I really just need a place to vent because I don't know what to do.

I'm in my third year of school, and aside from the occassional cold I NEVER get sick. Even when I do, I'm in bed for about two days and then I'm better.

I moved into a new room in August, and at some point I started getting sick ALL the time. Like at least once a month, knocked off my feet for a week straight. I missed classes, I missed work, I couldn't do anything. Went home for break and I was fine, came back and not even three days later, I nearly had to miss class because I'm sick again.

I slept on the couch in our living room last night and I felt better, which basically confirmed my suspicion that I'm allergic to something.

Went to the doctor today, he said "try a nasal corticosteroid for a few weeks and see if it works" but I don't have literal WEEKS to see if something helps.

Put in a maitenance request, who knows when they'll decide to come inspect my room.

I just don't know what to do. I'm so tired of being sick and missing class. I'm exhausted all the time, constantly have aches and chills and congestion, last month my lymph nodes were so swollen I could barely swallow. I can't keep sleeping on the couch because I barely slept, but until they decide to come check my room I don't know how I'm supposed to function

I'd have maintenance check for mold. I doubt if they find anything that they'd do anything about it, but this has happened to a few friends that got extreme mold sickness who had similar symptoms. Hopefully you feel better soon and that you find something to solve your problem

This is what I'm assuming. I've put in the request but my Uni is TERRIBLE at prioritizing things like this. It's been two days since my request and I haven't heard a thing from them
