After Sky had come off the call he looked over at Silas's cat. "You can let your cat out." He said warmly as he was still smiling from the call. He then looked at the cat as the boy let the cat out. He smiled even more at the sight of a cat. His face frowned a bit as he thought about how lonely his mom was gonna be. He knew they both would manage but all they had really was each other. It was just them and Felix. With his dad passed away and his sister having moved all he had was his mom. He had a few close friends but he hasn't been talking to them lately. He has been focusing on himself.

His father's passing affected him somehow. Sky was very forgiving. His dad was abusive, both physically and mentally but he still loved him.

"Your cat is adorable, I love cats so much." He said being friendly to his new roommate. They had to live together so he would hope they would talk or else he would just think that awkward. He looked back up at Silas smiling slightly still. He watched the cat come out of its carrier, he absolutely adored cats. He was now missing his cat at home, Felix. He was an orange tabby cat with zero brain cells but Skylar loved him dearly. "I have a cat of my own at home, He's an orange cat so like he's dumb but I love him so much. His names Felix." Sky didn't want to talk too much as he didn't want to be overbearing. He had just met him anyways.

He checked his phone quickly and it was getting close to 2 pm. He turned back around and finished unpacking taking him about 10 more minutes. "Where are the showers in here?" he asked he had a judgy look on his face. He thought about how if they are showers they had to share which would probably be the case, it's a bit gross. But Sky could deal. Hes showered in changerooms before afters practices. Its not too bad, its just not ideal.

Sky finished up his phone call and before he could get a chance to ask about his cat, the other boy told him that he could let his cat out. He gave his typical smile and stood up to close the dorm door. He didn't think his cat would leave the room but just in case.

"Thank you, I'm afraid somebody doesn't understand the meaning of patience," He spoke, double checking to make sure the door was shut all the way before unzipping the cat carrier. A rather large fluffy white cat emerged from the carrier, giving a giant stretch.

"Your cat is adorable, I love cats so much."

Silas smiled and listened as Sky talked about his own cat at home. He was glad the campus paired him with a cat lover and owner. It made the discussion about bringing an emotional support animal so much easier. Silas had it approved by housing of course and the cat was given free range of the residential hall and the area outside the building as long as Silas was with him and he was either in a cage or on a leash.

"His name is Casper," He spoke fondly of his cat, watching as the cat sniffed around the dorm and snooped into Sky's gear,"He's harmless but a bit too curious for his own good."

He let Casper sniff for a little while longer before approaching the cat and scooping him into his arms, hugging the cat close to his body. He heard his roommate's question about showers and paused, thinking for a moment.

"You know, I'm not too entirely sure. Since there's not a door to lead to one in here, then I'm afraid the whole hall must share one somewhere. Same with the bathrooms," He let his face contort into a disgusted expression for a moment. He sat the cat down to grab a harness and a leash.

"Do you want to look around for them together?" He asked, moving to put the harness on his cat,"Casper needs to run off some energy and I'm rather curious myself about those."

"Yeah I'll go with you, I'm just about finished unpacking anyways." He said, it was something to do so he was like why not. It gives them a great start in meeting. He watched subtly as the boy put on the cat's harness. He also just looked around the room as he waited.

"Ready to go." He asked and once he got confirmation he walked towards the door. He opened it, holding it open for Silas and his cat. He smiled as they walked out then walked out himself before closing the door. "Left or right?" he asked looking both ways and then at Silas. Once Silas picked they walked down the hall. Sky looked around, it was mainly a bunch of dorm rooms but there was an opening near the end of the hall.

They got to the end of the hall only to see what looked to be a living room area and stairs leading to the other floors. There was a tv with two decent-sized couches. There was also a bookshelf with plenty of books. Sky looked the bookcase up and down seeing if there was any books he would like. He quickly scanned it before deciding he would just come back to it later. "Well, the showers are definitely not here." He said as he turned and walked slowly back the way they came. He looked back at Silas to make sure he was coming before walking at his normal pace.

He was oblivious to any changes in Sky's facial expression when he hugged Sky. He was aware of Sky watching him as he harnessed Casper but didn't really care.He could feel the gaze on him but when he looked up, the man was looking around the room.

Once Casper was ready and he was ready, his roommate immediately asked if they were ready to go. That confirmed that Sky was watching him, not that he minded. He gave a nod and grinned a little once the long haired boy held the door for him.

