| Xy Sometimes being up-front with them that you are very nervous / have PTSD from past experiences, makes them a lot more accomodating in being gentle/calm/telling you what they are doing before they do it, and giving you options. |

| Xy I feel you. Almost every dentist that has -ever- touched my mouth has made it worse or did what they did, wrong. One of the things that helps me with the anxiety is just. Being very calm but very insistent on my boundaries. I want to talk to the dentist. If they're talking over me / don't seem to care about me / etc then.... you can always leave the appointment. Remind yourself that you're a customer and they're providing a service; and you have every right to hit the "abort" button at any point. Just knowing I have the ability to leave if I really need to, often helps me calm my panic response down. |

| @Yellow I am just enjoying my last day of freedom. I have training tomorrow and a tour of our new school building afterwards. I am suppose to attend open house later but I have no ride to...so...I guess I am not going. We have an all staff gathering Wed then school begins on the 25th. |

| Xylo I know the feeling of dread with the dentist. I got 2 teeth pulled and drilled into WITHOUT pain relief with an Indian dentist when I was 7 years old or so. I detest the dentist myself so I know how you feel. |
