Tysta | Male | Kilo Dog (Siberian Retriever) | 48 | M: Arrow, Hero, Ginger

After prancing like a fool for a good while, Tysta deemed himself ready. So, simple enough: his mission was to spy on Beta. He could do that, right? That seemed pretty simple. He flicked his gaze over his shoulder, flicking his tail in slight worry. It occured to him that it would be the first time doing something alone; usually, he would at least have Arrow or Ginger at his side. But surely it was a good thing if Gin trusted him enough to send him alone?

But he couldn't shake the slight desire to have a friend at his side. Perhaps one of them would follow him.... wait. No. No, no, that would be bad - Tysta could not afford anything to happen to one of his friends. With a sight, Tysta trotted forward at a steady pace - a pace that any dog could keep up with, if someone wished to last - minute accompany him. The scenery changed, and Tysta slowed. The city had begun to harbor faint scent trails of Beta dogs. The thought jolted him into reality. He continued forward, muscles tense, ready to run at any given moment. He breathed in deeply. As he wound his way down the familiar roads, it was clear Beta dogs had padded upon these icy lanes only a day or so ago. He paused to collect himself.

(aprupt ending, sorry - waiting for Arrow to follow as planned :D)

Arrow | Female | KILO dog | Terrier cross | #47 | M: Tysta, Hero, Ginger

Arrow watched Tysta until he turned the corner, ears flattened in annoyance. Why couldn't Gin have sent her with Tysta? Wasn't she always saying that they worked better as a team? Glancing back at Hero, who wasn't looking in her direction. Ginger had called him. Good.

She made her choice.

Like the flying projectile she was named after, the little terrier dashed into the tunnel before anyone could see her. Unlike most dogs, she felt comfortable in the cramped, damp tunnels. It was almost in her blood. She remembered one of the humans vaguely saying something about terriers and tunnels.

Letting out a small, sharp yip when her friend came back into sight, she called out to him. "Ty! Ty!"

Tysta | Male | Kilo Dog (Siberian Retriever) | 48 | M: Arrow, Hero, Ginger

Tysta whirled around the sound of his name. A little ball of energy was flying towards him, moving at an incredibly swift speed for her stature. Arrow. "Ari!" He called, tail whipping the air gleefully. He bent down a little, grinning. "I'm so glad you- wait." He drew himself up attempting to glare down at her sternly, but to no avail. Tysta couldn't be mad an someone for a scant few seconds at the most.

"I thought you were suppposed to be in training. Care to explain your absence?" He spoke in a teasingly formal tone, as if he was her commander. Of course, his swinging tail gave away his act. If anything, he would follow her; not the other way around. He drew his face upwards in amusement. "This is a very secret mission that nobody else was supposed to know about. But I very much just told you, didn't I?" He wrinkled his muzzle in vague amusment, and partial horror.

Well. Guess there's no choice now - she's coming with.

"Aw, you can come - long as you stay alive. I could use some company," he said, flashing his stunning smile.

Hero // Male // Kilo // 39 // Wolf/German Shepherd // M: Arrow, Ginger

Hero heard the sound of rushed pawsteps behind him, and glanced over. This was not the sound of excersizing dogs, but rather the sound of someone trying to get away. Sure enough, Hero spotted Arrow's tail disappearing when he looked. He hugged softly and turned back to Ginger.

"It seems Tysta is no longer on a 'one dog' mission." He said calmly, eyeing his commander. He figured that Ginger had probably noticed Arrow leaving as well, but then he wondered why she hadn't stopped the little dog.

"What do you need me to do, commander?" He asked, his silky tone unbothered. If Ginger didn't stop the idiotic dog from leaving then it wasn't his problem.

(Sorry this is short!)

Ginger | Female | English Pointer/Broken Cull | Kilo | 46 | Mentions: Tysta, Arrow, Hero

If anyone were to look at the female, they would think she was a metal statue. Everything about her was still, frozen, solid; her eyes expressionless, her tail in a seemingly relaxed position, her ears just there, not alert, not pulled back, just where they would be.
To anyone but Ginger, she was emotionless and still; but to Ginger herself, her mind was racing, roaring, her mechanical muscles twitching with impossibly small movements.
Arrow. That foolish little pup.
The little white dog had run off. The exact thing she didn't want, the exact reason why she wanted to give her something to distract her, the exact reason why she would punish Arrow. and Tysta if he didn't send her back.
It was the stupidest thing the little terrier had done, it wasn't even brave, it was stupid. it could put both of them in danger, two stray dogs were more suspicious than one, and Arrow wasn't careful enough, she didn't know how the outside world worked, she could jeopardize Tysta's mission.

