Biography "Goodbye, my sweet daughter..." The light drained from her mother's eyes and the last breath of life left her nostrils. "Mother! No!" Deva stumbled to her mother's body and buried her nose in her fur. Sobs filled the air as she wept. Tears streamed down her beautiful face. Deva stayed like that for the rest of the night, keeping vigil for her mother's cold body.
Deva stalked through the forest, pursuing a fleeting rabbit that had the stupidity to show itself. She was hungry. Hungry and tired. Her stomach growled and her feet ached. Deva was alone. Once she had kept vigil for her mother, she had buried her and left. That had been a year ago. Now she was a loner. No pack, no family, no one. The only thing to accompany her was the burning hatred for the murderer of her mother. She would find him, and he would suffer.
She slinked through the ferns, following the scent of him. Deva had stumbled across the male days ago. He had made a kill nearby and she had been wandering though the trees when the bitter yet familiar smell hit her. She had followed him to his den. Deva quietly padded through the entrance. He was fast asleep. She stood over his body. His eyes snapped open. "I found you." A slash. A scream. Silence.
