Gwyneira | 450 | Spymaster (Day Court) || Mentions: Solfrid, Val(ind), Caite & Aziel (dir)
...
Seated upon her perch, keen eyes watched the human woman travers through the palace gardens. Her presence undetectable to all but the fully aware, or those not looking for her. Solfrid might not have intended she keep watch over their human 'guests', but she wasn't about to let them wonder the area without some surveillance. The High Lady might've welcomed them but Gwyn couldn't bring herself to fully trust leaving them to their own devices. Specially given they were trespassing to begin with. So she silently would keep an eye on them, at least to keep them out of trouble.
.
She'd happened to pick Caite for her watch, something about the woman bothered her. Even if she seemed perfectly normal, there was some things that didn't add up. Such as the small lesser fae seemed to be attracted to her, appearing as small shimmering butterflies or lady bugs on flowers. However another figure within the gardens caught her attention, Aziel. Gwyn frowned when she noticed the elder fae approach the woman, opening her wings she let herself glide to the ground. Her footsteps silent against the path as she folded her wings, lifting an arm she dismissed the owl who'd been perched on her shoulder. "Pardon my intrusion m'lord" she greeted Aziel with a short bow. "She is one of the humans we recently detained for trespassing, Caite I believe" Gwyn voiced as she approached, her gaze briefly following Lua as she rose into the sky, before turning to fix the woman with a stern look. Silently bidding the girl mind her tounge before Aziel.

Nevari | 250 | Water-Fae || Day Court || Mentions: Matt(dir), Val, Caite (ind)
...
She hummed to herself as she stirred the brew before her, having been asked to help prepare meals for their human guests. Thoughts swirled through her head as the sounds of the lesser fae moving about faded into the background. While she wasn't super familiar with mortals, Neva found herself at odds with those that disliked the presence of them within the palace walls. Glancing to her side she caught the large figure of the human male, his name was Matt if she remembered correctly. Tilting her head she chuckled softly and beckoned him closer with a small wave. Neva smiled kindly as she reached over and held out an apple for the male.
.
"Hungry?" she questioned, briefly noticing the lesser fae dissapearing from sight, some even leaving the room entirely. She huffed briefly at their behavior, before turning her attention back to her brew. "I'm Nevari, but please call me Neva" she glanced towards him happily, her voice warm and welcoming. While she might be lesser than some others of power within the castle, Neva still held some power as the defacto healer and caretaker. She was respected for her skills and her gentlness she handled every situation with. Although it was just part of her nature, Nave was a water based fae afterall. She chuckled watching the male who'd approached, he certainly seemed more approachable than even some she knew within the day court.

Caite | 24 | Human | Mentions: Aziel (dir), and Gyneira (dir), open

Her hand was reaching out to brush her fingertips against one of the various roses when the voice of someone behind her froze her hand. Her body froze as she tried to think through her options. Slowly, she pulled her hand back in and acted as if she was going to scratch her neck in a poor attempt to cover her scar. As she turned to face the male, her right arm moved to be behind her back, as her eyes widened taking in the sight of the taller winged male.

She was about to answer when the female that had captured her walked up to them. Her hand fell from her neck as she looked between the pair making note of the look she was receiving from the female. "She is 'ight. Ma' name is Caite." Hearing the thickening accent on her words, she cleared her throat and took a deep breath.

"It is a pleasure to meet you. I would bow or curtsy but I fear that this dress would destroy the rest of my modesty if I did that." Her eyes had been downcast as she spoke, only lifting after she finished with a soft smile. Both hands were clasped behind her back as her posture straightened. A bit of her stubborn willfulness seeping out as she almost got into a fighting stance with her legs, but the brush of the fabric leaving her leg, pulled her attention to the exposed skin and she quickly narrowed her stance and both of her hands rushed forward to try and return the fabric to a more modest cover.

A curse left her lips as she was playing with the silken fabric. After a few painful moments, and a deep sigh, her eyes finally lifted from herself to look between the pair once more, using her right hand to push some strands of hair behind her ear realizing a little too late about the mark that she tried to quickly hide her arm behind her back once more.

Matt | 28 | Humans | Mentions: Caite (ind.), Valerie (ind.), Nevari (dir)

The male had put up a fight when the guards had taken his pistol, but he was going to get it back because he needed to protect Valerie and Caite. He knew both women were more than capable of handling themselves, however, he still wanted to protect them if he could.