As her thoughts raced and raced, her body gradually started twitching more; she didn't notice it at first, at least not till her metal limbs started clinking against the concrete floor, which grew louder by the second.

Soon her head was twitching, turning, making her ears flop around her head.
Not again.
Her programming had been activated by her anger.
Her twitching continued for many more minutes, and in those moments she had no control over anything, she barely had the power to think.
When it was over her breathing was ragged and her muscles shook, though this time through shock and exhaustion.
Minutes past in silence, she noticed the dogs had stopped running to watch her, some with worry, some with fear, and others with curiosity.

Taking a deep breath Ginger straightened herself and glared at the others, "did I say you could stop? keep running!" she barked, her eyes flashing with a primal anger. She knew she shouldn't be letting out her anger on the others, it was Arrow who had angered her, not the others, but right now she was mentally unstable. the malfunction had taken its toll.
Turning to Hero she glared, not at him, more at everything, at herself for letting that happen.
"Follow me, I don't want anyone else thinking they can run off" She glared at the others who had rushed to start running once more, all of them were looking dead ahead, afraid to look their cull trainer in the eye.
She started making her way to one of the empty rooms, "now Hero" she commanded, her voice telling him everything he needed to know. Disobeying would result in punishment. Severe punishment if her mood had any say.

Zadolt | Male | Australian/German Shepherd mix | Foxtrot | 28 | Mentions: Commander Hoffen

He growled quietly under his breath when his commander told him not to go off on his own. What, did he think Zadolt wanted to be of interest to the lead cull? If so, he was very much mistaken. He looked closely at Hoffen, almost glaring but not quite, so as not to get in trouble. His expression looked vaguely... nervous. It mistified him, as Culls were said to not have emotions. He started to get unfocused, thinking about how his commander could have emotions while he wasn’t supposed to. He refocused on his commander as he started talking again, promising himself to think about it later.

As the scene around him shifted, he blinked his eyes to adjust them, letting them scan his new surroundings for the best way to run. He hated being on the running team; It wasn’t that he didn’t like running, rather it was the fact that the ‘prey’ team almost always lost. Their chances of winning were slim, especially against Regiment Bravo; Yet Zadolt hoped that they would win. Forcing his mind back to the task at hand, he started preparing a plan for when the training started. No doubt that the Bravo dogs would go after them at full speed; Yet he knew it would be better to preserve his energy, to wait until it was really needed.

Maze | Female | Wolf Husky mix | Foxtrot | 33 | Mentions: Commander Hoffen, Foxtrot

Maze had noticed Anfall's strange tone when she answered her question, but didn't have the time to reply as commander Hoffen had called them.
She followed his orders, maybe not as sharp and perfectly trained as those of Bravo, but better than some of her regiment, a more relaxed -yet alert- posture compared to those of Bravo, who all stood alert and stiff, a bit foolish looking if she was honest. though maybe that was just how Maze saw it.
She followed Hoffen without question, again maybe not as orderly as Foxtrot... but she learned that relaxation was better for her skill set than constant tension.

She listened to Kämpe's instructions and watched as the room turned into the city; thanks to her wolf and husky genes the cold didn't bother her much, nor did the snow, she had big paws, fluffy enough ears, sharp eyes -though probably unneeded- and a powerfull nose. This was her element.
The Chief Cull was as unsettling as ever; Axel was scary, Hoffen was intimidating... but Kämpe was something else entirely... commanding, scary, powerful... even Hoffen seemed unsettled by her... It had taken Maze a while to figure out, but since her training started Hoffen was always slighty different around Kämpe; most times she couldn't tell, and the other times she thought she imagined it... but something about the female was unsettling her commander.

She nodded to everything Hoffen said, though she had one question; "Commander, if I may propose an idea?" she'd almost never spoken to him before... most of her regiment barely heard her voice... maybe it was the simulated weather giving her confidence...
"I think we should split into teams of two and spread out left and right; Bravo will be coming to us, so we could circle out and then in... cornering them and making them the prey... We've never done something like this... it could surprise them and we could win..." though she would never admit it; speaking infront of all these other dogs did make her slightly nervous... but Hoffen wanted them to win, to proove themselves, so she had to do this.

