Biography
Sol was born the first and only child of Liberty, a daughter of the Keysung alphas Valor the Faithful and Courage the Strong. From a young age Sol looked up to her grandparents as role models, especially her grandmother, who encouraged the young wolf to train in the art of battle. Sol's mother Liberty, however, objected to the idea of her pup beginning battle training before she was an adult. Courage, while having the power to force Sol to practice fighting, respected Liberty's desire. So Sol waited until adulthood to begin training.
Sol was thrilled to learn the skills that would protect her family. But, unlike Courage, fighting skills were not her primary interest. When she would explore the land beyond the Keysung den, Sol took notice of the many creatures that suffered pain in the harsh environment. Sol yearned to help these creatures, but had no means by which to assist them. When she wasn't training for battle, Sol learned the healing arts, hoping to become an excellent healer who would be able to restore health to injured creatures.
One day at was decided that Sol was to become the alpha female when Courage died. Sol was betrothed to a wolf named Noctis, who was brought into Keysung by another pack. Sol quickly fell in love with Noctis's outgoing and confident attitude, but was disappointed that he did not share in her love of healing. Noctis made it clear that, while he had little interest in wounded fawns and distraught foxes, he respected his mate-to be's goals.
After the death of Valor, Courage retired from her position of an alpha, making Sol and Noctis the new alphas. It was around this time that Sol became pregnant with her first litter. Sol had always wanted to be a mother.
Sol and Noctis led Keysung Pack for many years. When Noctis died at the age of 19, Sol chose to give her position as alpha to her son, Valor II, and his mate, Silver. Sol, who was weary from her many years in a position she did not want, was glad to finally rest. But the death of Noctis had left a strong affect on Sol. Sol had always been a quiet wolf, but after Noctis's death, she barely spoke at all. She also developed strange mood swings that frightened the other Keysung wolves. The most shocking incident occurred when the wolves explored the mountain range for the first time. The wolves encountered an injured rabbit caught in a thorn bush. All the wolves, who knew well of Sol's desire to help and heal animals, expected her to free the rabbit. Instead, Sol killed the rabbit and broke off its leg with her strong jaws. This made all the Keysung wolves worry.

Sol's name pertains to the sun, and like the sun, she brings warmth to all who approach her. They other Keysung wolves often say that a harsh word from Sol is rarer than a deer with wings. Sol certainly is a kind wolf with a motherly disposition, despite the fact that she has no children. Her heart is filled with empathy not only for other wolves but also for many other creatures. This empathy has led her to study the art of healing so that she might help suffering creatures.
Although she is usually a gentle wolf, Sol understands that the world in which she lives is a cruel place crawling with malicious beings. She hates killing, but trains herself in battle for times when she must fight. While she finds the forest beautiful, her favorite place to be is the Keysung den.
Sol struggles with the fact that she is the Keysung alpha female. Not only does she doubt her abilities to lead well, she also has a laziness problem. This is one reason why she spends most of her time in her den. Being an alpha female has definitely improved her character.
Sol's constant companion is a mourning dove named Eve. Sol rescued Eve from a bobcat that was going to eat the dove.
After the death of her mate, Noctis, Sol became quieter than usual and began to display odd mood swings.