The morning rays had woken the male when they danced into his eyes. With a soft groan, Matt ran a hand through his disheveled mop of hair as he sat on the edge of the soft bed looking out over the field that was below his window. His thoughts wandered to Caite and Val wondering if they were okay and how he would look for them. The deep rumble of his stomach pulled his attention back to himself and he stood walking over to the dresser. Thankfully there were some clothes that fit, if a little snuggly against his frame, but they would have to do. He picked up the pair of riding boots and once more took a seat on the edge of the bed when his door opened.

His gaze lifted from lacing up the boots when a shocked gasp reached his ears. He offered a sleepy wave that was accompanied by a yawn that he quickly covered. "Good morning." His voice still carrying the freshly awoken gravel as he spoke. The servant seemed to stay frozen in the doorway until one of the other servants pushed her into the room. Of course the act earned a chuckle from the male as he stood with another stretch.

"Whelp, I don't think I need your help this morning, but I am going to find something to eat." He walked past the pair that just stared after him confused that he was just walking away. Matt walked down the hallway running a hand through his hair again, trying to tame the wild mess. His stomach grumbled again when the smell of cooking food filled his nose.

"Guess I am headed in the right direction." He began to follow the scent taking a few moments to look around him. "Hmmm, I wonder if Caite and Val are up yet?" He mused stopping in the open door way to what he assumed was the kitchen and leaned against it watching the servants pause at his arrival and then disperse as he stepped into the room.

"Why thank you." He raised an eyebrow watching the female offering him the apple and he took it before returning to the doorway. "This isn't going to turn me into some sort of woodland creature is it?" A soft smile forming on his lips as he looked from the apple over to Nevari. "Pleasure to meet you Neva." Before waiting to hear her answer, he lifted the apple to his lips and took a bite. The sweet juice of the apple filled his mouth and as he chewed, the male waited to see if he was going to change.

The sound of running feet pulled the male's attention from the fae in front of him and he leaned back to look down the hallway noticing what he thought looked like Valerie running towards him.

Aziel Castor | Lost Count | High Fae/Illyrian | Mentions: Gywn (dir) & Caite (dir)
Aziel nodded to Gywn, "Trespassing? Doesn't seem like a usual thing for fae to keep a human. I feel like we'd rather drive them away."
He turned his attention back to Caite, looking at her dress first. He tried to keep his expression from looking negative but he couldn't resist the urge to speak his thoughts. "What in the Celestine has that woman put you in?"
Aziel looked up towards the windows above the garden, shooting a glare towards the castle as if Solfrid was there. "Does anybody here dress in clothes that actually cover you? Look at her! She can barely even move without everything being out there." He fluttered his wings in a slightly annoyed manner. "Hmph. Well, enough of that. You seemed a bit.. shocked when you saw me, am I scary to you?" Aziel inquired. My eyes may scare her, but I'm not really that scary.. right? His thoughts didn't really convince him of anything. He was tall, winged, his eyes looked creepy.. probably, so maybe he was scary. At least other Illyrians didn't care much about how he looked, even if he did differ from them slightly. Not my fault they haven't evolved to keep the humans scared, you need that in war. The first Illyrians had those traits, so should these younglings. Oh well.

Valerie | 24 | Huntress | Matt & Caite (Dir) Gwyneria & Aziel (Ind)

Sprinting in what felt like eternity she could smell the numerous fragrances dancing out of the kitchen. Her intestines would lurch forward and roar in protest but she had nearly run past him quickly recognizing those locks of obsidian hair anywhere, it was Matt peering out from the kitchens.

“Matt!” She blurted out immediately, halting and panting to catch her breath. She would slump over resting her hands on her knees before peering up at him. “Caite… she’s outside in the gardens… with … this massive male and … some white haired female.” She would eventually finish saying with a mask of slight confusion. Finally catching most of her breath she had grabbed his collar in an attempt to pull him along with her to get to Caite, hopefully in time to figure out what in the bloody hell was going on.

Good Heavens am I out of shape or is this place so enormous to make me feel as though I am out of shape.

Respectively, aerobic exercise wasn’t her forte as much as a bow and arrows were. When out hunting, she relied on her steed’s stamina to capture and kill prey. Not often did she go into the woods on foot other than to track.

