Biography
Valor II was named for his great-grandfather, Valor the Faithful, who died shortly before Valor II was born. While the younger Valor never got to meet his namesake, in his earliest days he did meet his great-grandmother, Courage the Strong. The old alpha female's last wish before she joined her mate in the Heavens Pack was that Valor would be trained from his youth in the ways of battle and forest exploration. Valor's parents, the alphas Sol the benevolent and Noctis the Swift, agreed to make Courage's wish a reality. While Noctis was enthusiastic about training his son, Sol was reluctant to begin Valor's battle training at such a young age.
Valor was the only pup of his litter to survive. Being his parents' only pup for his childhood, he got a great deal of attention from them. The alphas loved their son dearly, but they were also strict with him. Remaining true to their promise to Courage, the alphas subjected Valor to intense battle training. Noctis was especially strict. The training was so hard that of Sol and Noctis had not been alphas, the other Keysung wolves would have spoken against their treatment of Valor. But Sol and Noctis wanted their son to be a skilled warrior, and no one could stop them from doing so.
Sol and Noctis frequently brought Valor on hunting trips. Valor loved traveling with the adults and watching them powerfully defeat their enemies. Although Valor enjoyed exploring the forest with his family, he had to put up with the harshness of the forest environment. The pup was exposed to fierce creatures, bitter weather, and painful treks. His parents told him never to complain, and, having been trained from birth to obey his parents, he did his best to refrain from complaining.
Later in Valor's childhood, he was introduced to a pup named Silver. Like Valor, Silver had been trained in battle as well as many other skills. But Silver was introduced to Valor because she had been chosen to be his mate. It was around this time that Sol and Noctis told Valor that he was to be the next Keysung alpha male.
Valor grew to be a strong, bright-eyed juvenile. By then, he had received a a large amount of training and was exceptionally skilled for a wolf his age. Now he no longer watched other wolves fight; he fought alongside them. Both Valor and Silver proved to be powerful warriors, bringing down both prey and monsters with great prowess. Valor felt that he was making his parents proud, and he was.
After Noctis' death at the ripe old age of 19, Sol retired, allowing Valor and Silver to take their positions as alphas. Valor and Silver themselves were quite old by the time they became alphas, but were energetic, competent, and ready to lead Keysung Pack.
