He tapped his nose to the deer's in a gesture of thanks for the hunt, then turned to follow Night and Wander in congratulating Kira. "Good job." He said a bit awkwardly. He wasn't really sure how to talk to younger wolves. His paws itched to keep hunting, and he was very exhilarated from the success. "Nice kill, Night! Very fast too. Are you okay though? You have some... bruises." It was true, it looked painful.

Kira looked at sparrowhawk then nightingale she'd then go to wander leaving them alone she'd look at wander and sat down next to wander just looking at nightingale and sparrowhawk and then looked at the sky as she liked looking at it

I gallop through the field with a purpose. I can smell a rabbit. I freeze. I can smell something new. What is it? I walk up slowly. I can see it. It is coming close to the forest. It is coming. I thought it was just a dream. I must warn my pack. No, they will be afraid. I am afraid. It is coming.

I bound out from where I was dozing, in the cover of a tree. Did I hear something? Is something coming? I walk with renewed purpose towards the sounds, my heartrate picking up. Maybe something exciting, but... if my pack was in danger, I was honour-bound to protect it.

Kira would sit somewhere bored not sure what to do she'd think of she should go be helpful and help someone but she didn't want to be a bother so she stayed sat down not sure what to do as she didn't wanna be a bother to anyone

My unease growing, I trotted towards the odd sounds and smells. What was it? We hadn't been disturbed by the humans for a while, so... surely not. Surely.

Scanning ahead, I see Nightingale, frozen, looking at something I still couldn't see. My heart dropped. This couldn't be. My footsteps slowed, as if I wanted to delay the inevitable, and to prove that this was some nightmare, and not real life. Anything but what I faced now seemed to be a better option.

Reaching the alpha, I asked her tentatively, "Nightingale... what is it?" I scanned the horizon again, looking in the direction she was looking at. I didn't want to, but I was honour-bound to protect the pack and the lands.

And then I saw it.

Leaf padded out of her den, the heat of summer already weighing heavily on her. She scanned the clearing for any sign of Pendugo. Disappointment settled in her chest as she realized he was nowhere to be found. A sense of unease crept into her thoughts. Pendugo was a fighter, and was always ready to defend the camp. So where could he be? Leaf's mind raced with worry and questions, her concern growing with each passing moment of his absence. Despite her own reservations about the scorching summer days, her heart longed for the presence of Pendugo by her side.
