Nah, slap some CP on your wolf and it will dominate PvP. You only need Battle, Resolve, and Agility for PvP. BE doesn't even matter, a wolf with just max battle can take down a wolf with all maxed fields at DG

Yep! People sometimes also use the free range as a temporary holding spot for wolves when they don't have space in their den. So long as the wolf was born in your pack and you retrieve it before midnight GT, you can get it back for 20 mush.

The use of star shards will be revealed as the event progresses. My theory is that we will need to try and prevent Solmare from stealing our shards, because in the news Eve mentioned that some NPCs can steal your stuff
