Her ears laid back in fear as she got low on the ground. She yelped as blood splattered the grass, her brother had ran into the battle. Her eyes wide as she hid in the grass. She watched the fight between the wolves and cat like creatures. Her fur was standing on end as she yelped, a mountain lion found her. She snarled in fear as she maneuvered out the cats grip. She sprinted across the meadows and into the trees.

He watched his sister bolt across the area and into the forest. He snarled as his claws raked the large cats muzzle.

Blood covered his claws as the animal fled. He ran towards the other wolves lunging at the lion running at them. He plummeted to the ground tussling with the cat. His heart raced crazily as he fought with the large cat. He yelped as the cat tore into his shoulder. He snarled in fury kicking them off and raking his claws along the back. The cat charged at him again but he leaped up pouncing on the cat. He dug into the large cat staining his teeth as blood splattered from the cats back. He jumped off as the animal ran off. He panted heavily as his shoulder oozed blood matting his fur. "I've chased off two but, we can't run anymore off. We need to run and hide. My dens hidden in back of the forest dug into underneath a cliff side, it should be safe there." He stated in a rushed bark.

He carefully ran into the forest making sure not to hurt the female wolf anymore than she already was. He trotted slowly into the den lying her in the nettle patch. He walked out from his den howling to find his sister. Fallow emerged from the bushes with a small bark, "Your okay!" She wagged her tail eagerly, "Your shoulders pretty badly hurt though, ill go gather some herbs. Mother taught me the healing herbs for wounds." She woofed as she disappeared into the bushes. He sighed as he saw the massive wolf trample the tall grass, "The she wolf is in the den. My sister is grabbing herbs for her and our wounds." He stated seeing how the larger wolf looked at her.

She pushed through the bushes with herbs in her jaws. She waved her tail at her brother and the massively, huge wolf. She pranced into the den as she started mixing the herbs up. "Here eat this," She barked nudging a slimey mixture on a leaf towards her. She let the she wolf eat the medicine as she applied a different mixture to her wounds. She wrapped her torso with clover leaves and cobwebs. "Your wounds should heal fine!" She barked cheerfully as she exited the den to heal the others.

He waited patiently as he was treated by his sister, "Well, its not what I expected but its something." He playfully barked at her. She wagged her tail, "I love the company! Its nice to have more wolves around again!" She barked cheerfully as she went to treat the huge wolf's injures. He wagged his tail as his head turned to the pretty she wolf admiring his den, "Its nice isn't it? I enjoy the sunsets that shine into it in the evenings." He stated as his snout stared up into the sunset. His throat rumbled as he howled, the howl shook the tree limbs as the whole forest seemed to sing along. Soon enough Fallow joined in with her beautiful singing. His tail wagged eagerly as they sang in harmony.
