But when she did not give them more defect pups, or they had had their fill of her, they made her leave the pack. Every time she had to leave, she wandered for a long time.
Finally, she wandered into the territory of Blue Moon Valley. Blue Moon Valley took her because of her birth defect. She was old, and never did give any defect pups. But unlike the other packs, Blue Moon Valley loved her for her, not what she did or did not give them.
So, she lived out the rest of her life in Blue Moon Valley With her mate, Rafe (who passed long before Haunani) and her two pups, Reed and Afon.
