Perhaps how her fur shines in the sun? Or her golden intelligent eyes? When you take a look, her fur isn't that red. It's more orange. (Oh cool!) Tokala slept in a cozy den with her Mother and Father. She even slept with Tari and Lari, without fighting for space! When the sun rose, Tokala grinned, wagged her tail, and nipped Tari, her twin brother, on the ears. She nipped his ears again, pressed her paw on his back, and lolled her tongue. Tari panted, and threw Tokala to her back. "Tari, you're too strong!" She yipped. Tari grinned, distracted by the complement. Brothers are so weird. He didn't know she tricked him. Tokala grinned, tossed him off of her, and flung him away. "Tari, do you ever use your brain?" Tokala taunted. Lari rolled her eyes. Tokala and Tari just growled in response. Tokala sniffed, and lifted her head, high and proud. Outsmarting and fighting others was a good skill to learn. Lari would never understand! Tokala flopped around, then proceeded to chase Tari into the forest she called home. Edited at August 31, 2025 11:43 PM by Phantom Fangs

Tokala charged at her brother, but overshot, which made her start skidding into a river. She gasped, swimming desperately upstream. "Wait here! I'll get Mother and Father!" Tari called. Tokala's head plunged in the deep, cold river, as it drifted into stranger territory. Not ours. She just hoped she would survive.

Tokala saw the fox who saved her. His father was fierce, but he was kind. Still, she needed to find a way home. Tokala shook her fur and huffed. "Don't ask what happened. And before you attack me, I'll let you know I never wanted to be here in the first place." Tokala growled, doing her best to act like she knew what she was doing.

Tokala watched the fox leave. She didn't quite catch the father-son conversation. Dang, she sucked at paying attention to conversations. She padded to the river, lapped some water up, and silently climbed up into the treetops. Usually foxes don't do that, but Tokala was different. She jumped from tree to tree, looking for her home. It was no use. She finally made it to the tallest tree, and sighed. She saw a mouse burrow, hidden in brambles. She hoped the other foxes wouldn't mind if she snacked on the mouse. She pushed through the brambles, but failed to catch the mouse. She tugged herself ou of the brambles, but then surprised the mouse by collapsing it's burrow. The mouse was succesfully suffocated. She grabbed the mouse, put it in a hole in the big tree, and climbed into the hole herself. She slowly fell asleep. Tokala would find a way home tomorrow, and just hoped her family was okay.
