Kapri wandered towards the border between Vuxtakoika and Vuxtazeri, her belly was swelled. "I don't want this pup to have a higher birthright than my son Kaper," she said. She gave birth to a small female, whose face was divided into what looked like the sun and moon. "I can't let Fletcher know you're alive." She trotted off back towards Vuxtakoika leaving the little girl all alone.
A wolf approached. Her pelt was black with patches of red. "Hello little one," she said. I saw your mother, how awful. I don't think anyone will be coming to get you, so how about you live with me?" The pup leaned up against her and gave a satisfactory sigh. "All right then, how about your name is Sumerki, or Twilight, as you were born on the border between two foreign lands. My name is Gladyn, by the way."
