I have been in many life threatening situations, but I've always put myself at risk when it came to these things. Like I once got out of safety to shove a whole bunch of little kids up a tree when dogs started attacking people; those are the sort of things I naturally do, but this morning was a whole different story.
I have been in many life threatening situations, but I've always put myself at risk when it came to these things. Like I once got out of safety to shove a whole bunch of little kids up a tree when dogs started attacking people; those are the sort of things I naturally do, but this morning was a whole different story.
It was a normal day, I woke up and got dressed to go to school. The bus came and mom snagged her daily hug and went to go talk with the bus driver. I always make sure to look left and right before crossing the busy highway I live on, even though the driver checks for us. The coast was clear, so my siblings and I made our way to cross the road and get on the bus; my siblings raced past me, playing as normal. I was lost in thought but my thought process didn't last long, my mom started screaming and I immediately started assuming the worst. I jumped out of the road and once I got to safety I see a car, well past the spot where I was standing seconds ago. I was in shock of course, and it didn't take long for me to snap back into reality. Never in my life have I ever heard my mom scream so loud and so high pitched, and my bus driver no joke saved my life. He jumped in front of the car causing the driver to slow, which gave me those few extra seconds of survival. Man, if I would've hesitated or looked around to see what was happening I would not be here.
I am sooooo thankful for my awesome, super hero, bus driver! He deserves a raise or something even better! I am definitely going to make his heroism known <3
My mind was so messed up this morning, and it kinda still is, every time I think of what happened my heart starts pounding like crazy. I am so grateful nobody was hurt, because what scares me most, is what if it was my siblings who were in the way? They wouldn't have moved in time, I know that they would probably be like deer in a headlight.
The driver claimed to have not seen the bus, but thats a piece of crap, and I'm just gonna say he was the very first person I have ever flipped off.
This was definitely a terrifying moment and I just needed to get it off my chest. Thank you if you made it this far in my epic journey through life! I really appreciate you for reading this :)
