Yes to both. The Jump for your Heart always ended with someone who did not hydrate well and passed out. No one wanted to buy the cookie dough... I don't blame them something was seriously wrong with it... it tasted weird

we had something like that where all the grades ran 'laps' around the gym and each 'lap' was a dollar earned or something- i say 'laps' in quotes because there was a setup in cones that made it more like a labyrinth than a track- it was torture

I'm so glad it wasn't just something confined to my schools. And yeah, I get that, Rainbow Parachute always seemed to make everyone super competitive unless we were playing Popcorn with it.

And did anyone else's school do Jump Rope for Heart or the Yearly Cookie Dough Sales where you'd get a prize if you sold the most cookie dough from a catalogue?

I also have not heard of the Amoeba and Spider Ball, but it may have had a different meaning name. The Rainbow Parachute thing was awful, someone always got hurt darting under it.

Spider Ball is where a pyramid of foam balls is placed in the middle of the gym, a person is picked to kick them loose, and then it's played one of two ways: Freeze Tag rules, which is kinda self-explanatory, and the kind where if you get hit you had to go to the other side of the gym and be a prisoner. The only way prisoners could be "set free" is if someone hit the backboard of the basketball thing.

Amoeba was basically tag with science mixed in, lol.
