Do to the force of the blast and the lack of support at the front of the cave in the Eastern Keep, the ceiling has collapsed even further causing a cave-in at the entrance seconds after being opened. Every time a rock moves out of place now, another one falls to take it.

Akhenaten
Venom Dragon | Male | Mentions: Raija, Dragons

The snake-like dragon shifted his wings and rolled his body forward a bit so he was balancing on that and not using his wings to hold himself up. His eyes shifted to his mate, pupils retracting into thin slts as he contemplated her words and he hissed softly.

"I wish I could say they did, my love. I don't think the goal was to kill us with that attack, if it was they could have aimed explosions down the entrance instead of bombarding the entire mountain. I cannot be sure, but my guess was to divide us and conquer. It's easier to take us out when we're apart than together," he spoke, but turned his attention back to the blocked exit.

"I don't think there is any fast and safe option, the mountain is too unstable now. One wrong move and the entre mountain could come crashing down," the words were more spoken to himself than to anyone, but they were directed more to Raija. He moved towards the exited and hissed softly to the larger Fire dragon who grunted and stepped several feet back to allow him room to examine the blockage.

He shook his head gently in disagreement with his mate, though he understood her thought process. "I worry if we hit it with a beam any parts that aren't stable will fall back in. It's better to go slow and be safe," he arched up to examine the top where the open entrance would have turned into the edge of the mountain. "Curse us for not simply having an earth dragon among us," he grubmbled to himself and flicked his tongue, trying to sense where air is coming in.

He glanced at Raija with a thoughtful expression and rumbled at her softly to pull her attention over to him and the block. "Could you hold a layer of rocks up to keep the top from falling in, while we clear the rest out beneath and then leave? The rest of us can dig while you hold?" His head cocked to the side as he glanced at the rocks, wondering if his idea was the best course of action. "It'll be slow, so I know it might strain you," worry was clear in his voice.

Fergus Murdoch
Dragon Rider | Male | Mentions: Sedna, Jasper, Maze

Numbness was all Fergus could feel after a few moments, the sounds around him coming in faded and muddled. His chest heaved as he tried to comprehend exactly what was going on around them. He wasn't built for this, not in the slightest. Violence, war. It wasn't who he was.

His eyes snapped up as Sedna grabbed a hold of him and he blinked his eyes back into focus and nodded. "G-Got it. Head. In game. Done." His voice was shakey, but he pulled himself together enough to look like he wasn't about to pass out. He nodded in response to whatever else Sedna said, letting hs breath come out in unsteady huffs. At least he was calming back down though.

He followed him quietly, long legs keeping up easily as he moved, eyes focused ahead. Part of him was visibly relieved when he saw Jasper and Maze, grateful to know others were alive still. That definitely calmed him down. Of course worry creased his brow when he saw blood dripping off Maze's hand, but she seemed more unbothered by it that he felt, so he tried to not worry to much. Instead, he pulled himself free from Sedna and grabbed a sheet from one of the empty beds near by, avoiding the rubble in the process and ripped a long strip off. He returned to the trio and offered it to Maze who nodded at him, taking it from him his hands and wrapping it around her arm, using her free hand and teeth to knot it tight.

"I'm alrght, just not good with these things," he answered Jasper honestly, his attention snapping away when he heard the sound of the bell. When Jasper took off after it, Fergus turned his attention to Sedna, "I'm going outside to see if I can help out there, maybe go with some people to the armory for gear? We can grab the dragon saddles and bring them out for the people looking for survivors. Or maybe a group of us can go to the Keep and check on the dragons?"

Fergus wanted to be helpful, he didn't like being useless. However, unlike his brother, he was not a leader. He did well with coming up with ideas, but he needed someone to tell him which to execute.

