a wolf walks alone in the woods that still struggle to regrow in this land she's nothing more than a shadow, a ghost of a long-lost soul, one that was taken by the storm so many moons ago.
the flames still are in her mind even now after all this time she wanders looking for her home,
her once brown fur blackened by the ash.
a shadow of summer that turned to ice long before the cold winter nights,
still, voices call out a wolf to her pup full of fear and sorrow as she tells the young pup to flee for the river it was the last hope.
the river was too fast the flames too strong now a shadow wanders the lands a warning to all before a storm like the one she fell to comes.
