--

When Garvin woke up laying on a couch, basically draped over it, with a slight headache, it took him a moment to remember where he was. When he did, he was sitting up so fast that he fell from the couch and onto the floor.

--

…That was starting to become a common occurrence nowadays. The couch was better than the floor though, even with the falling. To be fair, a bed was even better, but Garvin had tried to use the bed he’d been given and hadn’t been able to- The thing was so comfortable that it was uncomfortable! It was weird!

--

Monty hadn’t liked the first time he’d found Garvin just chilling on the floor though, so he’d been moved to the couch. Where he ended up staying, until he woke up and fell on the floor each morning… Each morning that he actually fell asleep, that is. Not that Garvin particularly cared, it was honestly kind of amusing. You’d think he would figure out how not to fall at this point. But he hadn’t, so here he was. On the floor, trying not to cackle to himself because apparently that wasn’t something he should do? He didn’t get that either because, if he was being honest, this shit was hilarious. But eh, whatever, right? It probably wouldn’t help with the present headache he was decidedly ignoring.

--

And then he remembered that Monty wouldn’t be coming in to see it either way, not today, because he was hosting some weird party thing. Garvin hadn’t really paid attention to what it was called, it was just some hang out between vamps. So, with it decided that Monty couldn’t catch him, he snickered a bit as he pulled himself up and off the ground.

--

He should probably go to the party thing too, if Garvin was being honest with himself. He’d only been staying with Monty a few months, that’s about how long he usually lasts somewhere. It’d be a good idea to get connections before all that.

--

If it were up to Garvin, he’d just go in what he was wearing then. But Monty had said it was supposed to be a nice event, which was then explained as an event where Garvin couldn’t just wear anything. Unfortunately. So, he headed to the room that Monty had lent him. Garvin was pretty sure he shouldn’t get attached to it enough to call it his room, because it’d only been a few months. Getting attached made things harder later on.

--

The room was… Fancy. That was the only word Garvin could think of to describe it. Fancy. Way too fancy for him. Monty had said it was more simple, but honestly? He hadn’t seen a single room this fancy in his entire life. He chuckled to himself as he walked over to the closet that Monty had filled with fancy shit that Garvin didn’t have the first clue about. He’d seen plenty of rooms in his life, none of them like this. To be fair, he’d never seen a house like this either. He’d thought fancy ass places like this only existed for people nothing like him.

--

When it came to picking something to wear, Garvin wasn’t picky. So the moment he saw a shirt that looked even remotely comfortable, meaning it wouldn’t be made of only the finest and didn’t have the suffocating neck collar, he grabbed it and threw it onto the bed to change into. He went ahead and grabbed a jacket too from the closet, one that he had already patched a blank, crumbling tombstone onto the back of… Monty hadn’t liked when he’d done that either. The whole thing had Garvin laughing though, and he was still here, so he didn’t really care too much.

--

Picking a pair of pants was slightly harder, but he ended up being able to find a pair that wouldn’t constrict his movements and would let him carry a whole bunch of shit if he chose to. Which was plenty good enough for him. He ended up picking out some gloves too, ones that he wore often nowadays… And picked at just as often, which meant they were a little torn up but honestly- They were gloves, he was wearing a jacket, no one would really see them that much so what did it matter?

--

Garvin changed into the chosen outfit, and then glanced at the damn vanity, or whatever Monty had called it, in the room. ‘Not that fancy’. Sure, sure, if you say so, rich vampire man. Monty had apparently gotten him jewelry though, which Garvin had yet to look at or wear because his current ones worked just fine. He guessed that didn’t mean ‘nice’ though, so he walked over to the vanity. Just as expected, a huge jewelry box sat on the flat surface desk of the vanity. Just what had he gotten himself into? Not that he was going to complain, it was pretty nice, Garvin just wasn’t used to any of this.

--

After figuring out how to get the box open, he was able to pick out what jewelry to use pretty easily. For all of his piercings, actually. Which was definitely strange. The box even had rings, plenty of them, plenty of different types too. Garvin went with simple ones, just because the ones that had chains and links on them kind of seemed too fancy for him at the moment.

--

As soon as they were on, he went and grabbed the pair of boots that had quickly gained favor over the other shoes Monty had gotten. They were buckled, like the ones he’d had before Monty insisted on throwing them out. Along with burning basically all of the clothing Garvin had. He kept his trench coat though! That jacket was still in fine condition and when he found himself leaving he would definitely not be leaving it.

--

As soon as the boots were on, Garvin was leaving the room. He passed the room that he’d taken to calling, ‘water room’, because what it was actually called didn’t make much sense to him. He probably should’ve taken a bath, or a shower, or something, but it was too late now and he really didn’t care. Monty wasn’t running out of a room as soon as he entered anymore anyways, so he couldn’t be that bad now. Frankly, he wasn’t even sure what his scent was now to begin with. Whatever product Monty had in there, probably. Not like Garvin could read it to be able to tell.

--

So, he kept walking. He stopped at the kitchen, or the ‘free food room’, and stepped in. Surely Monty wouldn’t mind him taking a small drink? He wouldn’t even notice. After all, he hadn’t noticed Garvin swiping some here and there the past few weeks. He considered grabbing something to eat too, but he decided that it was probably fine if he waited.

--

With that in mind, he opened the cabinet that Monty kept his alcohol in and glanced around at the bottles. Whether he’d been able to read or not didn’t matter when it came to the bottles in front of him, because he could single out the one Monty seemed to prefer and make sure to grab anything but that one.

--

So, after he’d grabbed one he knew wasn’t Monty’s favorite, he shifted some around so that it looked just as full as it had before he’d grabbed one. The cabinet was closed immediately, and he gathered what little skills in reading he had to find the note that Monty had left him. The note that had the address of whatever it was that Monty was hosting today. As soon as he found it, which took a few minutes of staring and straining and maybe a little guessing, he grabbed it and made his way out. Luckily, he’d already gotten pretty used to finding his way around so that didn’t take him as long.

--

As soon as he was out, he was walking down the streets. He ended up grabbing some coins out of someone’s pocket as he walked, the victim none the wiser. He ended up using the coins to get a ride to the address on the note. A rather easy routine to follow, one he was familiar with.

*~*~*~*

The ride was honestly fine, better than walking it hitching rides that ended up with him trying his damnedest not to fall before he truly got on. So he counted it as a win as he stepped off and looked at the crumbling castle before him. Totally a Monty move to host something here, he chuckled at the thought.

--

No way was he going through the actual entrance though, not with the sound of dogs nearby to it. He’d rather not get chased around, thank you very much. It was a crumbling castle though, there was bound to be a broken window to climb through somewhere. So, as he started to walk he shifted the bottle into his recessive hand and put it into one of the big pockets of the jacket.

--

He ended up walking quite a bit before coming near a window, having to rely on hearing to tell how close the canines were. Luckily, he didn’t run into any of them, that probably wouldn’t have ended well for him. He did hear one fairly nearby at one point though, not that he knew anything about it since the dog or wolf or whatever hadn’t found him. Which was good. Garvin would rather live today, if he was being honest. Someone wanted him around, even if it was temporary, no way was he going to lose that by death. He’d rather be thrown out later than lose it to death by some dogs.

--

The first window he walked by ended up being fine, no way to climb through it. The second though? That one was fine too. The third? You guessed it, fine again. Fourth? Fifth? All of them ended up being fine. Garvin was about ready to just blame it on vampires and their fucking perfect everything, give up and try to sneak through the front. It seemed like luck was on Garvin’s side, for once, though as he rounded the corner of the crumbling castle he saw a broken window that he could climb though. He quietly sent a quick thanks to the immense amount of stamina he has due to years of running down alleyways away from the law for hours on end regardless of weather.

--

Climbing into the castle from the window proved to be just as easy as Garvin had expected it to be, which was about as easy as being able to climb stairs in alleyways without actually using the stairs. Which was about as easy as just being able to outrun the law or angry people that you pickpocketed from. Overall, easy if you know what you’re doing. Which Garvin did, so it was about a four on the difficulty scale, only because he hasn’t been doing it as much recently.

--

He ended up being deposited in a hallway, at which point he looked around, shrugged, and decided to just wander about. The place still had furniture and everything, he found out as he walked, some of it in at least what he considered to be perfect condition.

--

Basically, the place was fancy. And very gothic. Definitely a Monty chosen location. He whistled a middle C as he walked, glancing into rooms whenever he passed. He hadn’t found anyone yet, so he assumed they were all spread out in like, specific hangout places. He took out the bottle he’d grabbed from the cabinet earlier, opening it and taking a drink straight from it. Who was there to stop him? Plus, he didn’t know where any glasses were!

--

And, ah yeah, score! Definitely sweet fruit flavor, Monty seemed to like those most. It also was a bit oak, a flavor he was more inclined to taste than most people. This was, without a doubt, brandy. He made sure to look at the bottle as he walked, trying to engrave how it looked into his mind so that he could steal more if he felt like it later.

--

Garvin ended up walking around for a while with no sign of people, vampire or human, it was kind of disappointing. Where was everyone? Even if he ended up not being able to make connections or talk to anyone, surely vamps kept valuables on them that he could pickpocket? But to do that at all he kind of needed to find people.

--

He ended up passing by some big doors, so he glanced in to see some sort of giant ballroom. There were people in there, but definitely way too fancy for him. So he kept walking, he’d go in there later if he couldn’t find anyone a bit less… Well, intimidating and entitled.

