Enzi/M/African Lion/Mentions: Citrus, Azucena (ind.)

Enzi might have chuckled at Citrus's head popping out of the bushes, his powerful body hidden in the foliage, leaving him with a wild mane of brush and leaves. But before he could relax enough for that, and before he could answer in the affirmative the question posed to him, Citrus's head snapped towards another direction, and Enzi's startled gaze followed.

Not seeing anything in the treeline, Enzi looked in all other directions, sweeping over the hidden danger none the wiser, but all the more on edge. "What is it? Is there something out there?" He asked, his voice dropping to a register just above a whisper. He was met with silence, and when Enzi turned to look at Citrus again, he was gone. A flash of panic swelled in his chest before he realized the tigon had crossed the clearing, obviously looking for something. Or tracking something. Or trying to stay hidden from something? Maybe it wasn't so obvious after all.

Enzi tried to copy Citrus's hunting crouch, slowly and awkwardly padding in the same direction across the clearing. His footfalls felt heavy against the various leaves, branches, and brush strewn across the ground. Enzi had never had to do something like this in a serious situation. No time like the present, he supposed, trying to settle his racing heartbeat.
