Biography Jathor and Artemis trudged along the side of the river, paws caked with mud. Jathor was still in shock from the events earlier that day. ~~~~~~~~~~ Jathor and Artemis had been born to a gorgeous female named Little Fawn, a peaceful looking warrior who had bred with a warrior from outside the pack. At first their birth pack had been overjoyed at the union, as the father was a near legend, and the Alpha had hopes that at least one of the pups would be an asset to the pack. The joy was utterly destroyed upon the birth of the pups. None showed the promise of a true warrior. In fact, all were near runts. In a rage, the Alpha set upon the pups, crushing one between his paws and throwing the tiny body into the river. As he turned to destroy the two remaining pups, the tiny bundles of fur opened twin blue-green eyes. The male pup accidentally nipped the Alpha as he went to sweep them into the river, shocking the older wolf. The Alpha decreed that the pups would be carried into the forest and abandoned. If either ever returned to the pack, they would show themselves true warriors worthy of their bloodline. ~~~~~~~~~ A night passed, and in the morning a lone wolf found the pups. He almost ended their lives in mercy, but something stayed his paw. Instead, the loner curled around the two, sheltering them until they awoke. The pups were starving. The loner found a pregnant badger and killed her, then fed the pups on her milk. The two had received their First Feeding soon after they were born, and so had a chance to survive, even if it was only a slight chance. ~~~~~~~~~~~ A month passed. The loner, White Raven, raised the pups, keeping them warm at night, enticing them to eat pre-chewed scraps of soft meat, and teaching them basics of survival. They skirted various pack territories on their journey. White Raven told the pups about a mountain valley, where it was forever Spring. Loners could find shelter there for as long as necessary. The pups grew stronger each day, playing with each other and White Raven. Sadly, this did not last forever. When the pups were two months old, the small group passed by the territory of a hostile pack. The Alpha, a black warrior wolf named Dark Phoenix viciously ripped White Raven open from chest to groin, leaving him to bleed out in agony. The pups backed up to the edge of a cliff, watching their guardian fade before their eyes. Dark Phoenix stalked toward them, fangs bared, unknowingly about to finish what the last Alpha started. With one paw stroke, he sent the pups flying into the river below. ~~~~~~~~~ The pups fell several feet into the raging river, desperately paddling in the rapids, but eventually exhaustion overcame them. ~~~~~~~~ When next they woke up, the pups were washed up on the riverbank, muddy, battered and bleeding, but undeniably alive. Alive, but lost and alone without White Raven to care for them. ~~~~~~~~ Cody, the Alpha from the Rhondehiem Pack was fishing in the river with his adopted pup Rhineheart when two small shapes limped into view. Motioning Rhineheart to stay silent, Cody laid down in the path of the two. The shapes nearly bumped into him before they noticed the massive black wolf. Jathor howled with rage and lunged, mistaking Cody for Dark Phoenix. Artemis howled and attacked, following her brother. Cody was taken aback at the pups' ferocity, and remained motionless, allowing Jathor's tiny teeth to pierce his leg. Rhineheart burst into motion, tackling the colorful male pup, and sending them both into the river. Artemis tried to go for Cody's throat, only to be pinned by one big paw. She snarled in rage, then subsided in confusion. Whereas Dark Phoenix was a pure black wolf, this Alpha had white markings. Additionally, the Alpha holding her was smaller than the monster who had killed White Raven. She whined in confusion, catching the attention of Jathor, who had been trying to battle the older Rhineheart. Jathor stopped struggling, and looked long and hard at the Alpha. Rhineheart stepped away cautiously, sticking close enough to intervene if necessary. Cody removed the paw trapping Artemis and sat back, allowing the two pups to scrutinize his form. The siblings unconsciously moved closer together. Cody slowly got to his feet, his right foreleg dripping a small stream of blood from Jathor's attack. He looked at the two pups with a cool blue gaze, before motioning in the direction of the pack den, and walking off. Rhineheart hung back near the pups, waiting to see what they decided. Jathor and Artemis exchanged glances. This was a turning point. They could try to make it on their own, two pups in a world cruel even to healthy warriors, or they could choose to follow the Alpha, the insane Alpha who would accept pups who attacked from not understandable reason. Artemis dipped her snout. She would follow Jathor's lead. Jathor surged to his feet, following after the retreating Alpha
Breeding Info N/A
| Personality (Bio Cont.) , Artemis right behind him. Rhineheart watch the two, smiling slightly. Red Dawn would be ecstatic. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Very protective of his sister Artemis. He respects Cody, but can not quite bring himself to trust the Alpha. In general, Jathor is suspicious of everyone, and it takes time and effort to get him to trust. If it had been up to him, Jathor would have likely tried to live like the loner who raised him and his sister. He wishes one day to destroy the Alpha who killed his sibling and sent him and his sister to die in the forest.
Preferences Jathor doesn't really like Cody; he thinks that as an Alpha, Cody is really strange. The fact that the black wolf resembles the Alpha who murdered Jathor's father-figure right in front of him and Artemis doesn't help.