--

About a third of the way into the bottle of brandy he comes upon a door that obviously leads outside. It’s not closed all the way, so Garvin decides why the fuck not and goes through it. He can always go back inside, but the door being open could mean someone went through it. Which meant he could find someone. And who the fuck would choose to be outside but someone who didn’t care for the expensive shit inside? It was the perfect chance! Ha! He snickered at his perfect reasoning, and glanced about.

--

There was what looked like a greenhouse, so he started his way towards that. Seemed a good enough decision, his usually high alert intuition wasn’t telling him to back off due to danger yet, so he assumed everything would be perfectly fine. Or maybe he just didn’t care to notice danger anymore? It had never stopped him before anyways. Not like it mattered in the long run, what with the blank, corroding tombstone patch on the back of his jacket to remind him. He snickered again to himself, and slowly slid the door of the greenhouse open while taking another sip of brandy from the bottle.

--

He looked about the greenhouse, letting his eyes sweep to see if he’d guessed right. And bingo! There was someone in here! And they were a vamp if the red fucking ears and tail were anything to go by! Or a werewolf, but he didn’t know if those existed too or if there were only vamps. He guessed vamps only and grinned his signature grin. Whoever it was definitely didn’t look very happy, but they were laying on a couch that Garvin could’ve sworn he’d slept on a few times in the past at cheap employer’s houses. This was certainly someone he could talk to easier.

--

Then he smelled blood and glanced down to see a fucking bear, dead one. Fucking shit, if the vamp did that then that was fucking cool as shit! Deciding to not just stand there like an idiot in front of this obviously devilishly handsome vamp, Garvin fully stepped into the greenhouse and closed the door behind him.

--

Hey there stranger, how ya doin’? Hope this place isn’t a ‘Wolf Devil’ only zone, ‘cause I would just absolutely hate ta leave now. Can’t find shit in the main place, an’ ya kinda look like ya could use some company anyways. That, an’ some good ole’ alcohol.” He grinned, and held up the brandy before taking another quick sip.

--

For a split second, Garvin wondered if the vamp would be more interested in his blood instead- He rather easily decided he didn’t really mind if that was the case, it’d honestly be kind of funny even. With that decided, Garvin walked on over to the couch the vamp was on, and leaned against the corner of it, looking down at the vampire. It still always surprised him that he was taller than most of them, he was pretty sure this one wasn’t any different, but given that Garvin didn’t want to hurt their pride, he made sure to hunch a bit as he leaned, take off a few inches of his height. He held the bottle where the vampire could take it if they so chose to.

Umbria and Zylpha | 200/25 | F/F | Justicar/Queen | Blood/Blue-Moon

Mentions: Isolabella, Karin, Vampire Goddess, each other (dir.), and Rosalie (ind.)

Umbria felt wrong watching her wife hug another woman while standing there. Her heart beat with fury, and her eyes weren't afraid to hide it. The woman's violet eyes gleam with rage and murderous intent at the interaction-deafened and not hearing what Bella has to say. She cannot say anything without risking exposure, so she forces her mouth to be kept shut. Avoiding looking at the two and staring at another painting to keep her mind distracted. Umbria was holding back the urge to kill someone right about now, and to her eyes, witnessing Bella talk to Zylpha like they were close was shooting her anger sky-high.

Meanwhile, Zylpha takes in Bella's words carefully, "I understand and apologize for my harsh words. I didn't mean to offend." Her voice sounded genuine, and the woman appeared shocked about the sudden sign of affection, albeit brief. "As for the hugging part, it's something that I'm not adjusted to, as I've never been held like that before." She rubs her arm shyly, with her uncomfortable emotion coming into view. "No one ever taught me to rule over a kingdom, more so be a trophy wife to some lord since that kind of responsibility was taught to my brothers, but not my sisters and I." Zylpha turns her blue eyes to the queen-consort, "That's why I wanted to become a musician. I wanted to live my own life, yet I was met with scorn by my family. Now, I have a kingdom of my own, but unsure how to do it all. A kingdom," the light in her eyes fading away, "where a vast majority of my people would prefer seeing me dead."

Umbria couldn't handle this anymore, quick to clear her throat to gain Kiran's attention, "Mind patrolling the halls for a bit to ensure the queen's," her teeth clenched, "safety from the other vampires? After this whole thing is over-I'll teach you the basics of blood usage." Watching him walk away, Umbria sighs and starts playing with a strand of hair. Something Vivienne used to do when she was upset over something. I guess old habits followed her into this body, and she exhaled quite loudly to gain the two's attention. "Yes. That's sad, but can we please get on with the meeting?" Biting back a lot of resentment she has towards Isolabella and Zylpha-turning around so that her back is facing them. She didn't want Bella to see her face knowing she'll get called out for it. "This is just great. Why is my life a living Hell?"

"What's wrong, Umbria? Did you notice how horrendous your face was, finally? Could it be," she narrowed her eyes with a shine to her eyes, "that you have feelings for the queen-consort? Is it because of me," she places a hand on Bella's shoulder, "that you're angry that I'm close to her? Touching her?" Umbria's jaw suddenly tightens when Zylpha starts teasing her, and she knows she is doing that on purpose to piss her off. The woman's ear burned a bright red while staying quiet. She briefly stares at Bella, a hint of love and jealousy within her purple iris' then looks at something else. "The more you talk, it makes me want to pummel you to death."

"You see that, queen-consort? I apologized, then she suddenly started an argument. Now," her brows furrow as she puts on a fake upset face, "she's ripping my heart with barbaric."

"I'll gladly rip your heart out a different way." Umbria snarled, getting angry once more.

"Unnecessary hostilities might end up with you getting killed, Umbria." Zylpha lets go of Bella to approach Umbria and stands beside her. "Such behavior would get you killed. Do remember that." Her voice was icy cold, and her eyes matched such a volume. Umbria side-glances Zylpha-the two trying to stare the other down. Suddenly, Zylpha's eyes glowed, and the entire room felt off. Umbria couldn't pry her eyes away from such an alluring, offputting stare-it made her feel weak. Powerless, even. She remembers this power: the glare. She used that ability when her subordinates stepped out of line and needed to be placed back in their rightful spots within the pecking order. Umbria's body was frozen solid, and her brain couldn't function properly. Was she frozen in time or something?

She started to move again when Zylpha looked away, and Umbria moved again. The tension was there, but it was weaker than before. Whatever Zylpha did make Umbria's willpower weak-it weakened her mentally. The violet-eyed vampire was too weak to speak yet had enough to look away from Zylpha. The queen stops and faces the royal consort, "Thank you for the advice, my lady." Turning away and walking down the hall, Umbria following in behind. It was fun when she did it, but now she understands the humiliation afterward. To be glared at like some low-life, how a simple glare could make you feel pathetic. Although, she couldn't help but smile. The woman's eyes lit up in excitement now that everything had calmed down. She experienced firsthand shame, and it was a damn thrill. Now, she views Zylpha as a worthy competition, which excites her even more.

While wandering down the hall, a sudden voice calls out in the back of her head. It was a voice she grew to hate. "What'd you want?" Communicating with the voice inside her. She started to grow irritated as she didn't reply instantly. "I know you hear me, woman."

"Hmm, is that how you talk to your mother?" The voice tried its hardest to sound heartbroken, but it came off as satire. "Especially to the woman who made you?"

Hearing such words made Umbria internally huff, "You didn't make me. I made myself. I made this whole thing-" "with my help, darling." The voice was taunting her-Umbria knows that and hates this sick game that she was playing. The inner voice laughed mockingly at Umbria's rising anger. Amused by how quick it was to anger the former queen, "Such a temper you have, my child. Here I thought you be pleased to hear my lovely voice."

"I'm not pleased, more like disgruntled, foiled, disappointed. You know, other words that are the opposite of pleased." She remarked sarcastically, and the voice snorted. "Here I'm trying to warn you of my favorite vampire-your precious daughter, Rosalie." Umbria grew cold at the mention of her adoptive child, and she walked faster to outpace the queen to search for Rosalie. Zylpha was confused about what Umbria was doing, though she didn't bother to approach her as she seemed upset about something else.

"What did you do to her? I know you were involved with it all! Don't take me for a fool."

Just then, she could feel something heavy wrapping around her neck and breathing on the left side of her ear. Her body had unwanted pressure and squirmed in discomfort. She knew who it was. She isn't happy about it either. It's odd how she can be the only one to see her. To feel her when she touches her. To communicate with the goddess when the others can't. She knew the reason yet hated to admit it. "You can be a fool at times, my child. You're an idiot for not taking my words seriously, which could cost you the life of someone you hold dear."

Quick as she was to arrive, the goddess vanished without a trace. Umbria sighed in relief when she was left alone. Just in time too, as the smell of blood filled the rundown halls of the castle. "I'll go investigate it. Stay with Bella, Zylpha." She didn't bother to address her as your majesty-quickly rushed off to track the source. Her running speed was inhumanely fast, which is the pro of being a vampire. When she turned the hall, she noticed Kiran and someone familiar lying there while bleeding out.

Rosalie. Her child.

