Kheelan was one of the Fey that belonged to the Unseelie Court. The bad Fey. The Queen was heartless and evil. She enjoyed the pain of others, especially when it came to starstruck lovers. The Unseelie were the most judgmental of all the supernatural creatures in the NeverNever. They preyed upon weakness, mental or physical. Kheelan was like all the other Unseelie Fey. He was out for himself. He was greedy and only did things if they profited him in some way.
Until...
The day he met the melanistic shapeshifer girl. Something in him changed. Softened. He didn't have any idea what had happened, but instead of killing or capturing her and selling her for profit, he let her go. The Queen would have just added the wolf girl to her collection, her mini zoo of shapeshifters. Or perhaps she would have worn her around the court as a new fur coat. Either way, Kheelan could not allow her to be caught. He refused to go see find her after that day. He never once went looking for her. He would keep her safe by keeping away.
But as Fate would have it....Kheelan's and Orlais's fates were intertwined and tangled together in a star crossed love story.