"Why thank you, kind sir," He couldn't help but joke, giving a playful bow toward the gesture. His voice held a teasing note to it.

"Left or right?"

He waited for Sky to walk out before picking the way they were going to head. He chose left because lefts were always special.

There was mostly dorm room after dorm room on their adventure. On occasion, Silas had to pause to let Casper sniff some dorm room stuff left out in the hallways. As they continued down the hallway, there was opening near the end.

"Is that a potential bathroom or did I pick the wrong direction?" He asked, spotting it and giving a small gesture toward it.

Sky looked around as they kept walking down the hall. They seriously didn't know where the bathrooms were. "yeah I have no clue where we are going." He said as he let out a small smirk. He looked down at the fluffy cat walking beside Silas. He thought it was so cute.

They were cute, both the cat and Silas. Sky didn't even know if the guy liked guys, he barely even knew that. I guess once they are both in their dorm they could talk more if Silas wanted.

They made their way down to the other side of the hall. Luckily they found what they were looking for. It was the bathrooms. There were two bathrooms, one for men and the other for women. There were a couple of stalls and then a couple of showers with just curtains to cover. Sky didn't necessarily like it but he didn't mind it. He just hoped they had a lot of hot water.

Once they finished checking out the bathroom they made their way back to their dorm. "So, what are your plans for the rest of the day?" Sky asked trying to start a conversation.

"Let's try the other hallway," Silas suggested, turning around to head the other way. Casper let out a noise of protest, the cat was smelling a pair of somebody's baseball cleats. He wasn't too fond of that choice to sniff. Who knows where those cleats had been?

He folllowed Sky to the other hallway, this time letting the boy take the lead. It was the first day and already he had proved his instincts weren't the strongest. They, however, found the bathroom just fine.

Silas peered into the men's, shortening the length on Casper's harness and leash. He didn't want his cat to go into the bathrooms. Shared bathrooms were filthy, especially the men's. It was like men didn't know how to keep anything clean or aim properly.

He took in the sight of the showers and the stalls. He added shower shoes to his list of items to buy. He also made a mental note to only shower at odd times when he knew others would not. He wasn't too comfortable with the shower setup and the lack of privacy.

On the walk back to their dorm, Sky asked if he had any plans. He wanted to go to the store soon to get the items he was lacking. He was also thinking of buying some decorations for his side.

"I was thinking of going to the store in a bit," He told his roommate as they reached the door. This time Silas held the door open for Sky.

"Would you like to come with me?" He asked and then added,"I'm not too terrible of a driver and my car has almost a full tank."

(Also would you please let me know when you will either be leaving for the night or wont be active for a bit, I just like knowing because Im eager with rps and I tend to wait alot for them and get let down when the person goes offline without saying anything)

Sky shot Silas a smile while he opened the door for him. He walked in and then went to go sit on his bed. The boy told him his plans and then asked if he would like to join him. Sky not having anything to do agreed.

He smiled as the boy finished talking. He glanced at him getting his cat out of the harness as he pulled out his phone. He got a text from his best friend, Bill. He lived close to here and was going to visit him sometime today. Bill was very handsome, he had an eyebrow piercing and his tongue also done, he had all kinds of funky hairstyles but right now it was black. Sky didn't know how it was styled. Sky and Bill used to have a thing but it's better if they just stayed best friends. They liked it better that way. He texted bill back before scrolling on TikTok.

After a couple minutes went by the boys left to go to the store. Sky got into the passenger seat and buckled his seat belt then moved the front piece behind him. He didn't like the front piece on his chest, he knows it more safe but it's just always been how he has his seat belt. "Oh just so you are aware, my best friend is probably coming to see me at some point today. I don't know when but just a head up." He looked over at Silas and then back out the car window as they started driving.

Silas freed Casper of his harness and grabbed the last bag he had left to unpack. The bag had two pop up bowls, a rather small litter box, a bed, a placemat and a few toys. He had cat litter as well, the container sitting in the corner of the room.

He set up the area, choosing the corner that the cat liter was sitting by as the spot for his cat. He set everything up, even the litter box. Casper was actually trained to use the bathroom outside but the litter box was just a "just in case". He filled up the water bowl and once everything was set up, he let Casper explore his new place for a few minutes before turning to Sky.

