When you make a "wish", you can set an amount of wishbones needed to complete it. If that amount is fulfilled the wishbones are converted into mushrooms in a 1:1 ratio

Sorry no one has answered your question yet! If you want to give your friend a wishbone, you can go to their den page and on their placard there should be an option to view their wishes

If you want to just give them the bone, you go to Relics, scroll down > enter their pack number and select the item you want to send and hit submit :)