- A minor few minute time lapse -

Eventually, finding her way out into the gardens she could see Caite being scowled at by a pallid haired female and saw the large brute of a male standing before the pair. He immediately stood out in comparison, he was much taller and his wings were much different than those that were described to her in childhood. He didn’t seem to be Fae although there was something about his aura or the air about him that did in fact give him some inkling of Fae. Lost in a brief moment of thought she would struggle to contain herself abruptly impeding the conversation.

“Caite!” She would shout endearingly, sprinting up to her and containing her excitement to leap in her arms. Soon standing to the left of her, creating some space between the others.

My Gods! What did those faeries dress her in. You couldn’t even call that a dress let alone anything closely resembling barely a blanket of clothing. She had an inkling of shared discomfort for Caite, understanding what it probably felt like for everything to be exposed. She would rip off her own top to cover the girl but eyed Matt to provide some form of clothing.

Aziel Castor | Lost Count | High Fae/Illyrian | Val(dir) & Matt (ind) & Caite(ind)
Aziel peered down at the newest human. "I didn't know we had a group here. Is this what you get up to at the festival?" Aziel ruffled his wings.
"Who might you be, secondary human?" He nodded towards Valerie. "And that one, who's that one?" Aziel looked over the two girls and straight at Matt for a good minute before turning back to Val and Caite. Despite looking human, his wings absolutely gave away the fact that he wasn't. That, and his pupil-less eyes. It really depended on which side, front or back, you saw him from first. And the distance, you'd see his wings in any direction since they were almost the size of Aether's.
The sun was wearing on him at this point, being out in the garden all exposed to the sun and all.
"My eyes are burning out here, can we go inside while you answer those questions?" Aziel spread his wings out, stretching them as well as threatening the humans a little. It was more to seem intimidating rather than an actual threat but that's still the same idea.

Matt | 28 | Humans | Mentions: Caite (dir), Valerie (dir), Gwyneria and Aziel (ind/dir)

The male didn't have much time to say a goodbye before he was pulled after Valerie. His mind was reeling at being so quickly pulled along but also that Caite was standing with a male and a female. It wasn't super shocking but with how things were, he was partially happy that Caite was around. His long strides kept up with Valerie but he faulted as they came into the garden, the apple falling from his hand as his eyes widened seeing his cousin in the revealing dress and the male that was possibly taller than him.

He stumbled a few steps but righted himself before raising an eyebrow at Valerie as he pointed to himself feeling the color beginning to rise into his cheeks, giving him a rosier hue. He cleared his throat with an uncertain sigh before beginning to take off his shirt to expose the his toned torso. With very little grace, he offered the shirt to his cousin while keeping his gaze fixed pointedly on the male and white haired female.

"Wh-" his voice cracking slightly when he started to speak and then cleared his throat before continuing. "What festival are ye' talking abo't? Who wants te know who we are?" Much like his cousin, the Irish accent slipped into his speech. He felt the cloth of the shirt leave his fingers and his whole body seemed to relax as he let out the breath that he had apparently been holding.

He took a chance to look over to his cousin who had moved herself behind Valerie as some sort of concealment and quickly slipped the shirt over her head also seeming to relax once the fabric was nestled on her shoulders. "Thank you Matt." She motioned for Matt to come closer and wrapped both Matt and Valerie into a hug. "I am sooooo happy to see you both."

Matt wrapped his arms around the two women and chuckled still feeling the heat within his cheeks. "I would 'ave been 'appier to see ye wit' more clothing on ya." He stated pulling back raising an eyebrow as he noticed the marking on her arm. "Where did that come from?" His tone lowered before his gaze moved over to the other male.

"Did you do this?" He pointed to Caite's arm, as Caite tried to keep the sleeve covering it down as Matt lifted her arm. "Matt it is not from him." She muttered pulling her arm away and made sure to put Valerie between him and her cousin.

Her eyes moved back over to Aziel wanting to answer his first question. "You are intimidating but not overly scary...I have no reason to fear you...yet." She chose her words carefully keeping an eye on Matt who had now folded his arms not entirely impressed with her actions. "But you are right, lets head back inside and maybe have a bit more privacy than out here in the open." She took Valerie's hand and began to head towards the manor/castle building with a rushed step.

As she walked, she whispered to Valerie. "I don't know where this mark came from but it won't come off...we can't tell Matt that." Matt motioned for the other two beings to follow after his cousin before also following muttering as he walked. "They dress her in such provacative clothing and I am the one that has to give up my shirt...Why didn't the first person there offer to cover her up? Now I feel exposed." His eyes took in the wings of the male fae and curiousity danced on the edges of his thoughts as they made their way inside.

