Biography
Noctis is not a Keysung wolf by birth. Rather, he was brought into the pack as a mate for Sol, the granddaughter of Courage and Valor. As Sol had been appointed to be the next alpha female, so Noctis was appointed to be the next alphas male.
When Noctis met Sol, he quickly fell in love with the beautiful and kind she-wolf. He fell in love with her sooner than she fell in love with him, leaving him with the challenge of winning Sol's affections. Eventually, Sol realized that she loved Noctis and admitted her feelings for him, saying she would be happy to be his mate.
Noctis also fell in love with his future position. He liked Courage and Valor and wished them long lives, but at the same time he could hardly wait to take his place as a Keysung alpha. Becoming a beta helped him to learn about leading the pack.
The rumors about Noctis's true loyalty began when he was infected by a werewolf and contracted Parvo. While the other wolves that caught Parvo constantly bemoaned their condition and begged for a cure, Noctis hardly complained. He almost seemed to like the strength and power that came from being a werewolf. The other Keysung wolves began to accuse him of being a Darkseeker or something worse than that. Noctis was furious that his supposed friends would accuse him of such a thing. From them on he almost put on a show of hating Parvo, moaning about it all day and pleading constantly for the silver salve that would cure him.
After Noctis was cured, the rumors about him vanished for the most part. As a wolf in a position of power, Noctis made sure his subordinates respected him and did not question his loyalty to the Lightbringers.

Like the shadows of night, Noctis has a mysterious air about him, even to those who know him well. Many consider him untrustworthy, and some have even accused him of being a Darkseeker under the guise of a Lightbringer. To the Keysung alphas, who never let their guard down, he is generally regarded as a decent wolf and a loyal Lightbringer. His betrothed, Sol, loves him, even though they often disagree.
The truth about Noctis is that he wants to protect his pack and his territory from Darkseekers and other wicked creatures. He is a courageous and confident wolf who gets much happiness from exploring the wild lands beyond his den. He does not like to sit still and will take any opportunity to leave the Keysung dens and explore. Because he often fails to think things through, his strong sense of self confidence and his thirst for adventure can get him into trouble. He has received innumerable injuries from his adventures, including the dreaded Parvo. But scrapes and scratches cannot not stop him for long, and as soon as he is sufficiently, healed, he returns to the forest.
One major flaw in Noctis's character is his stubborn pride. He hates criticism (unless he is the one giving it). When the alphas criticize his recklessness, he submits them out of respect for their ranks, but in his heart, he believes he is right. He has a difficult time learning from his mistakes. On the other hand, he has a fierce loyalty to the things he believes are right, such as defeating the evildoers that prowl throughout the woodlands.
Like day and night, Sol and Noctis are opposites in many ways. Noctis loves exploration. Sol prefers to remain at home. Sol has much empathy for helpless woodland creatures, while Noctis has no concern for them. Noctis eagerly anticipates becoming an alpha wolf, while Sol dreads becoming an alpha. In spite of their differences, Sol and Noctis love each other and are loyal to each other.
