| Agreed. They seem to forget that the unknown is at the very core of what makes something scary. Only seeing glimpses of a creature is much more unnerving than gory but impressive cgi of whatever creature they've conjured up jump scaring you entirely. |

| rook oh and theres so much more ways to learn about whats in the movie now too. i dont watch any horror but i know what happens in a good chunk of movies because of information about it popping up everywhere once it comes out |

| Part of the problem with newer movies is they show too much in the trailers. So you go to watch the movie and it's like nothing can actually surprise you. At least that's my experience anyway |