Hero // Male // Kilo // Wolf/German Shepard // 39 // M: Arrow, Ginger, Tysta

Hero calmly followed Ginger, unfazed by her anger. He listened quietly until Ginger had finished her commands then nodded slightly. He stood, looking as though he was about to walk off, then he paused.

"You should try to calm down, commander." He said quietly. "You have every right to be angry at Arrow, and at Tysta, as you know he will not sent Arrow back, but do not take your anger out on the others. I can stand your rage, if anything I am used to it, but the other dogs can not." He paused thinking of the panicked expressions of the training dogs when Ginger had yelled at them. "Do not rule in anger in hatred commander Ginger." He warned quietly, his smooth silky voice filled with quiet meaning. "It never does seem to work out well.

A sudden memory hit Hero, despite being brainwashed he still got flashbacks every once in a while, and some memory's just could not be removed. Before he was taken he was part of a wolf pack, his father pure wolf, and alpha of the pack. He had also been Hero's personal torturer, he had ruled his pack with fear, everyone hated him, but were too terrified to do anything.

Snapping out of the flash back, Hero turned away, but not before a flicker of pain darted across his face, the only emotion Hero had ever really showed. He turned quickly, hoping Ginger hadn't seen and hurried to do his duty.

Anfall | Female | Wolf, Alaskan Husky, Doberman | Beta (Bravo) | 21 | M: Kämpe, Hoffen, Foxtrot, Bravo, a few others

Kämpe turned away, vanishing to goodness knew where - Anfall understood that she wasn't leaving for good, simply waiting to throw a wrench into the chase, to watch, to scoff in disapproval as they all failed. The intelligent female turned away from the cull, however, keeping one ear permanently pinned in that direction, while the other swivled, attempting to pinpoint any sort of noise.

"I assume Commander Hoffen will be ambitious to impress the Cheif Cull. So, we need to worry about counterattacks; about being outflanked. Individually, we are all far better combat trained than most of them; we should split up in a wide sweeping motion, first getting as far away from Foxtrot's general area as possible. And then see if we can drive them to a corner, or take them down one by one. The only thing.... yeah. Just, make sure you know where one teammate is at all times. Anything to add?" She inquired, hoping for someone else to throw in their input. Although Anfall was quite confident in her own opinions, she believed it absolutely neccessary to hear from the rest.

(short, sorry)

Orden | Female | Half Blood, Border Collie Cross | Beta (Bravo) | 22 | M: All

Orden flicked her cold eyes to Anfall. The female was clever. "No." She said, voice brisk and final. "There is nothing else. We should stay in groups of three. Anfall, Pfiel, we'll group up. Let's go." She said, turning away before any further argument could meet her ears. The female had been watching, observing as the event had unfolded. She had noticed the tenseness in Hoffen as he cast his gaze upon Cheif, his burning desire to do well. Although Hoffen was smart, cautious, he would be ambitious, she reckoned. So would his subordinates. The easiest way to end this was to take them down one by one, striking silently before they had a chance to react.

Outflanking was indeed a good way to go; especially if they stayed hidden all the while, as if they were the one's hiding; it would throw them off balance. Keep them on their toes. The only thing, was they would be naturally defensive as a result of fear. It could most certainly lead to overraction when they were inevitably attacked. So they would have to be precise, efficient, so as not to get in a skirmish. That was to be avoided at all costs. Orden did not wish to injure herself today. The female continued trotting forward, and she felt the breath of Anfall at her tail.

"Don't stop moving," Anfall said softly, yet firmly. "Make them think they are surrounded." She said. Orden inclined her head only slightly in affirmation. "Once we find one dog, we outflank him or her, make them panic, perhaps call another to the rescue. Then our prey would double. For now, we wait." She said, voice cold and direct. She vanished into the darkness of a shadow, cast by a looming building. She had chosen this spot on purpose. She knew she was upwind; but she could not be attacked from behind, and she knew that Anfall and Pfiel were watching her flanks. Yet she wasn't visible; she could lunge and pounce at a moment's notice, without Foxtrot even understanding her relative location.