"Ro-Princess Rosalie." She had to correct herself again, rushing over to the injured vampire princess and kneeling beside her. "Kiran, step back before she lun-" before she could finish her sentence, the intimate scent of silver mixed with blood was killing her nose. She quickly covers her face with her hand, her eyes scanning the woman's body to check out the other injuries. She noticed that none of her wounds were healing due to the silver stuck in her blood. If they don't get it out quickly: Rosalie will die in seconds. "Damn, just my luck." She hissed, afraid to touch her do the silver. "Bella doesn't need to see her child in this state." When she said her instead of ours, her heart clenched in agony. They adopted this child together-she had every right to say it. Now, she's in a new body, which means Rosalie isn't hers at the time. It means that Bella isn't her wife in this life.

Brosc Sloan | 675ish | Male | Bisexual Poly | Harem

M: Suya (Dep)

Suya often got stressed. Whether it was from big meetings or small mishaps, Suya was always one to overthink things. Although, once he can finally let go, drop the false act of being fancy and well put together, Suya is such an amusing man to be with, his tone much more relaxed and can often be playful and feisty. So feisty. For someone who acts like every other noble prick who is quiet, regal, and oh so stuck-up, when he lets loose, he really lets loose. Especially when it comes to swearing.

Rarely ever swearing, Suya only swore when he was truly enjoying himself. He always tends to curse with such libido and with such breathlessness that really drove Brosc crazy. Normally, Suya’s words were like silk to the ears and brought water to anyone’s mouth, but when he almost seemed to moan out small swears was better than any music Brosc had ever heard of. Brosc was willing to do whatever it took to hear the sweet sound just a little more. Maybe that was why Brosc chose to shove him against the other shelf, but the moment was just blurring in Brosc's mind so much so that he could not even remember what led him to make his actions that he had made only a few seconds ago.

As Suya grew hissy and fussy from the hair pulling, Suya let yet another curse begin to slip and his whole body shivered against Brosc’s and Brosc loved the feeling of Sayu shrinking weakly from the affection, loving the chance to claim every inch of him. All of a sudden, Suya hoisted himself up, wrapping his legs around Brosc. Brosc was shocked momentarily but was absolutely not complaining and he only kissed Suya deeper as he slid a hand down Suya’s side to help support him and also to have an excuse to grab his thigh.

That was when Sayu decided to get all bold with Brosc all of a sudden, grabbing his tie, daring to kiss him so delicately and teasingly, and acting innocent of his crimes. Sayu had this stupid, cocky look on his face as if he was so great for being feisty, defiant, and… maybe a little hot that Brosc could feel a growl linger in his throat as he held himself back from getting him back for every little thing he had done so far. Brosc was so close to shutting Suya up between his sentences or biting his finger as Suya had the audacity to taunt Brosc by grazing his finger across Brosc’s lips so sensually, but Brosc decided to see how this was going to play out. Not like Brosc had much of a choice because not a second after this, Brosc had briefly lost control over the situation.

Brosc would never admit it, but he did love it when Suya was disobedient and resisted even if that also entailed Brosc growing slightly embarrassed by what Suya did to him because fuck the biting was definitely hot. Gripping onto Suya tighter, Brosc sighed shakily into his neck as he was bit. Shivering with delight, Brosc glared at Suya as he gave this evil grin, a terrible smirk. Brosc could only huff at Suya’s words as his face was held before Suya continued speaking and wrapped his arms around Brosc’s neck.

Brosc was quiet for a moment, deathly so to the point where it would cause anyone to shiver with fear, before he suddenly burst into a low chuckle. “You are so cute when you think you have any control,” Brosc said with a deeper and lower voice, as if raising his voice would be too much of a treat for Suya. “You must think you are hot shit for being able to bite me, but— newsflash—” Brosc lowered his voice as he pulled back on Suya’s hair harshly to tilt Suya’s head back a bit and get more access to his neck— “I bite too and I bite a lot harder.” Brosc smirked as he let go of his hair and smoothed a hand down to his neck. “Not to mention, you know my class, yes? You know how proficient I am in my abilities.” Brosc’s lips hovered on the opposite side of his hands, his words grazing against his skin as he pressed Suya more into the wall. Feeling a slight pinch in his hand from using blood magic, a blood collar formed around Suya’s neck and Brosc tugged on it as he began to talk slower with a growing predatory and lustful gaze in his eyes. “It would not be hard to tie you up with blood ropes and do whatever the hell I want to you if you start misbehaving again. You would look damn good tied up right now too…. So how about you be a good little boy and we won’t have any problems, understand?~”

Before Suya could respond, Brosc bit harshly into his neck with enough force to break skin even with the use of his human teeth. Only a few drops of Suya’s blood bubbled up, but by the great fucking moon above Suya was delicious. Brosc’s mind was all jumbled with thoughts of the other as his grip tightened on Suya’s thigh and he tugged the collar on Suya’s neck. Pulling Suya closer, Brosc could not help but leave another hickey, another bite, and another hickey and more kisses between each because Suya was just so… addictive. Brosc had probably thought this a million times before but the sentiment still stood: his lustful eyes, his delicate skin, and his swearing whenever he got excited or loved the feeling of something gave Brosc such a rush of dopamine and pleasure that just kept Brosc coming back for more.

“You are so damn good…~” Brosc purred before pulling the man into yet another rough kiss, savoring the taste of Suya in its entirety.

Blood Gifter - Kiran Eros|M, Human|27|M: Queen consort and Zypha(ind) Umbria

"Mind patrolling the halls for a bit to ensure the queen's," Kirans patroness paused as if she didn't quite believe what she was saying before continuing almost begrudgingly. "safety from the other vampires?" He gave a quick nod agreeing to patrol a bit. Anything to get away from the growing tension between the three women. This is one of the many reasons I'm attracted to men. Plus it helps that men where hot as the fabled high lords ofhell. These thoughts crossed his mind as he start walking away. Before he got more than a foot the amethyst eyed woman added "After this whole thing is over-I'll teach you the basics of blood usage." Kiran nodded again adding a slight smile. Finally some hands on experience. Turning on his heals he started patrolling the hall of the abandoned castle. His golden orange eyes scanning the darkness between torches.

Hearing a snap of a twig through a nearby window he glanced outside towards the noise. Several canines patrolled the grounds and were stalking by the window. They payed him no mind within the confines of the building. Not wanting to be at a disadvantage when him and Umbria had arrived he had combed the entire castle and grounds until he had a strong familiarity with it. The hounds seemed to be heading towards the green house. Which Kiran kept well away from as shifter territory was not the best of places for humans to end up. "Not unless you want eaten instead of payed" he spoke out loud to himself quietly as he hadn't seen anyone for quite awhile.

As he turned the corner of the next corridor the torches winked out and the walls became washed in darkness then they flicked back to life. Like the shadows bad swarmed the flames down to winking out then those same shadows lost their strength. Kirans heart beat picked up but he stayed calm, sure grip wrapping around one of his axes unsheathing it from its place at his hip. Regular real blade as he wasn't stupid enough to bring a weapon of silver with him to this vampire ran castle; nor would he ever own one.

Turning the next corner he heard something slide then hit the ground soon followed but something harder hitting the floor. Kiran got closer and he could see a form of a human or vampire against the far wall. Even his human nose detected the sharp tang of blood from where he stood with his guard up. They were injured and he spoke up announcing his presence as to not startle them. "Hello? Are you alright " he undid the clasp on his shoulder securing his white furs setting them on the ground so his movement was less obstructed. "May I approach you, I'm no threat just patrolling for Jucticar Umbria as they get ready with the Royal consort before the meeting taking place here soon.

He had gotten much closer and realized with a start that he recognized the woman on the floor from one of the photos on the wall he had just been at with the vampires. She must be important. He got within five feet and lowered his tall frame to a kneel. Seeing the vampire before him had a severe bleeding wound to the abdomen. She was barely standing and hit the ground again. He reached a hand out to lift a part of the garment to inspect the extent of the damage. Realizing at the last second that putting himself within grabbing distance of even a weak vampire was a stupid stupid move. His eyes met hers in that brief moment Kiran noting the hungry look in her eyes the need to feed to heal, as he felt the air shift around him. Torches winking out compley as the shadows decended. Muttering under his breath just one word.

"fuck"

🍷- Mauve SinClair -🍷

High Lady|F, Born Vampire|500-600|Hypnosis|M:Harper(dir) Rosalie(dir) Bella(ind)

Mauve and the Princess locked eyes and both had feral grins upon their faces. Mauves own power she locked up tight not using a single drop of it towards her friend. She didn't need to when it came to the young vampire woman who saw her for her with out the need for added flair. Not many once humans had the luxury of being friends with her but this one had earned it from the day they had met.

"Lady Mauve" Mauve watched her closely as she greeted her taking in every minor cut and drop of blood dripping from her what the seven hells had she gotten into? "and who says the dogs were the ones to drag me in?" Rosalie outstretching her free arm to add to the dramatics, she clutched some form of container but Maeve payed it no mind; her business was her own. "Perhaps I arrive of my own free will to bear witness to the fun this meeting will bring." Mauve very much doubted that but let out a chilling but kind laugh approaching her and coming to a halt.

Getting close enough to breath in the smell of gasoline and fire Mauve spoke. "Well my friend after all this time you arrive and you look like absolute Hell, did a train run you over on the way here? " she knew better than to try to say anything about her loss of her mother and that she would dismiss her. So she stuck with their friendly banter.

"Darling, Mauve. Horrid as always." Rosalie chuckled as she looked her up and down "Your face still shudders my undead heart."