Scirocco

Ice Class || Female || Mentions: Xevioso, K’issuk, Seraphina (ind)

Scirocco was interrupted from her examination of the pile of rubble as Xevioso stepped forward, wings spread wide as he prepared to blast the exit. She took a couple steps back, though Xevioso’s large frame pretty well engulfed her smaller size, curving her long neck away, closing her eyes and shielding her head with her body. She could feel the electric energy building up the cavern and felt her feathery mane and the fur beneath her scales begin to stand on end with the static. Light built behind her eyelids until- CRACK. The impact of the other dragon’s blast rang through the space, echoing off the walls and vibrating the stone beneath Sciro’s talons.

After waiting a moment for the dust to settle, Sciro peeked her eyes open and lifted her head, turning towards the exit. She met Xevioso’s gaze for a moment, giving him a grateful nod. She then noticed the tingling sensation running down her spine, and saw that her mane was still sticking straight up from the static. Sciro shook her whole body heavily in an attempt to get it to settle but it only worked a little. Ignoring it for now she followed Xevioso out a few paces, stepping up onto a larger piece of broken rock with her front legs to get a better view of the valley below. She swept her silver gaze over the chaos below, the glow of fires lighting up the cliff sides. The smell of smoke and dust clogged her nostrils. Sciro’s scales bristled with unease and anger and the hint of growing bloodlust towards whoever did this, and all she wanted to do was cast herself off the edge and find Seraphina, but she forced herself to settle and listen to Xevioso first.

Sciro nodded along, silently agreeing about getting to the others to help and for a healer, then the male dragon proposed his idea. She listened thoughtfully, ears perked as he explained. “Hmm,” her tail swept over the dirt and gravel behind her in contemplation, eyes somewhat unfocused as she created a mental picture of the plan. “That could very well work, my only concern would be-”

An ear-splitting crack was the only warning Sciro had. Her head snapped up, catching only a glimpse of the spider web fissures suddenly appearing in the rock above. “LOOK OUT!” She shouted in the midst of leaping back towards Xevioso and K’issuk when the ceiling caved in another deafening wave of shattering stone and cascading debris.

A few moments later the rumbling faded. Sciro coughed up dust, wheezing in pain as the breath was knocked out of her. She had avoided most of the falling rock, but a large slab had caught her right in the middle of her body, pinning her to the floor in a bruising impact. Thankfully it wasn’t heavy enough to entirely crush her, and it was more propped up against her middle than anything, but it certainly made it difficult to breathe properly. Scirocco writhed for a moment to try and wiggle free, talons scrabbling at the stone floor, but she wasn’t strong enough to lift it off of herself. Realizing she was well and truly stuck, Sciro let her head and neck thump to the floor in defeat. “Fantastic,” she rasped bitterly. Not only had they a taste of freedom and somewhat of a plan, but that was snatched away just as fast and now she was pinned by a rock. Again.

Peter M. Evans // 17 // M // Rider // M: Jasper

It was mostly the fact that his vision was obscured by the dust, his hair and the blankets themselves. With the edges trapped under the crumpled mattress frame, it was still a blessing to see at least a somewhat familiar face.

While he couldn't put a name to the face yet, he recognized them. It was another one of the riders. Someone who was going to be able to help him out.

The young man's relief was evident in his emerald green eyes that peered back through the mess of rubble. It took some more struggling and wriggling to free one of his pale hands, reaching out toward the familiar face.

While he couldn't do the usual sign--at least the one he wanted--he managed to push a closed fist upward toward the other rider. Hopefully it would be enough to signal 'help'.

If they understood at all.

Ráijá Vábo
Psyche Dragon || Female || Mentions: Akhenaten, Others

Tail swaying against the ground, a soft snort sounded from her nostrils as dust collected around her face. She was displeased with the situation, her feelings made obvious given the continuous low rumble sounding from her throat.

Narrowed eyes turned to Akhen, giving him a distasteful once-over. "I don't like it when you're right." Shifting her weight so that it distributed evenly, she raked her horns against a slab of stone. The sound of them scraping against the rough material created an unruly sound, to which Ráijá ignored. Once finished, she turned to Akhenaten, a singular talon touching her horns like a woman fixing her hair.