"We didn't mean to intrude on any festival that was happening." He finally stated, having calmed down enough to compose himself to not speak as thickly. "We were just hunting for our families and Miss." He moved over to Caite and put an arm around her and Valerie's shoulders protectively. "I can do anything here decided to let her horse take off."

Caite almost leaned into Matt's embrace until he poked fun at her and she snorted folding her arms over her chest. "We will answer who we are if you also tell us who you are." A small smile played on her lips as she lifted her head trying to look confident, though she looked much like a child in their father's shirt under Matt's arm.

She felt herself stiffen hearing the woman's voice thicken with her accent, but as she straightened and collected herself Gwyn's gaze softened a touch. Pausing to look the woman's dress over she sighed, pulling the cloak from her shoulders and holding it out to Caite. "My high lady has an interesting sense of fashion for the ladies of the court, but I don't see why you must adhere to that." Gwyn voiced tilting her head without meeting the human's gaze. Her own blue gaze shifted from the other two that had joined the group, before returning to the larger Illyrian standing to her side. "The other two were caught by the royal guard, they seem to be her close confidants" she clarified for Aziel.
.
A sigh left her as she noticed the medic approach cautiously, "it would seem food has been prepared. Why don't we head inside and continue our conversation over a meal" Gwyn dipped her head to Neva who smiled and bowed. Returning her attention to the group she motioned back down the path, "if you would, this way". She started down the path, shifting her wings as she tried to settle herself to dealing with these humans for longer. This wasn't in her plans but at least she could keep an eye on them with the group together, which made her job easier which was nice. Lua chirped from the sky before descending to her shoulder, Gwyn sighed softly reaching up to stroke the owl's soft feathers. Having the large bird with her did help to keep her calm. Glancing over her shoulder at the group as they entered the dining space, certainly the odd group to say the least she chuckled to herself. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad after all.

Neva chuckled at the human male's remark, "of course it won't". She paused seeing a female come rushing towards the male, tilting her head as she listened to their brief exchange before the female pulled the male off down the hall in a hurry. Curiosity getting the better of her as she wandered off down the hall, following the sound of their footsteps she paused as voices reached her. She spotted the two humans joining the third she'd heard about, however what made her pause most was the two daughting figures standing with them. The spymaster and the guest from night court. For a moment she felt the urge to turn and leave, that is until she locked eyes with the snowy owl perched above the gardens. Sighing she knew the spymaster was aware of her presence whether or not she liked it.
.
The icy woman looked towards her and Neva offered a smile as she watched Gwyn nod and make an offer to chat over a meal. While this wasn't expected she welcomed the warmth from the spymaster, it was a nice change from her all work no play mentality. She briefly glanced at the group her gaze shifting from person to person, pausing briefly on the male from before chuckling to herself and shaking her head. Dipping her head to the group she slipped off back to the kitchen, quickly gathering a few dishes and having a few lesser fae move them into the dining area for the group. Giving them smiles as she stood at the side watching each enter and pick seats, or those that chose to stand. However she found herself feeling at a loss for what to do and her place among the group. She was just a simple healer and caretaker, what was she to this group than anything more than a silent figure standing in the corner.

"It.. might be something like that." Aether admitted.
"I've also gotten some other news," He began, leaning himself against the nearest wall. His eyes flicked over to Maeve when she came over.
"You could definitely say that, Maeve." Aether nodded.
"This doesn't really concern you, but it's not as if you cannot hear it." Aether crossed his arms.
"Well, to start off with, High Lady of the Day Court has sent out an invitation to us, for us to go visit. We all know here, in the Night Court, that we're going to get married but the Day Court doesn't have that information quite yet. I've got no idea why, so if you ask I can't give you an answer." Aether directed the next bit towards the spymaster.
"We'll have to travel to the Day Court to announce that with Solfrid. I'd rather not go alone in all honesty. If you'd like to join us, Maeve, you can come along too since we don't have a second or third in command to join us. The more the merrier right?" Aether gave a small smile, thinking about how horrible he knew they would find the Day Court.
"I heard Aziel isn't having a great time there so he'd appreciate the company at the very least."