Winking at her comment as she hugged her. A very rare gesture from the Hypnosis female. "I'll take that as a compliment you heathen" her smile meeting her eyes which where darkening by the second. The many vampires and humans energy filling the castle sending her migraine reeling. The high ladies garnet orbs flicking to the human mumbling something about needing to go somewhere. Rosalie quick witted as ever invited the blood gifter along with them. The Princess looked like she was going to faint and Mauve became worried for her but knew she wouldn't care for her to fuss. As they walked down the halls. The two vampire talked about Roses night adventures and Rose indeed confirmed a train was involved, and just shared each others long over due company. "I can very much believe you did something that reckless but badass Your mother is going to be impressed but I agree will probably kill you. " Mauve face lit up at the fact about the train as she had guessed correctly. Not long after Rosalie stopped and bowed in departure off to find her Mother obviously struggling with pain. "Don't die on me Little Thorn I'll send the soul clan to haunt you before you ever have the chance to haunt me"

Watching her go and sending a silent wish to the goddess she made it to her mother in one piece. Before she glanced at the human standing their awkwardly. Baby blue eyes and brown hair suited the human before her. They where around Mauves height naturally but her heals and overall aura made her much much taller. Especially now that the reigns on her power she had placed while with Rosalie where now gone. The human was covered in bite marks obviously she had just come from a patron. Or had been with one for awhile. The scent from the bites still present. Mauve wasn't normally one to care for the feelings of her meals but this one looked like they had seen a ghost and she preferred her human food not sad as it tasted bitter. Fear was a better taste but soothed and calmed blood tasted even better. However the Ruby flames particular favorite flavor was blood that had been coursing through the veins of someone in the midst of passion and lust. This was not one of those cases she observed with a disappointed sigh.

Not in the mood or place to be picky Mauve smiled. Fangs showing as she slowly walked over to him every click of her heals like a count down. Waiting until THERE. He blinked and suddenly she was a hairs breath from his face. Hand slamming into the wall next to her targets head. A crack forming slightly. A black painted sharp nail lifted the humans chin up to meet her eyes. "What's your name human?" She smiled with a sickly sweet grin as he answered. "Well Harper I'm very very hungry and your the first thing I have found. I am going to feed from you but if you stay calm I shall just feed from you and I don't have to finish you off completely." She pulled her power back a bit to see if they consented without her forcing it. She was pleasantly surprised with a nod yes. "Very good" she drawled seductively if it had been one of her lovers she would have added a good boy or good girl to it to watch them squirm but she didn't in this case. "When my food struggles I tend to get"... she paused dragging her nail from his chin down his neck to point directly above their heart. "Unpleasant."

Mauve began sending her energy in waves towards Harper. Full of calming energy with a mix of confidence. To start to erase what ever was troubling them. She continued this till they calmed to the point she was satisfied that they were at least gonna enjoy this. She pulled them towards her slightly and her nail accidentally scratched a mark across their arm. The sent of blood hit Mauves nose instantly and she brought her hand to her mouth licking the blood from her finger. Mauves dark eyes that had been almost a rust color sparked to life. Flashing bright Ruby red for a moment. Without warning her fangs sunk into the soft skin on harpers neck. Pinning them to the wall with her hand on their chest holding them still. She drank deeply at first still sending floods of good emotions towards them. Carefully listening to his heart beat as she ate.

Once she could hear the steady heart beat start to slow down she drank slower. She was so hungry though. The smell of fresh blood was intoxicating and she started to drink fully again. Mauve you promised to let them go. The thought flashed in her mind and she mentally sighed again. Fine I am a vampire of my word. She released her fangs from his throat. Eyes blazing red. Pulling a black silk handkerchief from a hidden pocket of her black gown. Offering it to Harper she licked her lips clean. Her lipstick she had managed to keep impeccable. She pointed down a south wing where she could sense other humans now that her power was back to capacity. "Their are other blood gifters that way I believe." Blood gifters knew how to clean themsleves up and regain their energy; and based on the many marks in this one she must know the drill. "Pleasure doing business with you Harper" she purred before turning and walking away. Now fed she was practically radiating energy.

🐈‍⬛ Alexander Felis Irvine🐈‍⬛

High Harem || Male || Shifter/Vampire || 350s || M: Queen Vivienne (Ind) Jayco & his dogs (Ind) Queen Zylpha (Ind) Darvorin

Alexander Felis Irvine did not wake up as he had been hoping to. In fact, he woke up with a bit of a headache. One of those fuzzy ones - like there's a cloud stuffed into your brain. Or a really fluffy sheep. Whether it was low blood or that still, suffocating feeling of loss, he wasn't sure.

He had been surprisingly close to Queen Vivienne. And shocked by her assasination. Sure, a few Vampires didn't like how she had helped out those lesser than herself - but he had been oblivious to how bad the situation had become. Surely no one could have hated her that much? Obviously as a member of the High Harem they had developed a bond over time - him absolutely admiring his Queen. But since that whole thing with his ex, plus the missing Sire, and his ahem, slightly excessive flirting, she had taken him under her wing. A friend and guardian, it was only a shame he hadn't properly thanked her for any of that, before it was too late.

Still, he could sit and mope and be all dramatic or he could go meet the new Queen. If he played his cards right he could probably cling to his position or find somewhere better. To be honest, he couldn't really see himself doing anything else, aside from 'emotional support' as he had done. Besides, he wasn't even sure if that would be what the new Queen would want - she probably had no idea about the whole Vampire Hierarchy. Several Vampires had moved around already, reaching for whatever scrap of power they could get. Thank the Gods he had no ambition... for basically anything. Because with all the movement between Ranks, there seemed to be trouble on the horizon. Something he should probably do his best to avoid.

Unsteady as it was, and as strange as it seemed to be having a new Queen - he was determined to be useful and maybe even welcoming to her. It had been long enough that he'd forgotten what it was like when he first turned - he couldn't imagine what she was feeling. And with the additional duties of learning to be the Blue-blood Queen. With luck, perhaps she would be determined to make this unusual fate work. Choosing the most dingiest, ancient castle for the meeting may have not been the best idea - but it would be bringing everyone together. Hopefully any issues could be addressed as soon as possible and they could all go back to whatever they were up to. Normal. He wanted normal. Or as close to that as he could get as a Vampire.

But for now, he would need to go to this meeting. Getting out of bed, he changed into all black, bringing up the collar of his coat. He slipped into his unusually clean, heeled boots and sighed, trying to figure out what the hell to do with his wavy hair - which currently held about a dozen knots. After about fifteen minutes, he gave up on the whole hair situation and finally getting his hand through it without getting caught - and headed out to make his way to the castle. Usually he wouldn't make this much effort but for once he was a little concerned about the whole meeting. It would be best to be prepared for anything.

He had spent the morning exploring the crumbling castle - in his cat form obviously. The cool stone felt nice against his soft paws and he felt his head clear a little. Or as much as his kitty brain could. It wasn't the prettiest of places - all slowly breaking stone and frustratingly high windows. He could smell enough mice and such... and also the reek of dog-scent. Great. That would be fun later.

Wandering down the hallway, he was intrigued by the interesting scents coming from what seemed like a catacomb of some sort. At least the dusty place held a few interesting secrets. Turning a corner, his whiskers twiched as he felt something in the air. He was caught completely off guard by an annoyingly pretty face.

Darvorin lifted him gently, scratching perfectly behind his ears and smiling sweetly. Oh shit. He was enjoying this. He wasn't fast enough to stop a quick purr escaping his throat. His eyes widened a little at Davorin's soft giggle, the soft ears taking in every millisecond of it. Yep, he had missed that. Was it still the same? He immediately felt bad about lying - not lying said his fuzzy little unorganized cat brain. It wasn't his fault Darvorin hadn't recognised him. He wasn't obvious about his favourite cat form, but it was still his most used one. He never made it obvious that he has transformed, but it wouldn't be that hard to tell if someone was to spend time with him. With the tabby stripes and long fur that matched his hair - it was almost a notible likeness.

Ah, but Felis hadn't probably controlled the cat form while they'd still been together. It was too long ago. His silly cat brain had a way of recounting the past and applying it to now - he had to remind himself that it was a while ago, longer than even a 9-lived cat. Sure they'd seen eachother on the occasions where every Vampire gathered together, but since then nothing. Another six years wouldn't changed Darvorin's feelings towards him - whatever they were. Aside from that, it would be unwise for a Shifter to reveal their main form to the other Vampires. His wasn't that distinguishable from a regular tabby-cat.

He shook his head, whiskers twitching as he made his way back through the corridor. Yeah... he'd take things as they came today. Probably first on the agenda would be to find a way to get to Jayco without having to get through his little canine army which he knew would probably eat him on sight. As a little challenging distraction. They maybe he'd investigate this new Queen.

Harper Carnell | 21 | Genderfluid (she/him) | Pansexual Ambi | Blood-Gifter

M: Rosaline, Mauve, + Finley (dir)

Normally, Harper would have noped-the-fuck-out of this situation entirely long ago, not being paid upfront, a creepy crumbling castle where no one would hear Harper scream, and no one was there was no one to even tell Harper where to go. With the amount of red flags flying, Harper would have rather taken the loss of paycheck and booked it. It would have been safer that way especially since Quill nearly drained him dry earlier this morning. Harper was already feeling lightheaded, but Harper was somewhat special in the sense that they regenerated blood much faster than most people. Whereas most people took a week to recover from two feedings, Harper was one of those rare people who could be fed off of each day of the week. It was not healthy for him and this castle event was absolutely going to need him to take an emergency elixir or take several pills, but if it was for money, it was worth it.

