know why she kept doing things to purposely piss him off, she didn’t even know why she cared, but she did. It was a habit, constantly trying to do things to annoy him, get on his nerves. Why he hadn’t gone back to ignoring her and vice versa, was completely beyond her, but it didn’t matter. At least now she had been given the opportunity to piss him off even more, well, at least she hoped so.

“You have no fucking idea” she spat at him, a dangerous twinkle in her eye. Placing her jacket and phone on the seat she had previously been sitting, Hannah smirked slightly. Spinning on her heel, she turned and walked away from him. Approaching the man who had catcalled her, she fought the look of disgust that rose and smiled at him. Watching his confusion turn into one of glee, she stepped close to him. An immediate feeling of nausea flowing through her as she watched his eyes wander. Feeling him place a hand on her lower back, she smiled sweetly.

Sergio rolled his eyes at her antics. Why she couldn't just sit still, while they waited for his turn in the Ring, didn't surprise him. He kinda wished she would have just stayed uncomfortable. This whole thing would go a lot more quicker and smoother if she just cooperated with him. Instead, here she was pushing his buttons. He'd simply try to ignore her comments from now on. Something he should have started with.

At first he was doing a good job at ignoring her existent, until he realized she was walking away from him. Already breaking one of the rules he had told her not to do. Did she have a death wish? He quickly straightened up, cursing under his breath, as he watched Hannah. He swiftly stood up to his full height and shoved past people, trying to get to Hannah before something happened. Reaching them he didn't waste a second, shoving Hannah away from the man's grasp. He gripped the man's shirt collar with one hand, yanking him up and slamming his head against the bar top counter. As if the this full grown man weighted nothing. His jaw ticked at how hard he was clenching his jaw.

The force of it all was strong enough to make a few glasses shake. People that were near by quickly gathered their drinks and got out of the danger zone, but stood near by to watch this all unfold. Sergio leaned down a crazed look in his eyes, as he stared down at the man in disgust. "Are you fucking blind? She's with me. Keep your dirty hands off her, unless you want me to break all your fingers, old man." His voice held pure venom. The man struggled against Sergio's hold. "Hey man she came onto me." The man said clearly shaken up. Not so brave after all.

Hannah grinned as she watched Sergio completely overreact at the little situation she had created for herself. She wasn’t entirely sure he’d have even reacted to it, but this was much better than him doing nothing. Sighing, she realized she’d likely have to stop this before it went too far. Grabbing the side of his arm, she pulled Sergio off the man. Slightly amused at him, she fought the smile, instead, smirking at him before shaking her head. Hannah wasn’t too sure on how she should deal with this situation, especially since this hadn’t been what she expected to happen.

“Awh. Is Lover Boy protective all of a sudden?” she mocked, knowing the nickname pissed him off. Looking around she noticed how people had immediately backed away from the situation, giving her weird looks. Apparently, people saying doing this sort of thing to him wasn’t something that happened very often. Hannah knew he’d never hurt her, hopefully, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t a little bit scared of him. She’d never admit it to anyone, she’d rather die before she admitted it to him either, but it wasn’t much of a surprise to anyone that she’d be a little scared.
