In Ruffer's twilight years she kept at being the roughest and the toughest, and sought to teach her eldest pup all that she knew. Now her time had ended - but The Wolves of Time would last eternally, until the day that the sun stopped rising. She had done her very best. That was all anyone could ever ask from her.
She would never be parted from Mennen, and she would always be with her sons and daughters in spirit. And one day, Wulf willing, she would see her pups again - and later their pups, and their pups, and their pups, and their pups. Their bloodline would stretch all the way into the future of all wolf-kind, and it had all started with her. She would be remembered forever and ever.
