I understand that completely:) my mom hates the color red, and I use to stay away from it as a redhead, but now it's one of my favorites:) I haven't found a shade of red to go with my emerald yet lol, I think i'll do pink next.... maybe...... Palettes are a lot of work :')

I'm coming around to the color green myself! It's my mom's favorite and for years I didn't see the appeal and now I've randomly picked up an obsession with green + tigers (her favorite animals). Maybe it's genetic. xD