The only reason Harper was staying was because the vampires here were supposed to be loaded and because the promise of money afterwards would push Harper even closer to her goal.

Watching the two vampires interact, Harper could not help a small smile. Their interaction reminded Harper so much of their younger siblings: constant insults with a deep care for each other. It was wholesome to watch them interact despite being in a more strange, murder-y fashion with undead jokes, but Harper was certain she ruined the moment by speaking up. Both women turned to her and she could have sworn she was about to be killed at that moment. The taller woman who had been beside the dogs had silky white hair and an aura as dark as her black eyes while dressed like a plague doctors with their crow aesthetic who stabbed the illness out of her patients with a sword to their neck while the other was a blonde woman who wore tall, black heels, almost entirely hidden by her regal, black and red dress, that amplified her height to be taller than the woman and used her height to glare down at Harper menacingly with bright red eyes. Both of them look prepared and willing to kill Harper with a flick of their wrists.

Then the crow woman spoke.

Great.

Normally, when a vampire suggests going on a walk, it is not the fun kind where there is nice conversation and booze but the kind of walk where you are pressed against the nearest surface and drained of blood. Harper could not really say no anyways. Sighing softly as he took off his hand-knitted scarf and shoved it into his coat pocket, the bright red of the scarf still poked out of his jacket as he nodded and smiled, trying to look like he was genuinely excited to walk with them. They probably could tell Harper was faking it but if Harper acted like someone more willing and obedient, he might get a nice tip.

The women took much longer strides then Harper and walked so much faster despite being only a few inches taller than Harper. Harper held her bags tighter as she trailed closely behind them, taking in as much of the castle as possible. Harper was generally good with directs and not getting lost, but the castle was akin to an inescapable maze with elegant chandeliers aged and rusted from time, red carpets eaten by bugs that draped over wooden flooring that creaked under the steps of the three, and an unsettling feeling of being watched and followed. Maybe that feeling was just caused solely by Harper’s fears manifesting yet again as she checked over her shoulder and peered around every turn as if expecting someone to jump out and grab her. Harper tried not to eavesdrop too much— oh, who was she kidding, she loved to eavesdrop— but as she listened to the two converse, Harper tried not to gasp or pipe up when the crow woman talked about blowing up a train (although Harper would not have spoken anyway because she was wary of the consequences of interrupting). Harper generally did not care about her client’s plights, but the woman certainly seemed hurt. Drops of blood spattered and stained the floor and carpets and, although Harper could only see the back of her head, worriedly studied her as if looking worriedly at her could help the vampire.

Suddenly the crow woman stopped and bid a farewell to the blonde woman before turning to Harper— yes, Harper. She looked him all over with intensity and Harper could now see the wounds on her stomach much better as he came to the realization that she probably needed more blood than what would be healthy for Harper to give. Harper dropped his duffel bag and prepared himself by tilting his head to the side to allow the woman more room to bite him, but, surprisingly, she was not going to bite him and instead gave him advice to be careful and know his limits. Harper stared in confusion before laughing, almost certain that this was a sick joke of some sort, but it was not. The crow woman was serious. Harper was still unable to suppress a laugh although he managed to get more of a grip on himself enough so to respond.

“Don’t worry, I know my limits well enough and know not to push myself!” Harper chuckled with a playful tone even as some confusion still lingered in his eyes as to why this vampire would be telling him this. “Thank you for the concern, but this is not my first feedin’. I can handle myself fine because I’m a big girl who takes care of herself!~”

“We may be vampires, but half of us still care about the wellbeing of those willing to give their blood to us.”

I guess I have just never been lucky enough to meet anyone from the good half.

“It was a pleasure meeting you too, crow lady~,” Harper just said with a playful smile as his only response while he watched the vampire quickly shuffle away.

The blonde vampire sighed with a tone of disappointment while watching Harper and he instantly realized his fault. Most blood-gifters have realized that vampires tend to have a preference when it comes to their prey. Vampires either like their victims calm, fearful, or lustful, the most commonly favorful of them, but never sad, nervous, or worried. To attempt to lighten the mood, Harper smirked a more charming smile as he lowered his jacket to expose his neck and shoulders as she inched closer, step after step.

“Do you want a taste?~” Harper purred, but before she could even finish her sentence, bam! she was pressed to a wall with the vampire’s hand slamming against the wall by her head and making Harper flinch. The vampire’s nails were black and sharp like talons and she gently lifted up her chin, causing the blood-gifter to shiver. Harper’s cocky smile faltered briefly but she had to try and keep up her smug appearance intact. “The name’s Harper, but you can call me whatever you want for the time being!~”

Good boy.

Dollface.

Cutie.

Human.

Pet.

Harper had heard it all before so it made no difference what she was called.

“…Harper…”

Odd. These two vampires— these two women— were different then most. Maybe this was just one of those tactics, especially since the vampire threatened to basically kill him if he did not behave. Getting the hint that she preferred someone who was less fussy and more obedient, Harper nodded meekly to her request for blood.

It was not like Harper could refuse anyways.

Hating how much she melted at the two words the blonde vampire mumbled, Harper had always been a sucker for anyone who gave her the slightest compliment, even if it was just meant to manipulate her. As the vampire dragged a finger down her chest, Harper remember just how exposing their shirt was as it allowed for the vampire to never break contact with skin as her nails traced down to Harper’s heart.

It took Harper a moment to realize that— oh… oh not again— the vampire was a hyponisis and was going to play with his mind to make him more fearful or lustful. God, Harper hated it when people played with her emotions, especially with those two as she had such awful memories with both. Biting her lip as her whole body tensed with anticipation, Harper was pleasantly surprise when everything went… calmer. Things were no longer so… noisy. All the worry about Quill, about money, about everything… it just faded. It was so nice. Pressing into the woman in the elegant dress with a quiet whine, Harper desperately wanted more of this peace— this uncanny yet blissful stillness, not even noticing as the woman cut Harper’s arm. Harper watched through half-lidded eyes as the blonde woman licked the blood off her fingers and her eyes grew brighter.

There was a study of some sort that Harper heard on the 96.9 radio station: vampires have this chemical that they release in their bite to give their prey a more pleasurable feeling. Of course, if there is a great amount of fear present, this chemical will often not take affect, but if the target is taken by surprise, they will often be left wishing for more like the bite itself is a drug. That is why a lot of humans become blood-gifters; once they have been drunken from, they chase that addictive feeling again and again. It honestly explained a lot too. The amount of times Harper had seen people and even himself fall victim to this addiction was immeasurable. Some people gladly die as a deflated blood bag and others consider getting bit, even if the circumstance was morally questionable, as a blessing from the goddess. Harper used it as a justification for why he stayed with people like Yulia, Damian, and Quill for so long.

Harper gasped quietly as she was bit by the woman, sinking into the wall as she tugged gently on the woman’s shirt to pull her closer. Harper could feel her emotions being manipulated, but it felt too good in that moment to resist. Whatever the woman was doing, Harper wanted more of it. Harper’s legs grew shaky and their head spun but it almost felt fun in a way, like, she might die but at least the ceiling is spinning in a really pretty way.

Taking deep, shaky breaths, Harper came back to his senses as the pale vampire let go of his emotions and released her teeth from his neck. Harper still kept himself pressing to the wall as his head spun, keeping his eyes down on the ground to center himself better. Harper looked up to the woman as she extended a handkerchief to him. It was black silk with patterns poking through the edges.

“Thanks,” Harper mumbled with a soft chuckled as he carefully wiped the blood from his neck before returning it to her, not mindful of the fact that his blood was now clinging to that handkerchief and that blood still dribbled down his arm. The vampire briefly told him where to go, told him that it was a pleasure, and left. Harper cupped his hand to him mouth to call after the vampire who never gave him her name with a smile. “The pleasure was all mine!~

Harper kept smiling just in case she looked back until Harper was sure that the vampire was gone. Harper sighed and slowly sank to the floor. Searching through his bag, he pulled out a red pill container before downing two or three of the vermillion and metallic pills inside. They had some nasty side effects and could do some serious damage, but taking them helped boost the amount of blood Harper produced so hopefully they could take being fed on once or twice more. There was supposed to be a lot of vampires so Harper was worried that he might—

BAM!!

At the front of the castle, the heavy metal doors had been thrown open with ease and a tall, muscular man with thick, dark hair that covered his bloodshot eyes looked around with a low, manic laughter. His eyes glowed red through the strands of hair that fell into his face. A twisted smile was carved into his face as blood chains jigged and clanked in his pale hands. His ears had gone pointed and his nails were so sharp that they dug into his own flesh as he nose twitched for blood, drool pouring from his mouth as the smell grew more powerful. The man was getting closer to his prey. His laugh grew louder to the volume that it scared the birds from the barren trees outside. His teeth grew sharper and his whole body looked elongated and stretched to unsettling proportions like a ruined painting or human skin that had been push and pulled into directions till it no longer looked human.

“Haaaaarpeeeeer…~ I know you’re heeeeeere… Come out, come out wherever you are!! I’m gonna find you…~”

Quill was at the entrance and he was hungry for blood.

“Fuck!” Harper did not have to see him burst through the doors to recognize his voice, his body going rigid with fear. Harper could not help but freeze before the loud stomping of Quill’s boots started to grow closer. Snatching her duffel bag off the ground, Harper stumbled down the hall, the whole world fighting to pull Harper to the ground as the floor began to spin like a record with each step and cause everything to be blurry because of the pills.

