Yea i thought I would be all but forgotten if i was inactive for so long, haha I think it helped that my name and flag are the same and i fear forever will be
@Stray Those arent text speak those are more acronyms for military lifestlye so the rules are looser on things like that because its a job title like HR
@kycantina i do believe it is a rule as you are advertising, even if its unintentionally. at least thats how i remember the rule explanations back when i was hyper active
I'm always of the mentality that accidents are a way for mods to remind everyone the rules, not just the person who broke them. For example, when I accidently use text speak or post in the wrong chat, even if the mods call me out for it I know that others remember the rules in that moment too. Plus, the mods here are super nice, so if you ever feel like they're actually mad at you if you talk to them privately I'm sure they'd be happy to explain more/ease your anxieties. (I say that mainly because usually the people the mods are actually mad at aren't going to go out of their way to discuss the issue and make amends).
With the no text talk rule being pitched for helpign those with screen readers / not being first language speakers of English, I honestly wouldn't mind no text speak. It really do help them out, I think.
(I use a screen reader sometimes because my eyes can get weird. Hearing that automated voice try to say GG is never not the funniest thing ever)
The one that always gets me is linking a wolf that's for sale/breeding if you're just talking about it in chat. I don't think it's a Rule rule but some mods are really strict on it lol
