Biography My story isn't a long one, but it is a story that should be told. I was born a wolf that wanted to do nothing but help any wolf I could. I tried my hardest to do everything I could for my pack, but they didn't appreciate me. So I ran away. I found my current pack and again did everything in my power to make every wolf happy. But again they didn't appreciate me. Again I left. Again I found another pack. One night, in my new pack, a white wolf made of light came to me. She told me I had to go back. That my last pack would fall to ruins if I didn't keep them strong. She told me it was my destiny. When I woke the next morning, I left yet another pack. I ran all the way back to my previous pack. On the way, I hunted so many birds and squirrels and mice and voles and rabbits that I had to put all of the prey on an old bear carcass I found. I was able to skin the bear easily since the meat was decaying. I dragged all of the prey back to my previous pack, who I found starving. They were thrilled to see me and the food I had brought with me. The alpha male came up to me. "We are so glad you are back," he said gratefully, hunger and weakness in his voice. "All of the food in our territory has become sick, and the water isn't safe to drink." Immediately, I remembered the bear carcass. It had been in the river. "I know why," I said. I ran over to the prey, plucking two feathers from a blue jay. I gave them to the alpha. "These are the two cleanest feathers from the biggest blue jay I captured. Set them on the ground in the middle of our camp. If they blow away, it means I'm not coming back because something has happened. Save what prey I have captured, pacing the pack off of what there is. I will return with more before the prey is gone." The alpha seemed confused, but he nodded. "And when you return, will you become my Alpha female?" I was stunned. I took a minute to process, then I smiled and nodded. "Of course." Then I turned and ran all the way back to the bear carcass. By the time I reached the carcass, it was nightfall. I tried to drag the carcass out of the water, but every time I took any piece of the bear in my teeth, it crumbled away in my mouth or maggots exploded in my teeth. That gave me an idea. I started tearing pieces away, moving the carcass away from the water bit by bit. I moved it far, far away. Somewhere it could never pollute the river. By the time I finished, it had been two nights. I felt a breeze stir my fur, then I remembered the feathers. I washed off in the river before running back to my pack. When I returned, my pack celebrated me. They praised me. They showed signs of submission. Finally, I was appreciated. My Alpha - my MATE walked up to me, the blue jay feathers in his mouth. He wove them into the fur behind me ear so I would always remember the promise I had fulfilled, and the pack would always remember my loyalty. With me as alpha, my pack never goes hungry, the water stays fresh, and we remain happy.