“I smell you, Harper…~”

Harper nearly collapsed going up a set of stairs as he desperately clambered up them, panting as he banging into the side of a wall that did not even seem to be there. Harper made a loud thump as he hit the ground, tripping over… something? Was it a carpet? Was it a wood piece? Was it— That did not matter right now. Quill’s boots seemed to shake the house as he approached, getting closer and closer with each stride as Harper shuffled forward, only being able to crawl for a moment before finally pushing himself to his feet.

“Fuck fuck fuck…!”

“I can heaaaar you, Harper!~”

Which way was South? Harper looked left and right down a fork in the hallway as his whole body shook with fear before picking a random direction in hopes of finding an exit to the maze— the inescapable, castle maze that Harper could find no exit to except the one that spelled his end. Harper’s mouth felt dry as he hurried down the hall only to realize— fuck— dead end. Harper looked back, trying to undo his mistake, but—

“I see you…, Harper.”

Harper shook his head, whispering “no” under his breath as tears bubbles in his eyes before backing up into a door at the end of the hallway, hoping to delay the inevitable for just a little longer as Harper threw open the door and shut it behind him. Harper quickly threw himself against the door to close it shut, looking around the room with blurry eyes.

“Please, you— You gotta help me!” Harper begged, not even able to see any features of the person in the slightest as she kept herself pressed against the door as if that might stop Quill from entering. “I-I don’t have much to give you but—”

Harper felt a searing pain in the side of her neck as a hooked blade sliced through the wooden door. Harper stumbled forward and fell onto her hands and knees and the door was ripped off it’s hinges with ease. Flipping onto her back, Harper tried to push herself away from Quill with her trembling feet and one hand as the other hand clutched the fresh wound on her neck as Quill held a kusarigama in his hand, licking the blood off the scythe like blade at the end of the long chain.

“Come to Daddy, Harper…~”

Harper prayed that, if a diety ever existed, they would help Harper now.

Finley Neil Blake | 526 | M | Gray-Demisexual Ambi | Low Lord(Hypnosis) | Mentions; Vivienne(Ind), Tatsuya(Ind), Other Vampires(Ind), Harper(Ind+Dir), Quill(NPC/Dir).

Meeting Outfit; https://postimg.cc/gallery/9j73117

--

Frankly, Finley didn’t really care about what happened to the old Queen. Let’s start by clearing that up. Finley didn’t really care about much, if he were to be honest. His feelings were about as static as they could possibly be.

--

Now, that isn’t to say that Finley didn’t see the cons. He did, and that was why he at least understood why it should be cared about. He had nothing against the late Queen, he had nothing against the new replacement. He did, however, recognize that this whole issue was going to become a problem.

--

Which was why he had come to this meeting, hosted by the archduke Tatsuya Montcrioux, despite the fact that leaving his house was a whole routine. Despite the fact that he couldn’t care less about the other vampires here. Because he knew that in a place full of people that cared, someone that didn’t would be the only one unbiased enough to be completely factual and honest.

--

But since the meeting hadn’t actually started yet and he had no true desire to speak to anyone, whether they be of his class or not, he ended up finding his way to an empty room upstairs.

--

The room was mostly clean, which was almost relieving given the crumbling state of the castle. The room itself had been one at the end of a hallway and even had its own balcony inside it. His pristine white outfit was finally free from dust particles too it seemed, which was always good. So thank the moon above for that at least.

--

Finley walked around the room, brushing off what wasn’t clean, making sure the ponytail his silver hair was in was still tight and symmetrical, making sure his entire outfit wasn’t getting dirty or wrinkled or anything. That would simply be unprofessional and unlikely to help in how presentable he was. Especially as a low lord.

--

As soon as the room was truly cleaned though, Finley found himself with nothing to do. So he took in his surroundings, as he usually did.

--

The room was just as monochrome as everything else he saw nowadays. But a certain gray there hinted at red, and another gray there hinted at brown, and another hinted towards a green. Learning colors based on what shade of gray they were had been difficult, if Finley was being honest, but he had managed. After all, at least he still had the icy sky blue of his eyes.

--

Speaking of that one color he still had, the monochrome was starting to become slightly straining. So, he pulled at the bracelet he was wearing and practically engraved the image and color into his mind for a few seconds. Just to keep the strain away for a moment.

--

After, he went over to one of the counters in the room, and looked about at the random little trinkets strewn about. Finding cabinets for them and organizing the room wasn’t as hard as one would’ve thought it would be. It was a pastime of his, after all. To organize.

--

So organize; he did. He went about and figured out where the different forks, spoons, plates, bowls, glasses, and other eating or kitchen utensils on the counter were supposed to go. Then, he looked around and found a bookshelf in the room. Thus, with nothing else to do, he decided to go over to it and rearrange the books.

--

Luckily enough, all of the books were in quite good condition, so he could read the titles, the authors, and see how many pages there were. Which all went into how he organized them. Alphabetical and shortest in length to longest in length. This ended up taking longer than the organization of the mini kitchen that the room held. Which truly brought into question what kind of room this was. After all, it had a balcony, places to sit, and a mini kitchen within it. Though, frankly, the choices in furniture and decor color scheme was horrid. Red, green, brown, and black? Absolutely horrible. Even the gray shades didn’t match well enough to look alright in his eyes!

--

When he finished with the bookshelf though, he wandered back towards the door of the room. There wasn’t much else to do in here. He could always go through all of the rooms and tidy them up? Surely they needed it at this stage of the decomposition, weathering, and erosion process.

--

But as he stepped towards the door, he heard a sound. The sound of someone bounding up stairs, heavy footsteps and stumbling. And he paused, for what else was he supposed to do? This was the only room in the hallway, so either whoever it was would turn around or they would end up in here. Finley would rather neither but as it wasn’t up to him, he supposed there was no point in that.

--

Especially with the fear, despair, and desperation he was beginning to be able to smell on whoever it was. So Finley stepped back a bit, and watched the door with a raised eyebrow. There was no point in leaving the room when whoever it was out there would be forced into this room.

--

He was proven correct when a frantic- Frantic human burst into the room, slamming the door and keeping their body against it to keep whatever was scaring them out. Finley’s brows furrowed, people only did that when someone was chasing them. He knew that. He knew that well. The human looked around, and looked at him. They had goggles that showed a gray that should’ve been blue, would’ve been blue if Finley could see the color.

--

They were in a large coat, a gray that hinted to maroon. But other than the coat, they were in shorts and a small shirt that Finley doubted had real sleeves. Both of which were actually shades of gray, true gray. Not the kind that strained his eyes because he knew they were supposed to be actual colors.

--

But the person’s eyes were what caught his attention most. Blue. The same blue that Finley could see. Could actually see. They were blurry, with tears in them, pleading as they tried and failed to focus on him. It was familiar, Finley found it within himself to resent that fact. At least a bit.

--

Please, you— You gotta help me!

--

Finley could hear another person, this one smelled more of anger, passion, sadistic nature… Vampire, whoever it was smelled like a vampire. Finley looked at the scared human in front of him, trying to think through the pros and cons.

--

I-I don’t have much to give you but—

--

The human was injured. By a blood weapon, which meant the vampire was a blood class. It sliced their neck, going through the door and causing blood to go towards him. To land on his pristine white outfit. He didn’t notice as the human stumbled to the ground, trembling, going to their back and trying to scurry away from the vampire.

--

No, Finley stared down at his white jacket that was now impure due to blood getting splattered on it. He stared at the blotchy gray (that should be red, he hated that it wasn’t red, why wasn’t it red?) spot, eyes refusing to move for a second. He forced them away in time to watch as the vampire licked the human’s blood off of the scythe on the end of the kusarigama in their hands.

--

Come to Daddy, Harper…~

--

Harper? That was the humans’ name? That meant that they were probably a blood gifter. Which meant this interaction was immediately more important than Finley had first thought. But even more so… This was far too familiar, and Finley refused to allow anything to happen.

--

Finley’s eyes narrowed, pupils turning from black to white. The vampire’s thread was fairly thick, certainly closer to the thicker end of the spectrum. Not that it mattered, what with how experienced Finley was. His pupils went from white, to a glowing silver as he locked eyes with where the thread entered the vampires’ pupils.

--

And all Finley could see was white for a moment, as he established connection, fighting the vampire for control mentally. Creating a mental block that wouldn’t allow the blood class to move to harm the blood gifter. Harper.

--

As soon as Finley had that connection, he spoke. His voice was clear, firm, strict. With no room for debate or negotiation. “Quill. Use your class ability to heal… Harpers’ neck now. And then leave this room, find a vampire, any vampire, and tell them what you just tried to do. Do not spare a single detail in trying to make yourself look better. You tried to attack, perhaps even kill, a blood gifter of higher rank than yourself simply because they decided they didn’t wish to gift you blood anymore. If you decide to come back, I will not hesitate to have you use that balcony over there to put you out of commission for a few hours at the least.

--

Finley kept eye contact, staring the blood class down as his ability took hold of a more secure rooting. As he took away any free will the vampire may have had while listening. He would not allow this Harper human to get injured more. “My word is your command. Begin.

--

And Finley watched as Quill did exactly as he had been told to do, and when the blood class had left down the hall, he held out a gloved hand to the blood gifter named Harper to help them up. His own hand swiped and patted at the blotch of blood on his once perfectly white jacket.

