I feel like there’s levels to owning parrots and despite their size, quakers are definitely high level birds. Their body language is all over the place and they’re very particular with people too. They’re so playful though, but I’ve rarely met one that wasn’t traumatized or had behavioral issues due to trauma or mistreatment from the pet store or breeder. I almost bought one before I decided on cockatiels, I’m in love with my tiels if it isn’t obvious haha

Quaker parrots need a lot of stimulation and parrots in a pair are very hard to bond in my experience. I had a Quaker bite my cheek in front of a customer one day, not for any reason, just because she was being cheeky. Honestly if your mom is open to it, she may enjoy owning cockatiels more than quakers. Quakers and conures are very territorial, bitey and high energy. They’re lovely when properly trained, but theyre like malinois. Tiels are so sweet and rarely ever bite unless they are super scared. The males love to sing and they’re very personal/snuggle buddies

Sar They are mean no matter what. She used to have one named duke. He was so sweet. Then my brother let him outside when his wings weren't cut and he wasn't trained yet so he flew away and my mom got a male and female bonded pair. Even my mom is having trouble bonding with them and they bite her.

Eas Quaker parrots. Sorry slow reply. Dogs are being a little annoying

Also make sure you never react to a parrots bite, they are like children and react to any sort of attention. If biting gets reactions then they will do it more, even if it isn’t out of aggression. If they bite you when holding them then they need to go to their perch or cage for a timeout. All parrot breeds bite for different reasons though so that’s something to consider

Cypress Some birds are very cage aggressive and also little butts during bed time. I own cockatiels, pigeons, parakeets and finches and all of them are so sour when it’s time to go up for bed. The tiels aren’t as bitey, but the sass cuts into the heart
Beachbeagle
Anybody got any beachy names? Ill also accept names of anything that is blue or yellow.
Easnem
Cypress What type of birds? We had a conure and he could be so mean for no reason sometimes
