Who knows where they begin and end. There could be hundreds of them, but only two seem to exist at a time. The first Instigators to be known were Silver Linen (Check Bio) and Scales of Snake (Check Bio). Mercs: Only two Mercs seem to exist at once, just like the Instigators. The Mercs are not as uncommon of a sight as the Instigators are, the only issue is, once you've seen a Merc, it's already too late. Those who've seen a Merc have only lived long enough to tell the tale. The Mercs are like assassins. In fact, they are assassins, Hit-Wolves, some might say. They get paid to do the dirty work in other words. The first Mercs to be known were Whispers of Wind and Patchy Cigarette. Wastrels: The wastrels are the largest group within The Wastelands. They are the most commonly found. Some are killers, some are hunters, some are survivors, etc. Wastrels can be found anywhere and everywhere within The Wastelands and their skillsets and goals widely vary. Sentinels: Sentinels are those of old. The elders, as some might call them. They keep watch over The Wastelands and are the wisest of the many. They are commonly left alone. Whether they were previously an Instigator, Merc, or Wastrel, they are highly respected beings, though very few exist at once. Halfings: Halfings are the young juveniles to be found in The Wastelands. They aren't as protected as Youngling's are, since most see them as rising threats and already able to take care of themselves. It is very uncommon that a Wastrel Halfling makes it to adult age. Younglings: Younglings are highly protected within The Wastelands, and even fought over often. Certain groups, packs, tribes, or gangs will fight to raise Younglings as their own to strengthen their numbers. Most Mercs will refuse to harm Younglings no matter the cost, and most Instigators see killing or abandoning Younglings as a crime, despite The Wastelands being a lawless territory. |
