Biography My name is Chernobyl and I am a mutant.
I was born in south Ukraine sometime in December. My mother was a stray dog, and my father a wolf. I never knew my father well for he left after I was born. Our home was an abandoned building next to a power plant, which we called the Box. I was named Chernobyl after the power plant. My mother warned me never to go outside without her because the humans would get us. Being a obedient pup, of course I listened. But one day everything changed.
The explosion shook the building and the ground I was standing on. A shower of dust fell from the rafters above me and a wall of the Box fell down with a crash. Frantically I glanced around for my mother, but then remembered she was off looking for food. I panicked and ran for a hole in a wall that was still standing. Only my head would fit through the hole, so I had no other choice than to head for fallen wall. A blanket of dust blinded me as I padded, trying to get out. Then I heard my mom scream.
I ran as fast as I could toward to sound of her. I could barely see a thing, so I was constantly tripping over debris. After nearly five minuets of searching for her, I found her. She was on the ground with a big pool of blood around her. A piece of metal was stabbed through her stomach. My eyes welled. I checked to see if she was breathing, she barely was. "You're going to get through this," I said, even though I knew she wasn't. I kissed her forehead as a tear rolled down my cheek. Her eyelids fluttered, and she looked at me with tears in her eyes. "I love you. Now run my darling." Then her eyes closed and never opened again.
I ran as fast as I could and didn't look back. My vision was blurred from my tears. Mother was gone, and there was nothing I could do about it. I wasn't old enough to take care of my self. Hunting was something my mother hasn't got to teach me yet. Something inside of me told me to teach myself, but there was another part of me that needed that crutch. Someone to be there when I was weak. When I needed to talk. When I needed to get ahold of my life. Someone like my mother. I was brought back to reality when a sharp pain hit me in the shoulder. I tried to run, but my knees buckled under me. My vision slowly faded away as the humans closed in.
I was awoken by a loud bang. Then I relized I had been shot. But I wasn't dead, and I wasn't in a lot of pain. My mom had told me about the things that could knock you out once in contact with your skin. I needed out. The small space I was in had one window covered with mesh. I crawled over to it, my shoulder still sore from the hit. I nudged to door, knowing it wouldn't open, but I was wrong. The door swung wide open, revealing cages. Very bloody cages. In some were grey wolves, others stray skinny dogs. They were trying of escape, but their cages were locked. I glanced around frantically, looking for a way out. All I saw was a small window close to the ceiling and a door. It seemed that window was the only source of light in the musty room and the door was most likely locked. I caught my reflection in a mirror, and almost screamed. Projecting from my head were two horns. But then I heard heavy foot steps, and I cowered behind a cage as that door swung wide open.
The light was almost blinding in the dark room. Two large humans walked in, grabbing two cages and taking the skinny mutts out the door. This was my only chance. I ran with all the energy I had out the door, it barley nipping the end of my tail as it shut. The space on the other side of the door was huge. There were many other humans, but there were corpses of skinny dogs too. All the eyes in the room were on me. A few shouted but I couldn't understand what they're were saying and one held a small black object pointed at me. Then I saw a door open and I ran for it. It was all a blur out side. Green tress, a blue sky, the brown wet ground, and tons of shouting. I ran as fast as I could and I didn't stop until night fall. I found a cave and collapsed onto the ground. I don't know how long I slept, but when I opened my eyes I had a group of wolves staring me down.
"Who are you and why are you here?" The first one spoke. He was tan and white, and his voice was low and charming. I slowly stood up. "My name is Chernobyl, I am from Ukraine. There was an explosion at my home and my mother was killed. I was taken from my home by humans, and I was brought here in a room full of cages." "Are you in need of a pacAk?" A small voice came from behind. "My name is Venus and this is my mate Karakalem. These two here are Indie and Psychosis." She gestured to the two females behind her. "Yes. I would appreciate that." I managed to stammer. \Please see preferences for rest of story/