"What do you think? Sharp enough, dearie?" Releasing a sound best described as a 'ho-hum', she placed her hands upon the ground. They lingered there for a moment before she began to dust herself off, and once she was content, turned to Akhen. Brushing dirt off of him, she proceeding to rub at a singular spot of grime upon his cheek. Brows furrowing, she grasped his head in one hand out of irritation whilst the other worked at the spot until satisfied.

"There, now we're presentable." Puffing her chest out, she shook her physique before finally tuning in. It was clear that the female wasn't too anxious with the entire situation, given her slow comments on the matter. However, she had tilted her head a degree upon the mountain possibly crashing down.

"I suppose there are pressure points in the foundation here and there." Eyes upon the ceiling, she raised an arm to block falling particles from ruining her vision. "Mm, I suppose we should do something about this situation then." As if bored, she followed after the smaller male, waddling alongside of him in an exaggerated manner before inspecting the rubble.

When he turned down the idea of a beam, she scoffed. "All that matters is we escape," she mumbled, only to release a soft chortle. "Always so careful. Here I was excited to see the light create an explosion. Pity." An apathetic look crossed her features momentarily before frowning, taking in the thoughtful expression appearing on Akhen's own. "I despise that look. You know I do." And yet, she inched nearer when he beckoned her over, listening to his words before releasing another cackle. This time, sharper.

"You want me to exert my energy? Hah, wouldn't that be a dream," she heaved, half expecting the male to be making a joke. Grinning, her smile soon faded upon realizing that her mate was indeed not being.. funny.

"So long as I don't need to dig, I suppose I could." Was she exhilarated at the thought? Of course not, though she was feeling rather claustrophobic. When he mentioned that it may strain her, Ráijá allowed her eyes to light up in amusement. "Well, then, I suppose you'll have to be there to catch me." Without another word, she circled behind him, giving Akhen and the others room to work in.

"Why don't you tell them of the plan. I would do it, but the dust is upsetting my throat." Waving her hands at her mate, she hardly listened for a response before rolling her shoulders in preparation.

"Simply give me the word." Of course, she didn't wait for anybody to do such a thing, for mere milliseconds later, she had already begun. A series of rocks began to shift before levitating in the air, her eyes gleaming an ominous red as they did so. The rocks had silently moved, clinking against one another softly as they formed a layer of rubble above them. Of course, the rubble was thickest atop of Akhen, who she ensured was most protected.

"Well, I don't have all day," she barked.

K'issuk Rán
Water Class || Female || Mentions: Xevioso, Scirocco, Kaia

She had taken several steps back, the light upon her head softly illuminating the vicinity in an attempt to make the assessment of the rubble easier. Giving Xevioso room to work, she reached out a singular wing to shield Scirocco of any loose debris that may shoot towards them. When the faint sound of electricity buzzed in the air, K'issuk closed her eyes, head pressing against her chest to shield her face as lightning struck the boulders.

Wincing as a few pebbles shot against her, she dusted herself off the moment it was done. Folding her wing against her side, she nodded to Scirocco to see if she was alright before advancing over the dust and towards Xevioso. Immediately, the smell of smoke entered her senses, nearly making her eyes water as she placed a hand upon the storm dragon's shoulder.

"Thank you," she uttered, her neck craning to take in the sight before her. Like suspected, both the Dorms and Western Keep had been under attack. Kaia only confirmed it, his voice entering her mind through the link. Relief flooded through her, her eyes closing momentarily in a silent thank you. 'It is all destroyed. All of it,' she began. 'Xevioso, Scirocco, and I have escaped, but Kaia..' She paused. 'There were many casualties. Riezzyn and Deilo..' Shaking her head to herself, she was forced to stop before her emotions took over. 'I will let Xevioso know about Henry. Please take caution. I will come for you soon.' Turning to the other two, K'issuk glanced to them.

