Hi, I’m Finnley, but you can also call me Finn or Quasar, whatever you prefer!

I’m aroace/omnipanflux and genderfluid. I mainly use he/it pronouns interchangeably, but I genuinely don’t really care what you call me.

I’m into space and dogs and I enjoy music by Penelope Scott, Sir Chloe, Mitski and a few other artists.

I enjoy writing, roleplaying and art, along with character/world building and reading.

I have adhd, autism and bpd.

Before you interact:

I can get easily mean or hotheaded, especially if I’m upset in the moment. I’ll communicate if that’s so, but just do be aware.

My mental health is also in a poor spot right now, so I may not be the fastest at replying to private messages, or I may take unsaid breaks from the game for a little while to take care of myself.

About the pack:

I don’t really have any goals other than to hopefully obtain a custom or a few apples or just generally become successful despite the pain that it is on this game. I don’t explore other than for the fun of it but I do really enjoy breeding.

Lore:

The group of wolves started out with the single alpha male, Tavrin, who left his home after mass wildfires in search of more wolves and a new home. He was starving and struggling when he eventually ran into Selene, injured and exhausted. Together, the pair helped each other back to health.

Upon reaching the other side of the falls, Tavrin and Selene had run into a group of wolves on the cliffside, to which they bumped into Myrren. They conversated and quickly became good friends, and allowed her to stay with them.

Shortly after, while looking for a place to stay, the trio hit a new spot – the sanctuary, a place for wolves of any age to come for a few nights and hopefully be welcomed into a new pack. There they met Marlow and allowed him to tag along with them.

The group eventually found themselves at peace with a hollow tree beside a riverbend, digging out the dirt under the roots and turning it into a den, and then eventually a whole cave system for their group, each room being used for a different purpose.

The main cave:

The main cave is the central area of the den and where the entrance is located. It serves purpose to the whole pack, being where meetings are held, patrols are cast and socialising is key. The room is massive compared to others, able to hold up to fifteen wolves at once.

The prey rack:

The prey rack is just as it sounds; a cave full of prey, normally buried so rotting doesn’t happen as often. All prey is stored here and it is the second biggest den, identical to the relics room. There are different spots for different kinds of prey (woodland, aquatic, feathered), taking all wolves’ tastes in mind.

The relics room:

The relics room is where any and all things found by wolves are kept, normally valuable things that could be used as or for currency.

The elders’ den:

The elder’s den is where all older wolves may rest after a long life of work. It is the second most protected den, right after the nursery.

The apprentices’ den:

The small room where 2-year olds stay during their apprenticeship, which typically ends once they turn three.

The nursery:

The den with the most roots to keep it safe, covered in moss and smelling of warmth and care, the nursery is a place for queens and their pups to reside. Older, more experienced mothers may choose to stay and help care for the other wolves too.

Mothers and pups are expected to stay until the age of two, when they can be taught the ways of the pack.

The den is the most safely guarded and males are expected to keep it safe with their lives, their top priorities being first the alpha female, then pups and pregnant queens.

Fathers are not allowed to visit until their pups are at least two weeks old and the mother is healthy and strong. Even then males in the den are disapproved of, and most visiting happens when pups roam the den.

The wolves of the group also have different roles for different stages of life or different tasks. These roles organise the group better and help the wolves function properly.

The main patriarch/matriarch:

Basically the pair of alphas in the pack. These two wolves make all the decisions and take care of the whole pack. They have the most power when it comes to dominance

and their word is law.

The lower patriarch/matriarch:

The lower patriarchs and matriarchs are basically the betas of the pack. They live just under their main roles and influence their decisions. They are the first to take charge if something happens to their main role and are typically the ones to succeed them once they take their trip to the heavens. They are also usually the leading pair’s chosen oldest son or daughter and his or her mate or the oldest/most respected wolves in the pack.

The healer:

The healer is educated in all herbs and cures for wounds, diseases and anything else imaginable. They know it all when it comes to poisons and herbs, and their training takes longer than a normal apprentice’s, usually ending in the middle of the wolf’s 3rd year of age or as they turn 4.

The healer’s apprentice:

A healer will choose an apprentice for many different reasons; either they are getting old, the pack is too large, or any other variety of problem. The healer’s apprentice is a 2-year old wolf picked around the time of birth or after showing signs of disinterest or failure in being a functional packmate. Instead of getting the usual ceremony for their apprenticeship, the healer will do it themself.

The relic holder:

The relic holder keeps track of all the relics and protects them from anything that may endanger them, whether it be other wolves or anything that may destroy or damage them. They don’t need specific training, and relic holders are jobs held for a wolf’s entire life, up until they die. The next is chosen right before, or by the patriarchs and matriarchs. They also manage currency.

The prey holder:

The prey holder keeps track of all of the prey and is the leader of all hunting parties. They manage how much prey is stored, shared out or given away. They also typically are larger wolves, bred for defending the prey if need be.

The mediator:

The mediator cares for all wolves like their own, including the matriarchs and patriarchs. They stop conflict throughout the pack while still going on their normal duties as a normal wolf.

Queens:

Queens are any female wolf of any age that is expecting or nursing pups. They are one of the most highly respected ranks and are expected to be treated almost as well as the matriarchs and patriarchs.

Elders:

Elders are any wolf that chases or becomes of age to retire from their work as a packmate, whether that be because of an injury, a disability, age, or any other reason. They are also very highly respected.

Apprentices:

Apprentices are 2-year old wolves being taught the ways of the pack and everything about it. They are typically mentored by someone in their family, whether that be a parent, an aunt or uncle, a grandparent and so on. If the wolf has no relatives they are trained by the youngest packmate available to give the both of them experience.