"Alright, I'm ready to go now." He grabbed his keys and his wallet, double-checking that both his driver's license and student ID were still safely inside. Then the two boys made their way to Silas' car.

Silas drove a manual SUV, a dark blue shade. It was a rather older model, he had gotten it cheap from a 21 year old that was tired of the same old same old. The SUV still had a CD player, indicating its age just a tad bit. However, the inside was clean and looked almost brand new. Silas took great care of his car's exterior and interior. If it wasn't for the CD player, somebody with zero knowledge on cars would know that it was an older SUV.

"Oh just so you are aware, my best friend is probably coming to see me at some point today. I don't know when but just a head up."

Silas started the car, a loud Unable to Connect to Silas' IPhone came from the car's speaker, almost drowning out Sky's words. Silas still caught it and gave a nod.

"That's perfectly fine. Thanks for the heads up though," He took a moment to connect his phone to the bluetooth. Although he had CDs he could listen to, he highly doubted Sky and him had the same music taste. Once his phone was connected, he went to Spotify and gave his phone to his passenger.

"Please pick something for us to listen to," He explained as he backed out and began driving.

The closest Walmart was 30 minutes away, in a smaller college town so they had plenty of time to get to know each other's music tastes. He highly doubted Sky was a big fan of emo rock bands like Citizen Soldier or Bad Omens. Besides, he didn't mind listening to somebody else's music for a change.

"Okay you're the one that's suffering then, I don't even listen to English music." He said chuckling a bit. He searched for his favourite band, they were German. Sky knew how to somewhat speak german from them but also got an app to help. He was interested in learning German because he wants to one day be able to fluently sing their songs in German.

Their songs weren't terribly emo, but some people would think that. Sky didn't even think that their music sounded emo, maybe some songs. Their music style has changed over the years to a more hip-hop/pop style but Skylar still decided to put on their old songs. He got his favourite song playing. Its called Reden by Tokio Hotel. "I'm not perfect at German, well not yet but I know some words." He admitted knowing he was going to end up singing some parts. He turned the volume up and bit but still was mindful.

He bopped his head a bit as he listened to the music. He looked out the window for the majority of the ride. He let the playlist be on shuffle but every once in a while skipped. He ended up playing some of their English songs so Silas didn't have to suffer.

Music was a big part of Sky's life. He loved it, more then he loves cats. Music has helped Skylar through everything, he always listens to music. If he wasn't so passionate about sports he would totally make music. He like the piano but also the electric guitar. He has some experience with both but not enough to make him really good. He really wouldn't be here if it wasn't for music amongst the very few other things keeping him going. He looks like a very happy guy but there's just some things you don't know.

They arrived at walmart in roughly 30 minutes. "Omg walmat." He said as he waited for Silas to park before getting out. He got out and then walked with him into the store. He liked how they were already bonding.

"Okay, I don't think I need anything so Ima just follow you." He said as walked beside Silas. He looked around at all the people, kind of dying on the inside. He hated people, well he says he hates people. He overexaggerates that. He really doesn't care most of the time, if you are nice to him, he's nice to you.

"I think I'll manage to survive," Silas chuckled a little,"I can handle whatever you're going to throw at me."

It turned out that Sky's favorite music was some sort of alternative german band. For awhile, Silas had hyper fixated on learning german in high school and could pick up a few words here and there. He knew how to write more German than to speak it though. Words always did come easier to him on paper.

He just listened, chuckling a little when Sky began singing. He felt his fears about his roommate began to vanish by the minute. Sky was turning out to be a real great person. Besides his chuckling, the only time he would make a noise is when he accidentally shifted into the wrong gear or when a car would try to cut him off and keep him from merging onto the interstate. Even then, the noise was more like a sharp inhale or a "sorry".

Despite a few problems here and there, the two roommates arrived to walmart all safe and sound.

"Omg Walmart."

He grinned a little at Sky's comment. Walmart was about the only place to shop around these college towns besides Dollar Tree. Of course there were things like Target and Five Below in the city but the city was a 2 hour drive away. Definitely not worth the drive for a few things.

He heard Sky say something about not needing anything and gave a nod, leading his roommate around the store in persuit of his own things. He was after a few snacks, some shower shoes, some meat for Casper, and pillows. He made sure to avoid the isles with heavy amount of people in them.

"So where are you from?" He asked as he found pillows and began investigating for a good quality one that wouldn't break his wallet.