"That was Kaia. Henry is with him," she spoke, turning to Xevioso. "The experienced dorms are gone. The new riders are the sole target now." Glancing to Scirocco, she continued. "He has yet to find others, but he's going to the dorms of the new riders to collect anybody he can." Nodding along to her words as if she weren't the one speaking them, K'issuk averted her gaze back to Xevioso, who had begun formulating a plan. When he finished pitching it, her focus turned upon Scirocco, who had begun to add on. Unfortunately, she never received the opportunity to finish.

An ungodly, shattering crack sounded, one that K'issuk was now all too familiar with. It was the same crack she had heard only earlier with Riezzyn. "Go, go!" She snapped, wasting no time to move. Shoving Scirocco forward, her action proved insignificant. At a last minute attempt to shield the two from the inevitable, her wings had shot out. They had barely brushed against skin before rock rained down upon them, her hope to aid them failing.

The familiar pressure of stone piling atop of stone was soon felt, crushing her chest against itself as her neck twisted beneath the growing pile. Hisses and suppressed cries rumbled in her throat as slabs of heavy material both created new wounds, and dug deeper into already existing ones. Her arm, which had already ached, now screamed with pain, and she couldn't feel her tail. And yet, K'issuk still attempted to free herself.

Frustrated hisses and grunts could be heard from the female as her claws scraped against pebbles, a sound rare coming from the peaceful creature. She continued until exhaustion overcame her, and by the time she finally halted, her mouth was agape due to fatigue. That didn't stop the female from releasing a final, exasperated wail out of anger before growing limp from defeat.

"Is everybody alright," she managed to croak out, not knowing if her voice could even be heard. Remaining silent momentarily, she blinking gently. Figuring Kaia should know, she mustered up the power to communicate with him. 'Trapped again,' was all she managed to get out to before growing tired. It took all of her remaining efforts to keep the light upon her head aglow, showing any passerby where she and the others lay.

Buried twice within the span of a singular morning.

How she managed that, even she didn't know.

Whistler / Wind / Female / Mentions: dragons

Whistler felt a tremble go through her at the sight of all that stone. If Ráijá lost her control for even a moment, half a mountain would grind her into nothing.

Her limbs felt heavy as she moved under the terrible stone with the others, drawn by a fresh breeze. She swore to never have a stable so deep under stone again. Assuming the university survived, that is.

Pebbles and dust rained down, pattering lightly against her feathered wings.

Fathom
Wind Class // Male // M: Juniper, Whistler, other dragons

It was true, in fact, the cave exit was blocked and there were no earth dragons. Looking around Fathom slouched after making sure everyone was okay. Akhen and Ráijá were attempting to break through the barrier of rock, where one wrong move could cause catastrophic damage if it collapsed wrongly. Fathom decided not to join in for his wellbeing, plus he wasn't built for that sort of heavy work. His hollow bones could not possibly stand a chance against falling stones.

"I wonder what happened with the riders, " he said to Whistler, while examining his talons. Dark red blood gushed through his torn scales, staining him and the ground a brown-red.

Fathom regretted looking at his injury. A nauseous feeling came from the pit of his stomach, but he continued acting as if he was fine. The male continued slouching as his golden eyes raced back and forth still scanning the cave nervously.
After a bit, Fathom finally just started to calm down a bit. Yes, he was still trapped, but at least the walls weren't still crumbling down. His muscles were slowly recovering from the explosion, but something else was bothering him. A weird feeling, an echo in his mind. A dreaded word, a cry. Fathom clutched his head struggling to focus on the message, it was fussy and unclear until it yelled.

Help.

Juniper is in trouble, Fathom jumped up, heart pounding and all. Adrenaline spiked through his veins as the dragon ran towards the wall, digging his claws into the stone. Not caring if anyone thought he was crazy.