"I could kill for some food right about now." Aziel nodded towards Gwyn.
"You didn't intrude on a festival, it's only happening in one place. It's just happening at the same time as you humans randomly appearing here." Aziel grumbled.
"About the clothing choices, those are all the High Lady's fashion. The Night Court wouldn't have done you guys like that.
Thank you for finally answering that question. I warn you, you should fear me at least a little." Aziel smiled towards Caite. "It's nice to have a brave human around."
Aziel huffed, it was really annoying to not get answers from the humans.
"My name's Aziel," He started, deciding it wasn't horrible to tell them. "I'm High Fae just like the High Lord of the Night Court and High Lady of the Day Court. You'll have to call them High Lord and High Lady when you meet them, but you don't have to for me. I don't rule over a court. If you find out their names, most likely from me saying them, you shouldn't do the same." Aziel had noticed the mark appearing on Catie, the same one Aether had. He immdiately knew what it meant.
"Except Caite, she can use the High Lord's name. Just don't do it in public, that's probably a bad idea."
Aziel sat himself down at the giant table situated in the dining room once they arrived.
"What's being made today?"

Solfrid II High Lady of Day Court II Mentions: Aziel

High Lady was surprised by the news of humans' appearance on teritory of Day Court since fae and human world have severed their connections with an ugly war. She was an active witness to all happenings despite operating from safety of Prismaria as second most powerful fae of the Court, matters of care for civil fae folk had resided in soft small hands that always itch with yearning to grasp onto power. It had not been her place to charge, to fight in midst of battlefield, for dangers had been too great even for well trained Illyrians or high fae like her brother. Former getting proven by numerous loses and later by terrible news of her brother's death that had plunged Day Court in deep sadness.

Although sadness had not been an emotion curtaining heart of the sole heir.

War is a mess Solfrid never wishes to partake in again. There is lot of power in it indeed, but it is wild with many sources not even she can control.

'It is a memory present in many of ours, but a lost tale to humans of today' due to humans being one of short-lived species.

Like the first ray of sunlight reaching over mountain peeks, showering the world with beauty, High Lady glided down a long glass hall where every craved decoration glittered as white light split into rainbows. Expensive pinkish robes followed delicate steps weightlessy, small feet adorned with jewelry comfortably bare against sun warmed floors of the palace, barerly audible jingle annunciating arrival of etheral fairy as she stopped at the entrance of the dinning space, flanked by two maids who were tasked with accomodating unusual guests. She will stay there still till every pair of eyes notices there is someone divine, deserving of awe and attention, gracing their presence. One who can manage any palace function by flicking a wrist or other tiny movements her servants were trained to interpret. A source which only needs a fraction of its force to put into motion plethora of consequential actions.

"Sir Aziel is an impressive Illyrian no doubt" Solfrid's voice echoed gently like a wave caused by distant storm lapping at a shore, seeminlgy just a faint left over trace of power it was borne from, while actually a warning signal to anyone wise enough to percive force of the ocean. "However responsibilites of Courts weight not on firm constitution of his" reprimad was short, kind as if a mother was teaching a child to understand without threat of punishment.

"Welcome everyone. I am High Lady of Day Court-Solfrid. Enjoy the hospitabily of our Court" she spoke once perched at head of long luxurious table covered with delicacies while motioning for anyone who did not take a seat yet to do so.

Aziel Castor | Lost Count | High Fae/Illyrian | Mentions; Solfrid
Aziel mentally rolled his eyes, "Speak of the scaled bear."
A scaled bear was just a regular bear, but much bigger and much stronger. Scaled bears were mainly kept by kingdoms who had fought, and won, against humans in the past or kingdoms who kept them like human zoo animals. Scaled bears are very dangerous, and mainly High Lords tended to them.
In Aziel's experience, High Ladies never went near them unless they felt like joining in on a war. Scaled bears had armor crafted by each court, it depended on what court they were in for what style they had, and that armor regularly had a scaled theme to it or were in fact metal scales. Speak of the scaled bear was the Night Court's version of the humans Speak of the devil. Each Court had a different ending to the sentence, and Aziel was seriously considering the idea of the Day Court having it be Speak of the Illyrian. Purely because of how annoying they must find himself.
"Hello Solfrid," Aziel Castor turned to smile at her momentarily. He turned back to the group soon after.
He grabbed a plate and snatched up a Rolla Meala Triomaithe, which wasn't normally a Day Court thing but he had taught the cooks what it was because he had been wanting one since he arrived. Along with the Rolla Meala Triomaithe, he grabbed a bottle of Cóiméid. Yes it was a candy, and yes he was going to drink the entire bottle in barely a second once he had finished his food, like the little goblin he was.
