A wolf looks to the grey sky as thunder echos above, still no sign of the coming sun, as smoke fills the stormy air crimson rises above the trees the scarlet flames stand out from the gloomy sky.
Voices echo above the crackle of the nearing flames as the river roars loud above the lightning's sound
as a young wolf looks to the log, the rest of her pack is on the other side but that's when the log breaks off the last thing seen of the small young pup, is her brown-colored fur as the waves take her.
Her brown eyes full of fear as she tries to get out but the flood's wraith too strong, as the sun returns a wolf buries her lost pup in the still damp mud.
From the edge, a storm colored with flames upon her back watches from the shadows her one brown eye now blue like the sunny skies, her cries go unheard as the pack mourns.
the one taken by the flames that brought the storms,
for the crimson flames chassed them to the river, it was the flames that forced her to attempt that dangerous cross,
now a ghostly wolf wanders alone never to realize that shes the one that's gone, her name never to be known for the thunder drowned that out the last fear full cries of a mother as she watched her pup fall
