I know you said you're super broke, but if you have $20-$30, you can go to Michaels, and get a paint by number, and a set of brushes. The paint by numbers big ones are $15 and the brushes are $9 and if you buy them in 2 transactions there is almost always a 10%-30% off coupon on their website. Make sure you use it on the painting first as its a higher cost. My local store will let me use it twice but I also go in there quite frequently.
