Chione walked along the patrol path behind the rest of her loud group. They used to just send 2 or 3 on patrol but since the war between the packs started they've been sending 8 or 10. She hated it. She wanted to know that when she went to sleep there wasn't a chance she'd be assassinated or something like that, she didn't want to wonder if each meal she took from the pack's stash was poisoned or not, She didn't want to have to be suspicious of each of her packmates cause one of them could be a spy for the enemy. Her ears swiveled at each rustle of leaves, each snap of a twig, and even the bird chirping in the trees. Everyone and everything had turned into an enemy all of a sudden.

Chione didn't understand why they had suddenly gone to war, she rather liked their neighboring pack before this happened. *Meanwhile, these idiots are laughing and joking* Chione thought to herself. *Wait a minute, there were supposed to be 10 wolves on patrol this morning weren't there? Why were there 9?* She thought, getting distracted trying to figure out who wasn't there and missing the twig snapping behind her.

Shark sat down watching the pack before sighing he know they were at war and he wasn't going to let them win at all since he had a pack and wanted It to look strong and able to be holded, shark shakes and got up before trotting into his den didn't have to worry about anything really he might stop the attack but everyone was ready and wanting to go and attack but what about him was he ready to make the biggest mistake ever if we have lived a harmony side by side now they when against each other that just great how would they feel ready for the attack or not shark sighed and through * I can't believe we are doing this should I run away from it or stay * then shakes his head and paces before * I can't leave my pack mo way that is not right for a alpha to leave and not help*

Chione sighed, it was Kodiak. Kodiak was one of those wolves you could count on in a fight no matter what...if he showed up. He was almost always late. He was fast so he could make up for it but he usually relied too heavily on that. He showed up awhile later and got a scolding from Chione, but then joined in with the conversation up ahead.

She sped up to a trot for a few paces to keep up then went back to a walk. She was smaller than most which put her at a disadvantage in ways such as hunting for larger prey, but she was just as strong as the average wolf, (which she would argue made her stronger than average) so her size gave her a slight advantage in fights, being able to use her enemies size against them most of the time

Shark smiles as he beta cal joined him and said " hey man we got hunting pack out and guard wolf watches over our area " shark said " good that is great actually but make sure no of them leave the post for food or water we will have wolves that would bring the water and food to them" beta nods and said " I'll make sure they don't leave the place sir and get a group to feed and water them sir " shark said " okay have a rest if you like beta you need it sometime " beta nods and said " thank you sir" shark smiles and watches him go away everything was doing great his pack was running good and he was thinking the war would be over soon. Shark took off out of the cage and towards the end of the area to go hunting himself he did so much injoy hunting

Chione's patrol group got back as the next headed out. Her group dispersed to go see their families, get some food, take a nap, etc. And Chione walked over to the alpha's den. Their major den site was a rock formation that looked like a crescent moon, hence why they were called 'The Crescent Pack'.

Bear smiled when she walked in "Chione, just the wolf I wanted to see."

Chione bowed her head in respect and then smiled back. "Aren't I always?" she joked

Bear laughed "Why yes I suppose so" he joked back, but after a minute he got a serious face on. "Listen, I need to ask a favor of you, but you need to actually listen," He said

"What is it?" She asked cautiously but curiously.

"I need you to lead Cliff's troop for a while. He was injured in the last attack and will need at least a few weeks to recover." He said

.

Chione stiffened. He knew why she didn't want to be in any fights anymore, and usually, he respected that. "I-... Fine. But ONLY until he's healed, and then I'm off again." She said, leaving no room for argument.

"Thank you, Chione. It will matter a lot to his troop." he said

"Of course sir, anything else?" she asked

"No, you may go if you like," He said kindly

"Thank you sir" She said as she bowed her head again.

Shark sighed and watches around him before he head back to his pack trotting and thinking about a lot of thinks about want was happening and will happen when he made camp he saw his beta and the beta wife beside him as they waited for the alpha reture to the forest pack, Shark sighed and said " what can i do for you two" beta said " well the pack we send out spied on the pack we are attacking and they say a girl is really looking good" Shark said " why do i care" beta said " i know you don't i just said " shark sighed then said " I need to see this female myself " beta nods and walks away with his wife before shark walks back to his den and lays down