Davorin Merle-Jorin Renwick
Soul Class Vampire | High Lord | 348 | Mentions : NPC Spirits & NPC Deities, Lovel

The young man began following the little girl spirt, who he decided to call - Bluebell, why? Because of the flowers in her hair. And she led him deeper and deeper into the catacombs. And it was getting darker and darker, quite spooky, even by his standards. And she pointed to a blocked door. A large cabinet blocking the way, and he shrugged - guess she needed him to move it, and so he using his strength pushed the cabinet away. And an old iron door was revealed in its steed - not ominous at all, he thought to himself, and he watched as Bluebell went through the door to the other side. And so he followed, opening the door - a loud and ear grating creak came begin it, obviously because it had been years since someone attended to the nearly rusted hinges on the door. And as he entered, he immediately noticed the scene before him. Scattered black salt was all over the ground, with a tipped over golden bowl that still held a lot of it, and not to mention a shiny diamond and old matches. He frowned ; any normal vampire wouldn't know what this was, but he did. And this was odd.

What was an abandoned scrying ritual doing here?

He looked at the spirit in confusion. And he noticed that she looked quite sad. And she finally spoke, "A Soul Vampire like you came to do a scrying ritual for Queen Vivienne, however as he was in the midst of the vision - someone came and murdered him. They say what he saw is what lead to his death. I was his daughter, and witness to the crime - but I never saw the killer's face."

Darvion was silent at this development. No wonder she wonders this castle - her soul was bound here. If she was killed, did that mean, her ashes were disposed of? "Where are your ashes." He said to the girl, and she looked at him in shock.

"My ashes were buried in the garden. Why?" She responded meekly to him. And she came a bit closer, it seemed she hadn't thought of that.

"Once I complete this ritual. I promise that I'll revive you. Your killer was foolish to have gathered all your ashes and bury them and not destroy them. So this means you have a second chance at life. Do you trust me?" He said earnestly to the spirit.

"Yes, yes I do." She replies softly and she said, "you must complete the ritual. It's contents were never told to anyone. And now you're here. You have to do this, for your people." She said.

Darvion nodded, and stood. This was going to take a lot out of him , so he's better be prepared for the worst case scenario. And so be began by scooping the black salt back into the golden bowl - and fixing it back on the podium it had fallen off of. And he then got diamond, and placed it center inside the bowl of salt. Here comes the painful part, he thought to himself, and he found an old knife. And with a quick swipe he cut his wrist, and then let the blood pour over the diamond. Afterwards, he took a lighter out of his pants, and then set the salt on fire.

The reddish-gold flames crackled slowly as it traveled around the bowl. He then watch the fire lick up his blood and the diamond, but nothing happened. Had he done it wro ⎯⎯ his thoughts were interrupted by a loud whooshing sound. The torches in the room began glowing an eerie light blue color, and then the reddish golden flames transformed before his very eyes. He then sunk to his knees and closed his eyes. And he could hear the fire as it begin to grow louder, and louder until he could hear it. The voices, the sounds of souls.

And then he could feel them entering his body. Taking control over him, it was so invasive and it hurt like hell. But he needed to go through this to find out what happened or what would happen. And that's when he lost consciousness. The darkness surrounding him, his body was vulnerable like this and he could only pray to the Vampire Goddess he didn't die in this state.

━━━━━━━༺༻━━━━━━━

When he woke up. He knew exactly where he was, he was in the Spirit Realm and there was a tall woman standing before him. Her eyes were wrinkled in sterness, and a quiver of arrows were in her back and a boy rested at the ready in her hands. Her posture was proud and mighty ⎯ it was obvious she was some sort of warrior in this realm. One to be respected and obeyed. Her dark hair was braided into an intricate bun, and from the way it shimmered he swore he could see the stars within them. Her jewelry was bright and golden, as her robe appeared to be a lively alabaster color with bright golden trim, and to fix the look some golden sandals. She didn't seemed surprised by his arrival, so that was good ⎯ had he been expected or something? But there was an air of seriousness to her, the way her green eyes washed over him with a certain careful and wary nature : he would need to make a good impression on her.

"Child." She spoke with a commanding tone, "the Goddess has sent me in her stead to deliver the message that you seek. Do you wish to head it now or return to your plane of existence without it? As this will take a lot of your strength to see, and it seems you are a bit worn at the moment." She spoke with a sternness, yet there was the tad bit of concern in her voice that he appreciated.

He have a respectful bow to the dame, after all she was a Goddess, "No, my liege ⎯ I wish to hear the message now, it is of upmost importance. I will deal with the consequences, but I must assure myself the safety of my kingdom and its people." He spoke eloquently, and still holding his head down.

"Very well, prepare yourself." Was the response he got back.

And then he began floating and the scene around him changed. He could see the moon and stars clearly . The moon was very bright to him, and seemed to be glowing a faint blue color. That was odd ⎯⎯ and then he noticed a regal woman basking in the light of the moon, her white hair was pinned up and her fist was raised to the skies. And below here were vampires of different classes rallying in support of the Queen. But then, the scene turned dark and ominous, shadows crept everywhere and the sounds of snarls and snapping teeth could be heard. The beady eyed creatures held weapons of pure silver and were mercilessly slaughtering the vampires : but the vampires were holding strong, it seemed that the Hunters would be returning. That was concerning to him. He could feel the toll of the vision slowly taking hold, and then a loud booming voice announced,

"There comes a day when the moon turns bright, the newcomer shall usher forth the restoration of balance and the return of monsters."

And then quick as he had been there : the scene changed. He was met with the gates to the castle belonging the deceased queen. And there was a shadowy figure of a woman, and she was opening the gates to the castle and guiding other ravenous creatures within the castle. And he frowned at that revelation. As the creatures scoured the castle, they found the queen and killed her. The womanly figure laughing at the death and being quite enthralled by it. And he could see distinct points in the teeth of the figure, and then money given to the Hunters. The only thing left to be heard was the cacophony of laughter, and then a voice speaking again from some unknown position.

"It shall be then, when the day is longest, a sudden death shall bring a time of war."

At that statement he sort of blanched. The Queen's death had been so sudden and caused such a disarray between the classes. Had this death already been foretold? Someone knew of the importance of this vision and was killed off - that was why the vampire died . Someone knew that there was a snake amongst the kingdom, that were plotting a way to overthrow the crown and take it for themself. This was disturbing, eerie - he could feel his chest burning with rage and anger at the revelation. This pain and suffering could've been avoided but it was thwarted. He fell to his knees a bit at the sudden weight of pressure on his head, and he began massaging his temples and focusing his breathing. He hated this part; the part when it became draining and dangerous.

He gave forced shaky breaths. And it didn't help that the room was spinning around him, and the ground began to rumble and quake beneath him. The sounds of shouting and outcry could be heard. And their was the shedding of blood and disaster all around. What in the everlasting hell? He thought as he watched all around both vampires and humans began to die. However their was a specific death that drew his attention ; it was highlighted by the splattered blue blood, and the face of the person very clear : Zylpha. Oh fucking hell, this was bad, very bad. The death of another Vampire Queen - and it seems she would lead their Kingdom to ruin as their was a scattering of the vampires after her death and a white flag of surrender held. And those on the battle field were slaughtered and those who ran went into hiding.

"Then comes a day when the mountain shrinks, a surrender shall bring the downfall of two kingdoms and bloodshed of blue blood."

He then frowned. Downfall of two kingdoms? So both vampires and humans would fall? A war of assured mutual destruction? So saying that the mighty mountain that was Vivienne shrunk, due to the mantle being held by the New Queen. And a surrender from the vampires? This was all confusing and insane, and that's when he felt himself gaining consciousness and he was trying to fight it. He needed more - more information, more context. This was nerve wracking and scary to deliver, but it was his duty to do so.

He could feel his strength had been drained and he was not pleased by this. It was so hard to get up, and he groaned in annoyance and pain. There was a blooming headache growing , and he could feel it growing even worse with each step. And not to mention the sharp pain in his eyes, and the blurring of his vision. He could hardly see in front front of him, and he was trying to find something to grasp on, and he found the wall. And he slowly trailed along it, and he then tried to be confident and walk down the hall as if nothing was wrong. But that was terribly wrong, it felt like his body was on fire - and he was grimacing at that, but he tried fo keep a calm demeanor. His eyes would definitely be hauntingly brighter than normal, a clear sign of the usage of his powers which would be noticeable for a while.

He wasn't paying attention and he found himself bumping into someone. They were definitely taller than him, and he could definitely recognize the scent of the person. They were quite addictive and intoxicating - their form being tantalizingly beautiful. Darvion had to fight the urge to sink his fangs into their neck right then and there, but his exhaustion and hunger was screwing with his mind. And he could feel himself starting to black out, and he grabbed his head groaning and the sharp pain - and he could feel darkness consume him, the dizzying spinning and swaying of the floor of beneath him. And with that he fell into the arms of the person before him.

Jayco | ? | M | Harem | Shifter

Mentions: Garvin and Riskel (dir.)

Has the world been rotating this slowly? Has the time finally caught up with him? Has his time to go arrived? His eyes held no fear that many others have-he doesn't fear death. He worships it. He craves a release from suffering from such complex things. To help him not experience torment ever again. Everything inside him was too much to handle-it was too strenuous to understand. Everything about him felt dead, both inside and out. It reminded him of the old him. It brought back memories of his past self locked away in a dungeon, speaking to rats and his brother.

