Oh I didn't think of that! Teeth could be an issue. She takes the bit easily, so I'm not quite sure.

I've been trying different saddles on her, she's defo better in some, but we haven't quite found anything that clicks yet, if that's the issue.

A lot of pictures have been changed I think, the rabbits have had a different one too. I think it was an art style change, this one is probably easier for artists

My coach actually picked up some draw reins for her, I still need to learn how to lunge with them lol. Thanks - it's encouraging to know they worked for you!

I've started putting one on her! It definitely helps over fences. We've had a body worker out for her once or twice over the past few years and they've never said anything about kissing spine, so I doubt it's that! She's also not a bucker, which I've heard is a big indicator of KS.

She's been getting stiff and bunchy when I put leg on recently :/ might have to get the body worker out again.

I'd check for KS, then teeth, then saddle fit. If using a regular snaffle, try switching to a 3 piece too! Some have low palates. Head tossing is so frustrating

yeahhh lessons can be expensive, that might be why ^^' if you work at a barn, though, you might be able to pay off some of the lesson cost (that's what i do)

As someone who has a head tosser and was raised in the H/J world standing martingales are the way to go with a horse that'll hit you I the face. Have you had her back checked for kissing spine, when was the last time her teeth were done? Head tossing can unfortunately be for an array of reasons

Hi! I couldn't help but to read... I just got done working with my 15year old green broke Gelding, I bought him 2 months ago. He also was a major head tosser & not engaging his core. I started lunging him with side draw reins wrapped under his legs & back over the top of my saddle. He very quickly learned to drop his head to relieve the pressure in his mouth. It has been a total game changer for us
