Biography
You come across a wolf sitting at the edge of a thicket, her eyes distant, fixed on something beyond the trees. Her coat is a mixture of deep grays and silvers, blending with the shadows of the forest. She doesn’t notice you at first, but as you pass by, your steps disturb the underbrush. Her head turns just slightly, eyes flicking toward you before she looks away again, quiet but aware. She doesn’t speak, but you can feel a weight in the air around her. "Are you lost?" you ask softly, unsure if you should intrude on her solitude. She doesn’t answer right away, her gaze still locked somewhere distant, like her thoughts are far removed from the present moment. After a long pause, she speaks, her voice almost too soft to hear. "No..." She glances up at you, her expression unreadable. She looks back down at the earth beneath her paws, her tail flicking restlessly. Her words come slower now, as though she’s weighing each one carefully. "I thought the smog might take me... but... they found me before that happened." You and Marrowshade are quiet for a long time, and for a moment, you almost wonder if she's finished speaking. When she does finally continue, she speaks softly. "They didn’t force me... but I didn’t...I just wasn't needed anymore" Her gaze flickers toward you again, to Branok who bows his head slightly, and then back to you, but this time there's something more resigned in her eyes. Whatever comes next, they won't abandon her.
