Ranks
Alpha female, alpha female is responsible of making sure the pack is well fed and that the pups are safe at all times
Alpha male, alpha male is responsible of patrolling his territory and hunting, occasionally he may stay back and help training the juveniles
Beta female/male, the betas are responsible of helping train the younger wolves how to hunt, fight, and etc. At any time may the alphas have to rest and can't fulfill their duties, they may step in.
Subordinates (sub), Subordinates are wolves in the pack who don't have a high rank, they are like in the middle. Their rank can change from dominant sub or submissive sub, depending on how dominant they are. These wolves are responsible for helping hunt, fight, and occasionally help train juveniles.
Omegas, omegas are the lowest rank of the pack, they are used to calm the pack down and stop fights, all juveniles that grow up weak or submissive take this rank. Omegas also look after pups when the pack is out hunting.
Juveniles (in training), juveniles are typically 2-8 years old, they are subs in training usually. They are responsible of learning the ways of their pack this includes, hunting, pack history, fighting, den making, and surviving on their own.
Pups, newborns aren't to leave the nursery till they are at least 1 month old. At of 8 months the pups will start training as juveniles. They are not responsible of anything yet.
History of The Rune Pack
The Rune Pack was started by two wolves each from a different pack, they ran far away from their packs and fell in love. These very wolves are, Talon of The Rowan and Trapper of The Snares. These wolves accepted loners whom came from strong packs, with the added strength the pack grew in numbers, yet one day, a thunderstorm hit, yet the alphas did not care and set out to explore their territory anyways. Deep in the forest, a maker was savagely devouring a deer with foul smell of crow food, this maker looked different, bigger, scarier. Talon of The rowan snarled as the rest of his pack joined him, ready to attack at the beast. The creature snarled back and leaped onto Talon of The Rowan and slaughtered him. Trapper of The snares howled in devastation, her mate murdered in front of her. Her ears pinned back as she boiled with fury, she pounced attacking the creature with her pack. The creature dropped down in defeat, their body shrank into a makers as they died. Trapper of The snares howled once more as she nuzzled her mates matted fur, the beta helped carry her mate back to their den and prepared the burial. The pack mourned the loss of their alpha as Snare stepped down from alpha to rest. The pack to this day mourns their loss.
