in a world of predators, they were the vagabonds who took what they desired by force.

her physical form was her greatest weapon; her coat, a complex brindle, allowed her to dissolve into the flickering, skeletal light of the autumn forests. she did not receive her silver piercings as mere ornaments, but earned them as trophies --- each cold glint of metal representing a successful, high-stakes incursion she had spearheaded against clans far larger and more established than her own.

however, the tribe's insatiable aggression eventually became their undoing. during a disastrous, ill-fated ambush against a formidable tribe, her scouts were systematically dismantled. she emerged as the sole survivor of the slaughter, forced to spend the following months as a rogue tormented by the screams of her fallen kin.

the biting cold of her isolation, she came to the harrowing realization that a life defined by thievery and brutality offers nothing but a concave, lonesome end.

seeking a fundamental change of spirit, she tracked the scent of the beldham. she sought to offer her unparalleled navigation and reconnaissance dexterities to a brood that prioritized fortitude and protection, trading the life of a bandit for the honor of a sentry.