Furgetivly speaking, he was back in his dungeon. His mind was playing tricks on him. It was taunting him and calling him weak for not moving on. His vision was growing dark, with his chest rising and falling instantaneously. Forming in front of him was a pair of eyes, though they weren't the eyes of someone like him.

The eyes were staring deep into his own, a gleeful look shimmering within them. Slitted pupils quivering ever so violently, and Jayco could've sworn that he felt something breathe on his face. It was hot and unpleasant against his cold face. The smell of its breath wasn't pleasant to the senses, and his nose scrunched up in disgust. The odor of the breath of air reeks of death and blood. Whose blood is was left unanswered, with Jayco unconcerned about it.

Liquid of an unknown substance drips on his face, and he blinks once to try to clear his vision. After such results, what was standing, well sitting above, appears to be a canine. Its mouth gapes open as it begins to pant-drool dribbles down its stained teeth and falls directly on his face. The glee was quick to be replaced with hunger while its nostrils flared. Jayco's eyes were stationary as he gazed upon this wolf, the two having an unwieldy staring contest. The wolf's pulsating eyes, with Jayco's steady ones, express the complete opposite of the other. The vampire's chest felt heavy, finally causing him to view what was happening below. Still, his vision was disorganized, leading him to squint his eyes again. He kept them shut for a few seconds before opening them, staring at what was happening to his chest.

Claws, but they weren't normal. They were curved-rigged edges to deal extra shredding damage to the flesh. Be as it may, Jayco didn't feel pain as the tip of them were literally in his flesh. Noticing his lack of a reaction, the creature on top of him snarls, "Why not scream?" Sinking his nails deeper in, still, Jayco didn't react. In response to this disappointing creature, he rolls his green eyes before verbally conversing, "I don't feel pain, remember? High-pain tolerance. Not to mention," raising both brows as it removes its claws from his torso, "you're a figment of my imagination. I never did believe in things like the bogeyman." His dried lips pull into a snicker while he tries to get up. Roaring in anger, the beast slams the palm of his hand against the vampire's chest to force him back down.

"I don't like being taunted, cretin." The intensity of the drooling increases, with Jayco's face repugnantly wrinkling at the mess his beast side was making. "Have you ever tried a breath mint, you mangy mutt? Your mouth has a horrid whiff and killing my nose further."

The creature wasn't impressed with his idiotic sense of humor, causing him to slam his mouth shut close to Jayco's face. "Quit with these childish games and feed me already! I'm close to devouring you whole." Jayco's fingers traced along his beast's coarse black fur while rubbing along its muscular human-like limbs. Green eyes scan the creature's bodily features, regarding its humane features, and he grins in surprise. "You're starting to appear humanistic, Riskel. Have you been going to the gym? Or maybe," the man's grin turned devious, "you're starting to be affected by human nature." As a retaliation to his words, the beast roared to silence him. Meanwhile, Jayco lets out a bored yawn-profession feigned incuriosity.

"Have you always had such anger issues, Riskel?" Eyes of that of the forest held nothing, while the pair of amber possessed a seething fire. Jayco brings a calloused index finger to Riskel's nose and then presses against it. "Boop." He laughs while Riskel's furry brows falter to a scowl. "Annoy me once more time-that finger will be gone for good."

The man shrugs his shoulders, "Everyone's a critic." Riskel snorts, merging back into Jayco in a blink of an eye. The emerging process used to be painful as it involved splitting your soul into two: one of man and the other of the beast. Over time (and the entirety of the isolation event), it became less harrowing until it didn't phase him anymore. He rubs his chest, with his wounds gradually healing. Everything was going fast once again, and he didn't realize that the fireflies were still there. His head felt groggy and scrambled like an egg-his vision was returning, but his eyes throbbed in pain. "Damned beast." It felt nice to be left alone again, to have his voice and feelings without someone interjecting their stupid opinion into everything. It was annoying-bothersome to Jayco. It made him feel like whatever he says holds little-to-no importance. It made him feel unwanted. By the Vampire Goddess, relinquish him of such unpleasant feelings. He rubs his face with his roughened hands, accidentally slicing the right side of his face.

Everything he experienced with Riskel was real. He felt it all: Riskel's breathing, the disgusting drool, and the claws damaging his body. That wasn't good-his beast was starting to come into existence and becoming difficult to handle. No wonder he's getting hungrier by the day-it explains all those times he begins to black out while hunting. Jayco's emotional control wasn't the best and was hard to handle. Now with Riskel appearing more, such emotions would be doubled in everything. He can't deal with his emotions well like the others, which means dealing with Riskel's was going to be worse. The thought alone was making him angry. It was frustrating Jayco to the point he wanted to holler at the top of his until his throat tears.

His teeth grind together, accidentally biting the interior side of his cheeks. Tasting his blood, he disregarded that and kept going with the teeth grinding. His eyes started to moisten as tears dared to form. Oddly enough, he never cried as he deems it as weak. He hates feeling weak since others will take advantage of that. Quickly he covered his eyes with his singular arm to suck up any tears that dared to leave without his permission. Jayco rejects such a thought and expression of spilling such worthless liquid. Hiding behind his frustration was fear. It was the fear of getting locked away by those saying they love him.

"Love," he scoffs, "such a dumb feeling. An idiotic mindset that many turn to feel self-worth." He would've continued with his rant, but the stench of a human and some unknown beverage entered his nose first before the talking part.

Hey, there stranger, how ya doin’? Hope this place isn’t a ‘Wolf Devil’ only zone, ‘cause I would just absolutely hate ta leave now. Can’t find shit in the main place, an’ ya kinda look like ya could use some company anyways. That, an’ some good ole’ alcohol.

Such doltish words leave the other's lips, and somehow, Jayco finds it charming. As the other started to approach him, his body instinctively tensed up, and his eyelids narrowed in distrust. He observes every body movement the stranger was doing-the hair on his arms stands on end. His heart was beating fast, and his killer instincts were telling him to rip his throat out. All of a sudden, the nauseating-scented man haunches over him, and panic sets into Jayco's brain. "Why the Hell are getting closer to me?!?" Jayco's body was a trembling mess in developing fear and murderous rage-fingernails digging into the destroyed couch and forming new claw marks within the stuffed fabric. Inspecting the man's grimy, tanned face to detect any sign of enmity. He'll be damned if he was quick to trust this random, drunken stranger. His distrustfulness regarding the stranger was due to his bloodshot eyes and the bags right beneath. Ridiculously enough, this made Jayco steadily interested in this person. Could it be someone he could relate to? Someone who understands where he's coming from? Someone who'll be there for him for support?

"Ugh," shaking his head as he grew too hopeful at such an idea. He waits to see if he'll do anything else, and after a minute, Jayco huffs while his body relaxes. "You're a fool to approach me in such a state, mortal." Not afraid to hide such a bitter tone from this new arrival-slowly leaning against the couch while crossing his legs and setting his arms on the top half of the couch. His new focus was on the bottle in the other's grasp, and without waiting for a second, takes it from him. Twirling the body around to check it out before popping it open to take a sip from the glass. It only touched his tongue for a millisecond and he recoiled, he wasn't supposed to taste anything. "Hmm, Riskel." Muttering to himself before returning the man's drink.

"Jayco. Don't bother asking for the last name," resting his head on the couch, "I don't carry one." He sits there while he formulates a plan on what to do with this human. Shifting his eyes to the deceased bear, a hum in his throat. Without a warning given, Jayco pulls the taller man towards him and sets him on his lap. His arms coiled around the man's rectangular frame, pulling him closer to his body and inhaling his scent. He wasn't the most pleasant of fragrances, yet it didn't sway Jayco's mind. Ridiculously, Jayco had to bend the other down a bit so he can reach his neck. His mouth spreads open like he was preparing to take a bite, instead, he grazes his teeth teasingly along the other's neck. Preparing and relaxing his body for what lies ahead.

His teeth bite down against the dirtied, scarred skin of the stranger. Even so, he didn't bite down hard enough to draw blood but did leave a visible marking on the skin if you were to stare at it closely. Jayco licks his lips to moisten them before placing a kiss over the bruising he caused. What's strange is that this kiss was gentle and loving. Extremely odd coming from a man like him. His nose was twitching while it adjusted to the new scent and adapting to it. Gradually, the other man's scent didn't bother him as much, which was wonderful on Jayco's end. His hands move to grip the man's side, dragging his claws along his shirt and tearing the piece of cloth with ease. Teasingly dragging said claws along the surface of the skin-trying to locate the sensitive spots around his body.

Out of the blues, a purr rumbled in his throat, which was animalish. Predatory, mainly. His eyes were glowing with pride like he found the juiciest of prey to devour. His lips came into contact again. This time on his jawline, his kissing was getting hungrier each time they meet. Taking another bite on the jawline-marking that too. His hand moves up to caress the other side of the man's neck, pushing it closer in Jayco's direction. It escalated when Jayco finally bit him, and blood slowly poured out. He gave it a loving kiss, his lips coated in the red liquid. Jayco presses his claws presser further along his skin, unhurriedly gliding them to slice only the surface of the flesh to not cause too much bleeding. He pulls back to examine his work, licking his bloodied lips and teasingly staring at the man in his lap.

He wasn't satisfied-not yet. Moving the hand on the neck to the back of his head, pulling him forward into a passionate kiss. Nibbling the bottom lip, making it bleed too. Greedily Jayco licks it up, giving the blood-gifter a charming smile, "My apologies. I never did ask for your name. How," kissing along his neck while giving it gentle lovebites, "rude on my end."
